Pet Supplies Plus Champaign
2821 W Kirby Ave, ChampaignGreat place to walk. But I would not walk there at night or even when nobody was around. Especially in the summer when the prairie plants grow very high. This park is right on Rising Road and you never know who might show up there.

Tegan Stoerger DVM
3001 Village Office Pl, ChampaignI followed Dr. Davis from the U. Of I. Vet Clinic to AHATC when he began this veterinary practice. I'm not even sure what year that was. I'm 85, so you know I am extremely happy with the competence and care all our dogs (and cats) have received. I have found warm and welcoming professionals from the receptionists, vet techs, and veterinarians throughout the many years I have been coming to this vet practice. The same has been true since Dr. Davis retired and Dr. Stoerger has continued the practice. Every time I've had to make that awful decision a pet owner often faces, I have been supported and eased through euthanizing a beloved furry member of our family, this practice has supported me with their combined veterinary skills, their empathy, and their understanding for my loss. My most recent experience in dealing with my Murphy's struggle with cancer, I was able to get through it with their support and caring. Dr. Stoerger came to my home with a vet tech and told me to let her know when I was ready. (You're not ever really "ready" to lose your friend and companion, but you know it's the last caring thing you can do for them, and I was given the gift of Dr. Stoerger's understanding and empathy for my loss. She has cared for Murphy, my beagle mix, from 2012 when I adopted him until his recent euthanasia. When the mass was discovered in his lung, she told me of the cancer division at U. Of I. Veterinarian Medical School, who were wonderful as well. When I took him there, she shared his medical records with them. In his illness and euthanasia, she was so tender with him--and with me--that I felt comforted, and I know Murphy was as well. I highly and confidently recommend Dr. Stoerger and this practice who will make your pet and you feel not only welcome, but confident in their hands. received. She shared his

Country View Veterinary Clinic
2619 W Springfield Ave, ChampaignAfter moving to the area a few years back, I went to many different vets before coming to countryview from a friend’s recommendation. My cat, dog, and I have been nothing short of impressed with the care and knowledge of the staff in the time we’ve been clients here. Our anxious cat has never been more at ease, and our dog’s allergies have been taken care of so well! I’m forever recommending this office to anyone who needs a veterinarian. Thank you to the staff at countryview for making vet visits calm, informative, and enjoyable for all of us, especially with reasonable pricing!

Pet Sitting & Training
Jodie Vee's
2703 Clark Rd, ChampaignWe have 2 very rambunctious 19 month old chocolate labs and got them into a loose leash training class with Jodie. She has been very patient with us, and has even stayed after to help us with leash and collar choices, also to give more tips and options. Max and Ruby have greatly improved, and as owners, we've learned so much. They have a long way to go with training (as do we!), but could not be happier with Jodie's techniques and obvious love for dogs. We highly recommend Jodie Vee's. Thank you!

The Dog Den
31 E Kenyon Rd, ChampaignI regularly take my dog to the Dog Den for daycare and then use their boarding services for trips away. The staff is always friendly, booking is easy, and I feel like my pup is always excited when I drop him off. I’m thrilled to have somewhere I can leave my dog and not worry about his safety or care. They do a great job!

301 N Neil St Ste 104, ChampaignThe overall of the vibe of the restaurant are very nice and quiet fancy as well. When we enter, we were welcome with a nice staff member and service was pretty good as well. Overall for food it was pretty good too. I would say they have the best ramen in town and the beef back ribs are really good too. The calamari are delicious and crispy. For tge beef don, it was alright. It is a bit on the bland side for taste wise. Overall, had a good experience here and might come back again.

Big J J Fish & Chicken
1114 N Market St, ChampaignHaving not been home to Champaign in awhile, I did not know what to expect and just went with a choice I made from Google - sight unseen.
.
Well, I might not have chose BIG JJ, but am glad I did.
I like to sample things BUT have core items and things I like and ask for. I settled on the fish combo dinner with Catfish and Walleye I then added a piece of fish that I thought was really, really good! It was the Perch. And to top it off, I've had a crazy urge for fried Okra and ordered that as well. And, like the perch, I am damn glad I did as if it was as fresh, or they served it as close to fresh as you'll ever find it anywhere!. I mean three hours later, the fried coating AND the okra inside were BOTH Crispy and tasty.
Good job!!.
However, the parking is a tough one as I chose to park near the front entrance. It is a small area...
There is either additional parking adjacent to the East side that was open, or, it's a vacant lot.
The only negative was partially my fault aa I asked for a bunch of Tarter Sauce, a little Cocktail Sauce, and enough salt to...
However, I barely had enough Tarter Sauce AND the Cocktail Sauce was either homemade but more likely a HOT SAUCE. it was terrible to me but I'm sure those that like hot wings would approve.
Overall, I would have given it a 4.5. Not the 4 and not the 5 but a solid 4.5!!!

Big Grove Tavern
1 E Main St, ChampaignHad early dinner at the Big Grove and was completely blown away. Food was excellent with a variety of menu items that had me wishing my stomach was a bit bigger. I sat at the bar as I was dining alone and the bartender did a great job of explaining the various items I inquired about as well as suggesting a perfect craft beer pairing. I only get to Champaign a couple of times a year, but this will be my go-to anytime in the area.

Ko Fusion
30 E Main St, ChampaignEach time I come here I’m reminded that it is good food but not great food for those that don’t eat sushi. I come here because my husband and friends love sushi and I always get something else because I don’t eat raw fish.
This time I had the bibimbap with tofu which I think is a newer menu item. I previously would get the tofu stir fry which was good but not memorable. The bibimbap with tofu was good but not as good as other spots on campus.
Overall this is a yummy spot but wouldn’t be in my top 5 restaurants of the Champaign-Urbana area.

Paws & Remember
1901 W Springer Dr, ChampaignBeyond kind and caring. They treated my daughter and I with gentleness and patience as we said our final goodbyes to our FatMan. For those concerned with cost, they were very reasonably priced and have a multitude of options from urns to memory items like the inked paw prints and necklaces we opted for. Very satisfied and beyond thankful for Julie and Paws & Remember.
