“I hunted the island since Dec. looking for a dresser. I had something in mind and after searching every furniture store outlet in the vicinity of Honolulu and on line I pretty much gave up. The inventory was either too expensive or too large for the space.Thank goodness I came across an ad for a dresser listed on FB Market. It was exactly the style and color I wanted, and I saved so much money!It was one third the price, and looked just identical to the dresser I saw in one of the local furniture stores. I wanted to send a big mahalo to Grace the store owner, and the two employees Allene and Kilana for keeping it safe so it was there for me when I got to the store today. It was a perfect transaction and it was a perfect dresser.”

“My spouse and I just moved to Waipahu and don’t have our car yet, so we walked to the nearest furniture store. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and a smile and walked the floor. Found the couches we wanted, a dresser, and an entertainment center all very reasonably priced. When checking out, Eunice was very friendly, helpful, and thorough with what to expect with delivery. I am more than pleased with the furniture and the staff here! 5 stars isn’t enough to give them. (Picture of the furniture we received!)”

“I cannot thank Rent-A Center enough for coming to my rescue! After being away from home for a few days, I come home to a refrigerator that wouldn't stop beeping and displaying a power outage error code. I spent a LONG time trying to troubleshoot the problem myself as it was already later in the evening and too late to call any professionals. Nothing worked! I was very concerned because my fridge and freezer weren't as cold as they should be. The next morning, I chatted online with a Whirlpool representative who was of no help. The representative just asked me if I did all the things that I had tried the night before. Basically, they said there was nothing they could do for me and I would need to contact someone locally. I remember my parents having their fridge break in the past, so I asked them what they did while waiting for a new fridge. They said they rented a fridge. I didn't even know that was a thing! They recommended me to Rent-A-Center. I called them as soon as they opened. Initially, they said they could put me on standby the next day and if that didn't work out, then they could put me on the list for the following week. I couldn't wait that long! I guess the employee could hear the desperation in my voice and went to speak to their manager. Somehow they were able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule for the day. After looking through their inventory, the employee was able to find me a 14 cubic feet fridge. You agree to a month long rental, which came out to $108.28 plus taxes and because I would need drop off/pick up it was another $150. She took all my contact information, including my social security number which I thought was odd, but she said it was to see if I qualify. The paperwork was emailed to me so I could DocuSign it. She also mentioned that I would need to call one week prior to the expiration of the month's rental to confirm pick up or ask for an extension. Then I was all set! By about 4:30 that afternoon, the refrigerator rental was dropped off to my unit! Just needed to plug it in for about two hours and I was able to transfer (and save!) most of what was in my fridge/freezer. Bless your hearts Rent-A-Center Waipahu! Thank you for your amazing customer service. They really put customers first. You saved the day!”

“Awesome Customer service. They really work hard to provide you with the right services made just for you. Brought my living room set, washer and dryer AC/ stereo system with them. Gail worked endlessly with us though the pandemic. It was the worst time for everyone but they took the time to help make our experience worth while. “Located in Pearl City, this store is like the others in setup. The parking is large enough to accommodate, but there maybe traffic getting in and out to the street due to the way the road is designed. Overall it is okay.”

“I called in and ISA was so efficient with my order of 60 feet copper coil piping. I needed to have the order picked up at Honolulu store but unfortunately I called the Waipahu store. Isa didn't get upset. He just gave me instructions on how to get my order filled accurately with kindness and patience Great service ISA!!!”

“I needed a replacement part for my Kemore dryer. The person at the counter was very helpful. He tested my part which was working. He suggested to replace the door switch which fixed the problem. Saved me from buying a new dryer.”

“Great place from Herman in sales to Joel in the delivery and maintenance section. Even the delivery guys were a pleasure to work with. Had a slight issue with a scratch and dent appliance i bought here (at a great price) and they are taking care of it. They really are going above and beyond to make this issue right and I appreciate their honesty and professionalism. I would not hesitate to buy more appliances from them in the future. I highly recommend this place!”

“First of all...coming to A's Kirby...working for A's Kirby...for over 20 years. This business has been dedicated to God...owned by a woman who has been in Kirby since 1982. She , along with my Father owned and ran H&C Texaco for 22 years. Texaco closed 1982...she went into Kirby..1982..so.she has been with Kirby for over 40 years.Customer service has always been a priority for Connie and crew. We have a Certified Mechanic..and gives warranty on service that is done.As for the car being parked in the front of our door with exhaust coming through..please turn your car off. We have no other source for fresh air, but through only the door. Common sense would tell you...shut your car off. What has happened to our society...not a care about anyone else but yourselves. As a reminder, please be kind and considerate. We are all trying to stay well and safe, and make a living.May I remind you..America was built on sales people.Last but not..least...we are here to serve...Kirby is not sold in stores but only through door to door sales. “On 11/24/2023, I saw a Christmas inflatable that I really wanted to buy. I asked salesman Mike if he could see if one was available for purchase. He checked all the aisle but the inflatable on display was the last one. Seeing how much I wanted the inflatable he went to check with his supervisor if I could purchase the Santa on a sailboat inflatable that was on display. I not only got to purchase the inflatable that I wanted, he gave me $20 off because it was the display. Thank you Mike for the AWESOME customer service...I appreciate you!!!”

“Bought a stack washer dryer from Home Depot Got it delivered on Feb 14. Delivery man said not enough power so hired an electrician. Electrician said the washer hose not set up properly so called Home Depot again to come out and check. Delivery man. said to call Whirlpool because drain hose broken. Then for days and weeks and hours on the phone began! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! Majority of the operators sounded like you woke them from a nap! One day the wait time was 1 hr!After all that run around I called Home Depot for help. Demanded I speak with a manager. Finally one called me back 3 days later and said she would look into it that day. Then the next day I got a call from Newtown Appliance, Carl. He said he would go out and check on it. That afternoon he went out and fixed it! The delivery men did not hook it up properly like the electrian said! It took almost a month to get it hooked up!THANK YOU SO MUCH TO CARL OF NEWTOWN APPLIANCE!!!”

“I almost never leave reviews, but I literally had one of the best customer service experiences ever. Shout out to Austin (I believe that was his name). He was soooooo patient with me and very thorough when explaining all the pros and cons there were for each different type of laptops and brands I was interested in and I could tell that he genuinely cared that I got the best quality and best price. I can be very indecisive at times when there's too many factors to consider, but he was very very patient and understanding. So Austin, if you're seeing this, thank you sooooooo much!!!”

“This is my favorite place to buy plants, mostly starter herbs, as they rotate fast here. I love the location and its accessibility AND that you don't have to go into the actual store for anything (unless you want to) as all your gardening supplies are in one place. The plants are separated by how you're supposed to plant them and where according to sun exposure, more, less, shade, no shade, etc. Big plants, small plants, big pots, small pots, half wine barrels, wheel barrows, shovels, hoes, trowels, pavers, it's just a gardener's delight here. There's also a great selection of soil to replant from regular potting mix to orchid mix and all the fertilizer you'll need for the season. All the plants are healthy, I've never had to return anything or been disappointed with the advice I've been given. You can literally park within twenty feet of the entrance/exit and the usually have the boxes to carry away all your little baby plants in. Pets are welcome, another reason I like to frequent this store.”

“Been coming to the Waikele Lowe's for years and due to a kitchen and bath remodel I've been going to the home improvement stores frequently I had to post that this store's Customer service has improved dramatically. Last week I was looking for flooring and an associate walked up to me before I even need help. My husband even mentioned that it was rare not to have to look around for help as we have to at the competition. Later another associate helped me to check inventory and as I was looking for the samples to bring home he even marked out a plank as a sample for me to bring home. Last week we also went in for a microwave. Went to 3 places and this store was the only one that had it in stock. It was $10 more than the lowest prices store who told me it was back ordered but $30 less than the other big box competitor. I'm so happy to see a store that can manage to attract and train good employees!”
