“My husband and I have purchased a rug crafted in Tabriz from a blend of wool and silk from Moe at Beautiful Rugs and we couldn't even dream of better guidance and the outcome! As soon as we put a rug on the floor, we couldn't imagine our apartment without it. It became a true gem and attention grabber for our guests (even our parents, who are a bit hard to impress :)Buying a Persian rug for the first time is a leap of faith in a way, but Moe offered an outstanding selection of magnificent handmade masterpieces and was incredibly helpful with every detail we asked about. “I had several items that I thought were antiques, but actually were "collectables". The staff at Oakton were great. They took their time looking at my "treasures" but did not rush anything! They held my stash for another day so their partner who specialized in the swords I brought in could really examine them more closely. While I did not come away with the ton of money I envisioned, I did leave satisfied because of the manner in which these guys did business: highly recommended by a good friend, as well as what I'd read online. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakton Coins & Collectibles. They're honest and reliable.”

“I couldn't be happier with the amazing refinishing job Valentino and his team did on an old but beautiful ebony Baker dining table, a large 1780s chest, my daughter's childhood dresser and a vintage magazine holder. They are museum quality now -- and were a disaster before. Their attention to detail and expertise were amazing. And Valentino was so knowledgable and gracious to deal with that it made the whole experience a pleasure. His team expertly and carefully picked up the pieces and delivered them back to my Gold Coast home when they were finished. I smile every time I look at my refinished pieces. I never realized how happy this would make me. And his fees were very reasonable considering the superb quality. Thank you, Valentino!”

I first met Jared from Circa Modern six or seven years ago when he had a very notable booth at 20th Century Cincinnati . I have several pieces from Circa Modern that are definitely in my forever home. This week he was gracious enough to meet me in Chicago despite not being open, and gave me a detailed tour of the shop and new warehouse loft space. I filled my truck with exceptional quality goodies. Also got tips on good burritos nearby. I've been collecting for twenty five years and this is as good as it gets for vintage!”

“We found this place through Etsy (and Instagram) when looking for Mid-Century furniture. We found a great Mid-Century Danish Hutch with beautiful photos online, and went to look at it. The photos really captured the piece (many times online they do not!); I would say the photography of any item will accurately represent it, and they were quick to point out marks on the piece that were challenging to capture on the photos. Colin and Marvin were incredibly helpful and gave me a great price. Most of their inventory is art, but we lucked out with this piece. I highly recommend Prairieland Art & Antiques for the service and inventory!”
