“I recently had a great experience at this auto shop. I was having some minor issues with my car and decided to bring it in for an oil change and inspection. I was unable to be there during the inspection, but the staff was able to call me and let me know that they found nothing wrong with my vehicle. They even explained that it may just be due to the age of my car, but that it wasn't a cause for concern as long as I kept up with regular maintenance.As a woman, I appreciate the honesty and transparency that this shop provided me. I felt safe bringing my car here and am grateful that they didn't try to sell me any unnecessary repairs or services. The location is also very convenient to my job, which is an added bonus.Overall, I highly recommend this auto shop for anyone looking for a reliable and honest place to take their vehicle for maintenance. “Schaeffer Auto in Elk Grove Village, IL ~ are an excellent auto repair shop. They fixed my car in under a week. Even though we’re all experiencing delays on certain vehicle parts due to all of the strikes, they were able to obtain the necessary parts and repair my vehicle pretty quickly. I didn’t even have to go through the hassle of making any payments because they handled everything with the insurance company. And the insurance company paid them directly. Schaeffer also went ahead and scheduled a rental car for me which picked me up directly from their shop at the same time that I dropped off my car. And when my car was ready, I just dropped off the rental at Schaeffer and the rental car company came and picked up their car.Schaeffer also buffed out the rest of my car that had minor scratches, washed and vacuumed everything nicely too. The service was outstanding, keeping me updated on the progress. David O’Brien, was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He explained how the process worked. “I recently ordered a replacement hood for a 2013 Honda CR-V. It took 22 total days to arrive. Packaging was superb in my opinion. No amount of bubble wrap will prevent all damage. Color was a perfect match although I expected it to be a bit off due to aging of the rest of the vehicle. Paint quality/job was satisfactory for a replacement hood for a 10 year old vehicle. Plus, it was still $200 less than junkyard replacement. Will certainly use again as I buy salvage cars. Thanks!!”
