“Let me give you a small breakdown of this place. Conveniently tucked away off the beaten path but very accessible. I was searching around for a reputable body shop as everyone knows, it's better to have one and not need it, than to need it and not have one.I called around for a few places but the caveats were, timing and quality, not to mention price. Usually you can only get two of the latter with the other being sacrificed. I found First Performance through a Google Search and I'll admit, at first I wasn't sure since I haven't heard of this place and I've been around the automotive world for well over a decade. However, I wanted to give them a call. First time I called, Ms. Slim picked up and she was extremely friendly and informative, asked me to drop the car off on an upcoming Friday just to get what I wanted done examined. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it that day so the following Monday I called again and someone else picked up the phone and told me to stop by after 9:00 AM. Let me preface and tell you this was the week of Thanksgiving, so imagine the backlog on this.I showed up promptly at 9:15 AM, walked in and was greeted by two gentlemen, I wasn't sure of the other guy's name but the one who I spoke with his name is Jerry. Jerry in facts runs the place along with Ms. Slim and he came outside and listened to what I was asking for and his professionalism, engaging personality and knowledge really put me at ease knowing that my vehicle would be in good hands.Not to mention, this car was fairly new to me, and it wasn't meant to be out on the roads in colder weather just due to performance summer tires. Regardless, he was able to squeeze me in within an hour or so, and I was patiently waiting at that point.The following day, I received a call from Jerry directly indicating my car was finished. I know he mentioned it would be "likely" done prior to Thanksgiving, however I was very understanding with the holidays that anything could come up, and I didn't expect a business to drop all their work just to work on my car. I doubt they did, but know Jerry and his team did help me out with this.I showed up later that evening, saw Ms. Slim, Jerry and their team and was presented my car. Literally perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better turnaround, overall experience and price to match it all. The paint, which is very difficult to match (tri coat metallic pearl), was done flawlessly.The end results, speak for themselves. I will be referring any and all to this shop as they've earned my business tenfold. Thank you Jerry, Ms. Slim and FPAB team!”

“Tldr- I shopped around a bunch and they offered the best price for my situation. The car looks like new again.We had a swipe accident on our new factory matte finish car. It was hard to find a place that would even try to repair it. The ones that offered, gave me ludicrous quotes. Dentway gave me a super reasonable quote for a dent removal with paint finish. Gave em a try and was throughly impressed. They even covered another unrelated scratch on a door handle as part of our agreement.The resolutes speak for themselves, thank you!”

Turns out the previous shop I went to was intensely deceitful, price gouging me and urging me to fix things that don’t need fixing, while beating around the bush with things that *actually* need fixing.Everyone at Rolando’s is so kind and honest, especially Rachel, who I worked with most of the time. During one incident, she even called the previous shop who was trying to screw me over, explaining that the work they did is what created the problem in the first place. Calmly and professionally.I can’t stress how difficult it is to find honest mechanics these days. If you’re on the fence, give these guys a try. I promise you won’t regret it. I was unable to be there during the inspection, but the staff was able to call me and let me know that they found nothing wrong with my vehicle. I’ve dealt with 3J auto for the past two years as I have leased a car from them.Unfortunately, I was not able to keep the car, but the thing is they have been upstanding, caring, and have bent over backwards to make sure that I had a vehicle to get to work and to take my daughter to her doctors appointments. I’ve never met such upstanding people like I’ve met here. Whenever something happened with the vehicle, they always offered to fix it at a reasonable price. “Schaeffer Auto in Elk Grove Village, IL ~ are an excellent auto repair shop. They fixed my car in under a week. Even though we’re all experiencing delays on certain vehicle parts due to all of the strikes, they were able to obtain the necessary parts and repair my vehicle pretty quickly. I didn’t even have to go through the hassle of making any payments because they handled everything with the insurance company. And the insurance company paid them directly. Schaeffer also went ahead and scheduled a rental car for me which picked me up directly from their shop at the same time that I dropped off my car. And when my car was ready, I just dropped off the rental at Schaeffer and the rental car company came and picked up their car.Schaeffer also buffed out the rest of my car that had minor scratches, washed and vacuumed everything nicely too. The service was outstanding, keeping me updated on the progress. David O’Brien, was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He explained how the process worked.
