“I couldn't have imagined a better experience for my beloved Henry. The staff were beyond kind and helpful, and patient and knowledgeable. The facility was comfortable and clean and inviting. They even offered coffee, and sweet waiting rooms. I felt cared for and truly valued as a customer. The surgeon and nurse took over an hour, sitting on the floor explaining the options and different procedures and risks. I never waited more than 10 minutes, and they were beyond accommodating. With all they did to him, he came out looking like he lost a bar fight, and it likely should've cost a mortgage payment, but it was incredibly reasonable. My friend thought it would be double. They were up front about all the costs and explained everything afterwards. I almost want to cry writing this, they took a really scary situation and made me feel so special.. My lil dude too. We will be eternally grateful and loyal to them.. our new fur-ever vet. Thanks Dr. Faro and Amanda and the whole crew!!! xoxo”

“I am sorry you are reading this but that means you are trying to ensure you find the best final goodbye for your pet. I want to share my experience to hopefully help ease any of your nerves. We helped my sweet pup cross the rainbow bridge on December 30, 2023 but haven't had the mindset to fully revisit the final goodbye. I called heart and halos a couple times, the first time to was once we were beginning to consider euthanasia and I just wanted information and linh was very sweet. I called two times during the next few weeks to check on their availability until we were really ready to let go. We wanted to wait until after Christmas to enjoy having our sweet boy with us one last time but wanted a back up plan in case we thought he wouldn't make it. I was informed it was an extra $200 on holidays (not eve) but otherwise same price on weekends. We paid around $600 for my baby boy but they have different prices depending on after care packages and pet weight. Overall, linh had a big impact on us deciding on Heart and halos as she was very patient and compassionate. I had called other euthanasia places and they were rude and just wanted to know if you wanted to book now or would hang up. Your receptionist is a big representative of the company. About 15 minutes before our appointment time, we got a phone call from a private number to let us know their ETA. They arrived right at our appointment time, not a minute late. My judgment about the company was not wrong, Dr Susan was very sweet. Once they got to the house, I asked that her assistant wait outside and to only have Dr. Susan come inside after a few minutes while I settled into position with my baby boy. Dr. Susan went above and beyond to make sure my sweet boy did not see her. I held him on my chest sitting on our living room couch as she snuck in and kneeled behind the couch. With him facing the opposite direction, she administered the first injection. The only thing I wish I could have prepared for was that my baby did feel the first shot and it did sting him once it was administered. Nothing on the doctors practice, she even diluted it and gave me an option on how I would like the first shot, IV, IM or SQ. She recommended SQ for less pain and even advised she dilutes it with normal saline as part of her practice. As I registered nurse I know that this can happen with an injection, I just imagine it feels like getting a vaccine- very minimal pain compared to a natural death. Luckily my baby had been receiving sq fluids at the same site of the first sq injection, so my baby probably just thought I was poking him again for give him fluids. My baby boy was deep asleep within ** minutes and did not feel the second shot given intravenous. My baby boy crossed the rainbow bridge knowing he was loved, laying on my chest in the comfort of his own home. The experience of putting your childhood pet to sleep is something no one can truly prepare you for, I miss him everyday. But I rest in comfort knowing I chose the very best service to put him to rest.”

“I would like to share my incredible experience at Cahuenga Veterinary. It is, by far, the most wonderful hospital I've ever brought my dear dachshund Lucy to. Lucy had to have a radical surgery to remove numerous mammary tumors. I was terrified for her to have this surgery until I met the amazing Dr Pedraza. He is the most kind and compassionate doctor that I've ever encountered, as well as being a master of complex surgeries. I am so grateful that I found him! Dr. Pedraza also finds time in his hectic schedule to take care of homeless animals in need of his brilliant skills. What an awesome human being he is! Delaney, his wonderful nurse, was so reassuring and gentle with my Lucy. She assured me that she would stay by Lucy's side throughout the surgery, and she did! I knew that Lucy was in the best care ever. I only briefly met Dr. Christian, the owner of this wonderful clinic, but he must be an awesome doctor to bring together all of these incredibly skilled and compassionate doctors and nurses. I must also include dear Mystic in reception. Even with the phones ringing constantly, she found time to be warm and gracious to me. I would give 100 5- stars if I could!!”

“10/10 animal hospital in the South Bay. The staff is always so welcoming and kind. I've been taking my dog Miso since we brought her home as a pup and I've had positive experiences every time - checkups, allergies, spaying, vaccines and everything else in between. Misos primary vet is Dr.Higashi who is extremely compassionate and detailed in her exams. You can really feel her passion in providing the best care and Miso is always so exited to see her. I'm grateful to have found a vet and staff I can trust!”

“I've been taking my dog here for over ten years. Now that my dog is almost 12 he needs more support, and the vets here all do a great job at answering questions and providing suggestions for his best care, both during a visit or in between. Thanks Family Pet Clinic for taking such good care of my pup!”

“Thank you to the women of VCA for taking care of my fur baby on such short notice. I called this location, because my regular vet was closed, immediately after my dog got an eye injury during a routine grooming appointment and the staff here was super friendly, attentive, efficient and transparent. They were able to see us immediately and took good care of him.Puffy and I are grateful.”

“Dr. Cassidy took great care of our last dog, who was diabetic. She monitored his progress and responded almost daily to his blood sugar readings which I emailed to her daily. When we got our latest dog, we returned to Dr. Cassidy for the same great care, which she has provided him. We recommend her without reservation and with the highest praise.”

“Beyond great. My vet for decades retired, leaving no one in her place. Tried to find new vet, and was hugely disappointed with other local vet. BUT joy of joys, was referred by friend to Redwood & Dr Suyehara. I cannot express my gratitude for this care and expertise. They are all fabulous --just as my friend predicted and finally I am getting necessary help for my aging dogs. I LOVE this whole practice and am grateful every day to have this guidance to address my dogs' conditions. When your dogs are healthy, anyone can help to verify all is fine. But when they are struggling, getting such terrifically knowledgeable and caring guidance means the world.”

“I can't say enough about the amazing team at BARC. My senior French Bulldog Kirby goes for physical therapy and acupuncture and they have provided top notch care. She recently had an IVDD flare up and bounced right back which I believe is due to the care she has received during preventative PT and accupuncture sessions. It's amazing to see my dog getting bursts of puppy energy due to the program here. Everyone on staff is always so perceptive to the pets' needs as they evolve. The entire team is also simply wonderful, caring, and kind. They have created a very positive environment. Thank you BARC!”

“I took my pug Leah here for vaccines and I paid 60$ for all of them! Super affordable :) VETCO charges 230$ for a full set of vaccines yikes and I work there too . I love how they take care of her . Even though the wait can be long , they got her in and out and she was fine when we got home. If you have brachycephalic breed for a spay be sure to understand there's a possibly of them not making it . My pugs all have been spayed there and one of them almost did not make it . The team did thankfully successfully finished the procedure and she was ok :)”

“My Cocker Spaniel, Goldy, has been under Dr. Pasternak's care for about four years. Last summer, she developed a stubborn ear infection persisting for three months. Despite trying various drops, pills, and ointments with little success, Dr. Pasternak surprised me by prescribing supplements instead of antibiotics. Remarkably, my 12-year-old dog is now as lively as a puppy, her ears have cleared up, cysts around her body have diminished, and her energy is through the roof. Dr. Pasternak's holistic approach, integrating traditional and alternative therapies, impressed me with its comprehensive care. His emphasis on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms reflects a commitment to overall pet well-being. Clear communication and personalized treatment plans further contributed to this positive experience.Thank you Dr.Pasternak and your team!”

“Last week, my sister and I rescued a cat who was severely injured from a dog fight. Took our little guy to the Access Hospital, and left with a big bill and no help. The next day we took him here, and I have no words to describe how caring and wonderful everyone was. From Gabby at the front desk, to the doctor and all of the nurses. They all were very sweet and helpful, went above and beyond to try and save Rayito. Unfortunately, the injuries were too much, and infection had spread. I know for certain, they did all they could... but this little angel needed to cross the rainbow. They gave us pain medicine, so he won't suffer, and we took him home. Crossing the rainbow bridge the following day. I will never forget the kindness they showed us during such a hard time. I have added a picture of Rayito. Took him to see the sunset at the beach the day before the crossed over. Thank you guys.”

“i had my first visit here tonight as a walk-in. reception, the vetrinarian, & vet techs were all very polite, efficient, & helpful.
the exam was quick yet thorough —they even noticed that my dog had an ear infection as well, something that i was unaware of & had been missed during her recent vet visit.
the cost was reasonable for the services provided and there were no added hidden fees like so many other emergency/urgent care vets charge.
+i love that they have late hours available.
highly recommend!”

“Best vet in LA. I don't think he's taking new patients though. Dr Reina is a compassionate vet who truly cares about our furry ones. He's taken wonderful care of my cats, dog and even my pet rat! Who else makes a little oxygen tent for a little rat with upper respiratory infection!! I'll cry when he retires. There can be a long wait if they're crowded, but since Covid you wait in the car & they call you in.”

“We are so grateful for the excellent care we've received from Dr. Blair and the team at T.H.E. Cat Hospital in MDR, it's a whole new experience coming here. They saved our boy, Chewbacca, an adult Maine Coon who was very sick with an intestinal disease for many months. And now are giving great care to an adult Maine Coon mix, a shelter rescue we recently adopted. Their knowledge and capability, combined with the care and compassion, are unbeatable.”

“My mixed breed dog came from the time he was 4 months old until he passed at age 13 1/2 years-old from genetic complications and old age. I owe a great deal of his good health to Centinela Animal Hospital. While I see other people had less ideal experiences, I had the complete opposite and agree with all the positive reviews. I recommend every single pet owner I know to Centinela. I want to share my experience in the hopes of encouraging people to use their veterinary care: When I first adopted my dog, my number one goal was to have his whole health in mind. This hospital was recommended to me by the rescuer who I adopted him from. I was looking for conventional veterinary care in conjunction with holistic care and Dr. Palmquist is a leader in this approach. His book, "Releasing Your Pet's Hidden Health Potential," I found to not only be ahead of its time but also spoke to the kind of relationship I wanted with my dog having come from a childhood of backyard dogs who were barely taken to the vet or fed in an appropriate way. I understand that caring for pets is costly. And many people who adopt are limited in what they can provide for their animals yet still give them loving homes. I was privileged and lucky to be able to approach my dog's health in the way that I did. I also got pet insurance that covered our yearly vet visits and it came in really handy when my dog needed more care. But what was surprising is that many of the tips and advice I got from the doctors at Centinela was practical and incredibly cost effective, preventing me from having more costly care in the long run. As a puppy Dr. Johnson noticed my pup had a genetic heart murmur and she kept an eye on it while encouraging me to be vigilant as well. I followed her advice. Because of it I was able to catch early signs of complications in his last year and a half which allowed Centinela to refer us to another hospital for their cardiology department. They worked side-by-side. They were in constant communication about my dog's heart condition, medications, x-rays and ECGs. As his heart disease progressed, Dr. Palmquist continually encouraged me to trust the advice and treatments from my dog's cardiologist. Dr. Johnson also noticed early signs of spinal issues when he was a pup because of my dog's anatomy. With an X-Ray she could tell his spine was starting to wear down when he was young because he liked to play hard and hike. She warned me about IVDD, prescribing the use of dog ramps while monitoring activity that would lead to slipped discs. During his life, my dog only had two spine flare ups. When he did Dr. Palmquist prescribed pain medication, rest, plus herbs that helped my dog not only bounce back but supported key organs in his recovery. In my dog's last six months, his genetic predispositions and age started to present much bigger issues. Dr. Palmquist prescribed supplements and herbs that supported my dog's brain and specific organs as they started to work harder due to his medications. It kept my dog's energy levels high. By his happiness, playfulness and stamina, no one could tell that my dog was dealing with any health issues -- not even my dog who kept doing every activity he loved within reason. In fact many people would stop us to ask how old he was because he acted more like a puppy. In the last month of his life, my dog's health took sharp turn. It was uncertain whether he could or would recover. It was heart breaking and emotional. Dr. Palmquist was incredibly empathetic. Though he hoped we would still have a few more years, Dr. Palmquist gave me advice that prepared me for the inevitable while also telling me to enjoy every day my dog and I had left together. And we did. When my dog passed, the doctors sent me sympathy cards. In all the years that we were here, Dr. Palmquist, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Orme each examined my sweet boy and gave him the best quality of care. The whole staff -- front desk assistants, vet techs and vet assistants -- every person was compassionate, helpful and car”

“We just took our two captured cats in for their first check up, chips, and vaccines, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff was great, they were good with our cats, and the whole experience was just a lot less painful than it could’ve been. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Had a nice visit with Dr. Jordan today. My dog is a bit anxious but I was allowed to hold her the whole time so that was helpful for us both. They also told me the cost upfront so I didn't feel duped by any surprise fees.”

“We came in for a second opinion and the dx was vastly different from the first vet. The first vet said that my cat needed flea medicine, dental scaling/extraction, X-ray, bloodwork, etc... over $1800. How do these shady vets sleep at night? CPAH vet examined her and gave his professional advice. He said her teeth were good and didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary x-rays and dental cleaning. They also accept CareCredit which is great! CPAH staff are so friendly and helpful. They even made her a pet ID card!”

“Amazing Service!! My dog is a very scared baby when he sees any vet. He's the dog known everywhere to snap at people lol. He went in to the exam shaking and came out calm. That's when I knew Dr Tsugawa was great energy :) I warned Dr Tsugawa's staff prior to him going in for the exam, that my dog may not let him look in his mouth but Dr Tsugawa was the only person my dog has ever willingly let look. My dog had dental surgery today. I dropped him off at 10am. Around lunch I received texts from Dr Tsugawa of the the X-rays and his thoughts. He phoned soon after to clarify and see if I had any questions. We went ahead with the procedure. I received a text as soon as my dog was awake and normal around 12.30pm. At 2pm I picked him up. He was alert but a little unwell, as expected. Dr Tsugawa came out to speak to me, his staff clearly and slowly explained the medication to me and I was good to go home. I liked that Dr Tsugawa only wanted my dog on one medication for a few days for the pain/swelling rather than having a bunch of medications, which other vets always seem to prescribe after surgeries. The entire process start to finish was so smooth, clearly communicated and my dog is now at home resting and on the mend. Even at home I texted Dr Tsugawa a few questions and he responded promptly. I want to thank Dr Tsugawa and his team for the great service. I have already recommended you to friends.”
