He helped recommend fabrics, colors and styles to provide the exact look we wanted for both the photos and wedding day, while also keeping our budget in mind. Roger’s knowledge of garment fitting and attention to detail resulted in a fit that was perfect on the first try and required no additional alterations. This took so much stress off from us and meant that we got to check the box for having his tux earlier than expected. Thanks to Roger and the staff at Hall Madden for helping us ensure my fiancée will look and feel his best for the special day! We will be future Hall Madden customers for all our suit and special occasion needs.”

“If you want great service, quality tuxedos, and a local business, go to Lustre Formal Wear. Literally a block from the Capitol, Tony and his wife own this business the last many years.Although they do same service without extra charges, I came to Tony a month ahead of a formal wedding. Going on a Friday afternoon, there was no wait. Tony measured, fitted, and built the right tuxedo for me with matching shoes. The cost was around $250.The entire fitting experience took around 20 minutes! If you’re hungry, visit Le Bon Cafe for French toast afterwards.”

I had an $800, fully sequined, jumpsuit tailored at Everard's Clothing. I thought this would take at least 3 days to alter. They called the next day to let me know it was ready. It fits like a glove and looks absolutely perfect! “I went there on Oct 29 at 7:30pm. John was great! He was very polite and took serious initiative to order my size because he knew my size is special order. My brother was on the phone speaker and asked John specific details and he knew the answers. I showed him a picture of the suit and found me a pair to match a dark grey and navy.He also made sure I would get them by Thursday.John is great! I am definitely going back in the spring when he is there.”

“Shopping for heavy clothes and timeless classic wool jackets in August was a bit unexpected given the sauna like heat of DC. That said this place is a gem. I originally looked online for some clothes but strongly recommend going in person as the clothing cuts vary from the sizes I normally take. Love the heavy duty look and feel of sturdy button fly supply pants and the zippered fly field cargo pants. The red wool Mackinaw jacket shirt in XL was so large in the chest and sleeves...I think two people could fit inside. Yet the xl service shirts fit me true to size. Anyway thank goodness for Nick in the DC location. He was very familiar with the generous jacket cuts and made finding the right size and processing a return stress free. I took a medium in the wool jacket btw. If you are someone obsessed with old school durability and quality in your fall and winter clothes...you must check this place out. I will definitely be back to pick up a pair of unwashed hard jeans which caught my eye when it gets a bit cooler. They are super stiff and look great with a cuff.”

“One of my favorite stores on the east coast. A few years back I picked up some rare Pg. 99 records. Last time I was there I saw multiple Townes Van Zandt records. They also sell skateboarding stuff there, too. Downside to the last time I was there is that it reeked of weed, but that wasn’t the end of the world. It’s definitely a great shop; however, if you’re looking for more obscure or rare punk/hardcore, Joint Custody is where you want to go.”

One of us has a bodybuilder build so he was very challenging to fit. But Ike Behar was able to get him fitted perfectly.We had the second fitting at the Georgetown store. The salesperson was friendly and helpful.I highly recommend Ike Behar for tuxedos and suits. They have superb quality at a reasonable price.”
