The staff at this Walgreens were very helpful and efficient. The location is easy to get in and out of if traffic off the highway isn't heavy. The store was relatively clean and offered a good choice of many options for the item I needed for my mom.”
“I usually use Hancock pharmacy but because they were out of stock on a medication that I needed I was referred to Visels Pharmacy and they were kind courteous and professional. I like using smaller pharmacies rather than franchised pharmacies because they treat you like a person. They are my choice if ever in a jam again. “This store is in a superb location. It is easily accessible and very convenient. The shelves are only semi stocked and the employees are friendly, but not very knowledgeable. There is plenty of parking available.With the right management, this store could come back to its former glory. Considering its proximity to downtown New Haven, it is a gem waiting to be rejuvenated with the proper, prompt attention.”

“They have been very cooperative with mailing our prescriptions during the COVID mess. Have been an excellent place for flu shots and they helped me search for a lower priced medication to replace a pricey one. Their text system for alerting you to an upcoming refill was great. I say "was" because the only problem I have had is that once, I accidentally tapped "Stop" in reply to a text from them, and I was removed from the list. Five different people have said they added me back, but I am, sadly, not back. This has been going on for about a year.”

“that on 9-28-2023 @ 6 pm I made an appt for the covid shot - appt: 9-29-2023 , 1030 am .. I arrived at @ 10 am.. the pharmacy was just opening . checking in was smooth, nice intake person. I waited till @ 1045 am .. I was administered the vaccine - very professional, very good the phlebotomist - friendly and helpful. a good experience at the Walgreens - Whalley av/ Ellsworth av.. ~ JDS”

“This is an okay CVS. I would say that it's no better or worse than the next CVS. There is no drive-theu for the pharmacy due to being located in downtown (adjacent to the New Haven Green on the corner of Chapel & Church street).”

“Walgreens is where I do most of my banking. I use Chime and store policy allows me to add cash to my cards, cash app, chime, ect. For no fees!I don't use them for prescriptions because they are short on pharmacists and can shut down unannounced which had left me out of my meds for a few days. I hope they get their pharmacy together.”

“I've been with Unity Pharmacy since relocating to New Haven about 1.5 years ago, though they have a few locations throughout the state. I desperately needed a pharmacy that delivers, which I could also make my "home pharmacy," as I have a distinct set of medications I looked to have taken care of. Since my business there, I literally have no concerns with Unity. They handle my medications so that I can handle the rest of my life. Inez, a driver, is always so willing to accommodate my schedule, too, delivering my medications at times convenient to me if I'm not home.
