“Definitely the place to go for meat. This is a hole in the wall hidden gem. If you like fresh cut butcher meats and want decent prices and a no nonsense attitude, this is the place to stop by. Don't let the feel of a Mexican market stop you if you are not used to it, you will get greeted with a smile, even with masks on you can see the smile, and even if you don't speak Spanish, the cashier can easily get the question or answer across to you. I love the Ribeyes and the high quality hamburger. They have every kind of meat you would probably want. Stop by and check it out. Worth it, as far as I'm concerned.”

“If you find yourself in need of filtered, alkaline water near the Channel Islands Harbor, this place may just be your best bet. I stumbled upon it while on vacation and decided to give it a try.Pros: Location: Perfectly situated close to the Channel Islands. Price: At $1.20 a gallon, the alkaline water won't break the bank.Accessibility: Open 24 hoursCons:I must admit, the sight of ants crawling around inside was off-putting, and I wondered about the overall cleanliness and sanitation methods. The lack of ATM or credit card acceptance for the self serve faucets can make some scrambling for payment. They accept cash or quarters only. Also, it's hard to read how much cash the machine has actually registered. It's kind of a "cross your fingers" experience, and you hope you get the proper change back. It's not clear what type of bills they accept. Also, the high pH spout is separate from the main faucet.I was disappointed to find that they didn't fill the gallon bottles to the top! (See photo). While the location and price are appealing, the ants and other minor annoyances make me hesitate to fully endorse this place. Don't get me wrong, I'll come here again if I'm in a pinch, but be aware of the shortcomings and adjust your expectations before you pull up.”

“They have the best pork chicharrón on town, you can find meat, vegetables, tortillas, beans etc. If need something and you dont have time to go to a big store you can go to Fierros meat Market.”

“I come to this store very often - and I’m just gonna say two things. Firstly I do like it and prices are fair - but dude. They almost ALWAYS have very long lines - like having to wait 15 minutes standing in line to pay at the register. They REALLY should have more employees to work the register. I’m here now - there are two lines and they both have about 12 people standing in line as I write this review. Good store - TERRIBLY LONG LINES. Year round.”

“I love Lupita's! It's within walking distance to our house, and is a life saver if you need ingredients in a pinch. Pricing is totally fair (sometimes cheaper than major chain grocery stores). My husband and I are all about supporting our neighborhood businesses, and Lupita's is at the top of our list!”

“Love this place! Atmosphere, food and drinks are amazing!? The only thing that kills it for me is the inexperience and dry personalities of the bartenders...... They are not attentive and very rude. Seems like they try to avoid you. That can be overlooked tho. The rest of the experience makes up for it. 5 starz!”

“Delicious! Was so glad I stopped in Colonia at THIS store Garcia to buy FRESH beef. This store had ample parking, a friendly manager and butcher, with so much selection that it was hard to choose. The steak I ended up choosing was perfect for grilling during July 4th. 2 inches thick- SO JUICY- and plenty for everyone- so tasty- very well priced. I will definitely be back to get pork or other things because they had a large store. Thank you for making my party successful!”

“Great place to get loaded no issues finished in an hour make sure to bring an empty scale tix before arriving and they'll send you to the local t/s to get a loaded once complete but other than that no problems...I was one of the last to get loaded so was able to park for the night and if you get here after 1600??...you can only blame yourself...will gladly come again”

“I was looking for Alibrije from Oaxaca so I stopped in here to see if they might have something. The woman behind the counter let me know they did not. Glanced around quickly - this looks like a typical small grocery but with added kitchenwares. Mostly utilitarian goods, but everything looked clean and attractive.”

“I could have given you a 5 star but due to parking issues I'll give you 4 star. It's difficult to get water on this location 1355 W. Gonzales Rd. because people parked their car her permanently.”

“This store has been a fixture in this neighborhood for 20 years. Called La Barata, I found this Neutrogena shampoo that I had been looking for since 2014. The guy had 6 bottles. What luck! Anyway, ever since we lost Oxnard Craft and some of our other stores, I am glad to have found a great treasure here. I bought a sunbrella for a friend- she just loves it because it opens to a sunflower. This little store has a huge selection of cool hats, backpacks, gifts, homegoods, and whatnots. Which means YOU have to look yourself. But it will be worth the trip with 2 clothing stores, a Western Wear, and a hidden thrift store next door. Check it out.”
