“Friendly staff with huge variety of unique food items only found at Trader Joe's. Prices are fair with a bit of a more healthy-oriented angle. Love the nuts and dried fruits with a large selection. Fresh fruits and vegetables section with lots of organics.”

“Very casual but the food is great! Their fries are some of the best in town. Hubby usually orders the burger or Reuben sandwich. Only complaint about the Reuben is there's never enough sauerkraut... I almost always order the gyro wrap or plate. It's soooo good. Service is friendly and excellent. If you are wine drinker, you can pick a bottle of wine from their market to bring into the bar and they charge you a corkage fee, but it's still very reasonable, if you like a little bit higher end wine than what's generally poured in a sports bar! Highly recommend this place!”

“I'm originally from Ventura and I grew up right down the street on Nopalito St. My parents always brought me to Yetos growing up. I absolutely love this store and Mr and Mrs Yetos are so awesome. There's no words that can describe what an important part of my childhood they've been. I wish I could go everyday like I used to when I was a kid. Too bad I'm all the way in San Diego now.”

“Dee is the absolute best employee. Everyone comes to this store because of Dee's beautiful energy. She works so hard and makes it a point to go over and beyond for every customer. She keeps the store so clean and tidy. Dee is friendly, kind, reliable. Thanks Dee! Meta Market rocks because of you!”

“Great place for locally sourced produce, especially organic non-GMO. I also exclusively get all my locally raised eggs and cactus flower honey here. Locally produced cactus honey is a healthy and perfect sweetener replacement in coffee.”

“While visiting Ventura recently we needed some provisions. We were staying at Waypoint Ventura. With a little help from Yelp we found ourselves at Red Barn Market. As we parked and got out we were knocked down by super amazing smells coming from the outdoor grill! Inside we discovered yummy salsa, produce, meats and a variety of grocery items. The staff was friendly. We ended up buying tri-tip and chicken that had been cooked on the grill out front. Absolutely delicious. We decided to pair it with a salsa-off (including two choices we picked up from RBM). The Machacada from RBM was the winner to me.”

“Winco may not be the go to store for many. I like coming here for the canned tomato sauce and all other canned goods. The deli counter is also a plus. Good variety of breads. Not a fan of the produce but store makes it up in other areas. Restrooms are always clean.”

“GETTING HERE: Located in the ROSS shopping center on Telephone/Main. Look for the Lamps Plus and you'll be set. REVIEW: My co-worker talks about Aldi daily. It's her favorite store. All the things. While I admit I am not quite yet the President of the Aldi Fan Club, maybe I'm getting close. I've been to a handful of them in the V.C., and this location is probably one of the better ones. I know service can vary anywhere you go, depending on staff etc., but this Aldi is a bit different. I love the layout. I love the shelf-stable items; next on my to-do grocery list is to try some of their frozen foods. The snacks/chocolate items are really good, too. Please give me all the chocolate. Staff have been sincere and pleasant every visit. It's a win.Who doesn't love the Aldi? Thanks! For sure recommend.”

“Impressed by the impeccably clean and well-lit store. All labels neatly arranged, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. A wide array of options, especially for campers seeking supplies, food, snacks, or spirits. The versatile deli offers everything from fresh sandwiches to tomahawk steaks for grilling enthusiasts. Not only serving the local neighborhood but also catering to camping travelers heading to the nearby lake. This place rocks!”

“As least great values but check expiration dates when stocking up on the deals because many items are close to expiration. Made a great sheet pan dinner with the groceries I bought yesterday”

“Do you love making beef jerky on your smoker?? If so, this is THE place to buy your meat. A friend, who is an awesome cook, swears by their meat (milanesa). I bought 4 lbs. of Milanesa. The cost was $18.31. I believe that is a fair price. Very fair for great quality, thinly priced meat. The butchers are always friendly. Why not give it 5 stars, you ask?? I will tell you. My issue was at checkout. I was about to pay cash. I noticed that would leave me with about a buck in my wallet. I asked if I could pay with a debit card. The lady said yes. She quickly said the total. I nodded & handed her my debit card. The price was .50 cents higher. I believe in transparency. Please put signs up at the register saying that you are charging extra to use a debit card. If Arco gas stations can do it, so can you. Here is the recipe I followed: Hubby used bottled teriyaki. His sauce was also yummy.”

“Same stuff as in mainland giving you lots of choices. On top of that there are local Hawaiian items that you can't get on the mainland. Higher prices than the mainland.”

“Best Vons in Ventura. Minimal homeless. Exact opposite of Scary Vons. Only thing is all the Buena kids who think they’re all cool. You’ll encounter wild Edgar’s in this area, beware.”

“Very convenient when camping at Lake Casitas and saves a bunch of time. If you forgot anything or didn't pack due to space, you can get it here. They have everything. The place to get fire wood in the park and prices are not really crazy out of line on most items. Shopkeeper seems very nice as well.”
