“i was savagly attacked at the best buy at5425 w touhy skokie.a homless man who best buy allows to stay there and play computers .i was leaving the store when a black man 30 years old cut me off with i divi bike and demanded money i told him i had none , and he attacked me with no security from best buy coming to help. the skokie police were great as the arrested him as i placed charges. went back for the last time to best buy to pickup my computer today. thw manager said the same guy was in there today playing computers. i was outraged, thwy release this savage, and best buy welcomes him back in. his stolen bike is there and his clothes. i wouldnt go to best buy ever again. i guess this savage means more to them ,then paying customers. “Very helpful, especially for people who have trouble making ends meet. They offered me lay a way. I had orders that came in very quickly than was supposed to be. I even had a mattress order that came in a box. I was a little worried because of stories I heard about mattresses in a box carrying an odor permanently. Once they came and opened the box I didn't smell a thing. Didn't need to air it out or anything. I was able to sleep on it the same day. They gave me a box spring that was too high. When I called them about it the came back the following day and exchanged it with no problem.”

“Attended the BBQ SMOKED BRISKET class yesterday with my son and we had an amazing time. The Class was taught by a national champion. We learned how to trim and separate a whole brisket into the FLAT & POINT, rubs, wood, pellets sauces and...The Class included two beers, a whole 12lbs raw BRISKET to take home, two jars of rub and our own filet knife. The event was awesome. The store was like a BBQ'rs Disneyworld. The owner and his employees were also wonderful.I would highly recommend Backyard Barbecue.”

“We are lucky to have this place nearby. I usually go to Lucy’s in Zion for appliance parts as I am in Lake County. Though they stock the part I needed this time typically, they happened to be out of it. By backup (Abt), was out of stock too. They suggested Automatic Appliance Parts at the exact same time I found online they had 18 of the gas bake igniter for my range that I needed. They were also open at 8:30am on Saturday. I’m stock and open on Saturday mornings is already a huge bonus.When I walked in and gave them my stove model number and told them I needed an ignitor I thought they looked up the wrong one because he gave me an automatic discount on the part from what I knew the price was online.Local, open early and weekends, large stock of parts, good pricing and knowledgeable people, if you don’t treasure places like this, you are a lost consumer.They may become my go to source for appliance parts. They not only have their inventory online but accept Apple Pay too.I am at a loss trying to find a flaw here….”

“American Heritage installed a beautiful fireplace for us when we lived in the city, roughly 15 years ago. It performed beautifully and we enjoyed it for years.We now live in the suburbs and have American Heritage service our fireplace. We have the same technician every year, which is key for the health and safety of our fireplace. Ricardo is awesome with his service and especially with his guidance for proper use and safety. “The LG BP530 Blu-ray Player I ordered through World-Import played the PAL format discs I ordered from down-under on my NTSC equipment with no problems. And that is even when sending the HDMI output through a wireless extender to a CVBS converter to an old CRT TV! I put in any kind of disc and hit play. I could not be more pleased.”

“My wife and I just discovered this store recently. They have the most cutting-edge kitchen appliances that I've seen at any store. They let us shop and look around without bothering us. But at the same time, salespeople were available for questions. The employees were so nice that they let us shop for an extra 15 minutes after the store closed and didn't even say anything. Quite frankly, my wife and I weren't aware of the store hours.The products here are very expensive but they are from the best quality brand names.”

“TLDR; Outstanding experience! (Paint department). Massive shout out to the amazing worker who was able to help me with my home improvement project. I came to Home Depot not knowing how to paint, and left confident enough to finish the project in one night. The young gentleman working in the paint department on Jan 18th, 2024 ~8p was extremely knowledgeable and gave me amazing advice. My bathroom turned out beautiful!! Everyone I spoke to showed kindness and compassion, which is rare these days.. I now found a new love for Home Depot and am excited to shop at this specific store again (I even came back for more paint!!)”

“This is the thing I love about Coles and why our next purchase will be from them: each person is kind and has the training, knowledge, and, most important of all, the authority to actually solve problems, not merely be sympathetic about them. Great place. I highly recommend them. I needed a favor, a seemingly simple favor but a favor nevertheless. I called all the big box stores. They were, for the most part, kind and, in an odd way, responsive: they killed me with encouragement. But after three weeks of encouraging phone calls with Customer Service agents and managers alike, and unanswered phone calls and promised but unreceived emails from the folk who might could actually do the favor, I was no where but two weeks behind: everyone said this should be possible but no one could do it, despite being willing to. Remarkably, it was an Orange Big Box Customer Service agent in rural Kansas who lead me to Coles. She said to me, "When I needed this I called my local furniture store." I said, "There aren't any anymore where I'm from." I was wrong. It took 24 hours. I found Coles on my first online search and was embarrassed to realize they have been in my neighborhood a few decades longer than I have. I got Kevin first call, first ring. He said, "No problem," and put me in touch with Charles. Who responded promptly by email. And by the next day I was on the phone with Mark on one of the trucks. Problem solved. And then some. Most big purchases I dread. The research. The feeling all along that the house has rigged the game no matter how hard I work. My next big purchase I am actually looking forward to because it will be from Coles.”

They come in early, by like 0500, but load up their own box trucks first. They do not go by appointments. First come first served. Easier to enter by Addison street and exit behind the home depot.”

“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”

“50/50 chance to find what you want within 15 mins. 25% chance to find someone to help you find anything without an attitude. 10% chance to find someone that knows more about what you need than you do! lol.And 100% chance the person that helps you will use the same app that I just used and be just as confused as I am. Seriously, I’m usually there for a minimum of 30 mins to get nuts and bolts… you know in those drawers that have nuts and bolts already torn open (stolen) before I got there and no one replenished the stock or took out the empty bags. Regardless, I keep going back. Why? They offer military discounts (10%) and I appreciate that. Bottom line, I eventually find what I’m looking for 90% of the time, it’s just never quick!”

And watches are different and when I brought my old watch screen protector in even though they didn't mean to. They did the exchange which I thought was nice of them.
