Pet Care
Dr. Mary Welle
2001 N Linview Ave, UrbanaTerrific care! I have two mini lop bunnies and a 14 year old chihuahua. Dr. Welle and her team are top notch! Everyone is always so kind and patient. They always make sure my pets are healthy with their total care. LaLa, the chihuahua: 0/10 Would not recommend. Well, except that vet tech. She's ok. I like how she scratches behind my ears. I guess she can stay.

Good Friends Animal Hospital
908 E Main St, UrbanaI've used Good Friends for 3 years consistently, nearly since we adopted our sweet girl, Beesly. We initially went to another vet in town and just were not happy at all. Our dog is an anxious mess, and everyone is always so good to her, very gentle, never rushed, trying to go on Beesly's terms. She even did really well overall when we boarded her, and we were all anxious about how that would go!I honestly don't think there is a better place in town, the level of care is unprecedented. The space is always clean and it's very well maintained. All staff that I've had the pleasure of interacting with have been truly wonderful, so knowledgeable and helpful. I'd not trust anyone else with Beesly even half as much as I trust Good Friends. We had appointments during the pandemic, so things were a bit different where I wasn't able to accompany Beesly but she did just great- as I knew she would, I'm truly not sure I would have been okay with that anywhere else.I think the pricing is on par and fair for the services provided. Overall, working with Good Friends gives me peace of mind, and that alone is worth it.

All Creatures Animal Hospital
2001 N Linview Ave, UrbanaWe had to say goodbye to our precious guinea pig Moo Moo Cow last weekend. All Creatures is our primary vet office, but we had to go to the emergency vet at U of I. Well, All Creatures heard the news and went out of their way to send us a card with sweet caring messages. This really speaks volumes and means a lot, even though we were unable to bring Moo Moo Cow in, they still recognize her as their patient. Dr. Sandra has also been wonderful to both of my guinea pigs. She was there for Moo Moo Cow when she needed a risky surgery and she recovered great at the time. I am so glad to have a clinic like All Creatures. They've made a big impact on my piggies lives!

U of I Large Animal Clinic
1008 W Hazelwood Dr, UrbanaThe word colic haunts pretty much every horse owner especially when you learn surgery is the only option other than putting your horse down. The team at U of I Large Animal Clinic saved my 18 year old paint horse’s life. The surgeon Dr. Sara Gray, the residents, the staff and the students were absolutely amazing. My horse is a huge part of my life and my family and I couldn’t imagine life without him. Thanks to the wonderful people here, I don’t have to and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend this facility.

UIUC Small Animal Clinic
1008 W Hazelwood Dr, UrbanaBrought our dog in for a cardio workup after our vet wanted to get her checked out. As you can imagine, we were so nervous about how this would all go, and what it could potentially mean. Not to mention, my dog is an anxious girl in general so it generated a lot of worry on all sides. The staff here were so kind, compassionate, helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. They broke down every step for us, gave us ample time to ask questions, didn't force my dog and let her go at her own pace to allow staff to touch her and approach her. Those things are hard to find, unfortunately- but UIUC Small Animal Clinic has it down!We got consistent updates about what was going on, the vet called us very quickly to discuss results, and you could tell she had a lot of love for her job.We endlessly appreciated this experience, and while I'm glad to not have to visit any time soon- I wouldn't hesitate with this practice.

Caffé Bene
700 S Gregory St, UrbanaI come here about once a week or so and it’s honestly one of my favorite spots on campus to get a quick bite or study! Staff is always very friendly and approachable and pay great attention to detail which really makes the space feel so welcoming.I haven’t tried a lot of items from here but for their drinks, I would recommend their smoothies especially the mango passion fruit and as for food the apple and brie cheese croissant is a great pick!

Espresso Royale
1117 W Oregon St, UrbanaMarie (Sia) the morning barista is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. She always welcomes customers as they enter. Those she knows by name are greeted with "Hello (add your name). She makes my day start with a smile and hot coffee. What more can I say? I can say I come here to be energized by Marie. I can get coffee and Casey's if I just want coffee.
