“Lees"s Pet shop is least expensive shop in my area of West Covina/ la puente and I drive all the way there, so I'm okay with his shop and tanks are not that dirty. Maybe competition posting comments or haters being salty.”

“I found Bellflower Birds by luck, i was looking for a place that sold bird food by bulk (couldn't find any business's locally) & this place had what i was looking for.
Oscar, the owner was very pleasant, helpful, knowledgable, & also assisted me quickly & very efficiently with trimming my parakeet's beak it was so curved in but thank goodness Oscar gave me hope & expressed her beak was fixable which was a huge relief, Oscar was very gentle & demonstrated care, he used a sterile technique which was amazing!!!
He has a variety of beautiful birds to purchase.
I will definitely return to stock up on bird feed, & any birds necessities.

“Another thanks to Yelp! I found this place.. We found baby chicks that we wanted- They have all the things we need to start up- like beginner poultry kit and feeds for our new chicks! Kit - $45 chicks - $10 each 8lb crumbles - $11 (food) not bad at all! They accept cards, Apple pay is what I used. Parking spots available and nice helpful staff! I recommen! thumbs up!”

“I order 6 cakes here every year, one for each of my dogs birthdays and they have always delivered consistent cakes! My dogs love the cakes here and they have also tried their cookies and treats that are offered in the cases. The bakery also carries a small assortment of dog food, packaged treats, raw chews and dried chews, and many birthday accessories. There are many things here that are size appropriate for any breed of dog. I've gotten many little treats here for my dogs that range from 3 lbs - 16 lbs but I've seen people come in with their large breeds and leave with something for them.”
“They have a brand of freeze dried salmon snacks that my cats absolutely lose their little cats minds for. I really appreciate the expanded selection of Weruva that I can't get at PetSmart. Also, a great selection of cat toys with leather/fur (the good stuff!)”
“I work next door to Top Dog. They are getting ready to expand to the suite next to the current location and the construction was a bit noisy. I went over to ask if there was anything we can do about the noise and they immediately prioritized the request. It’s not to often that you find businesses that cater to their neighbors like that! “This place is great. Customer service is good. But the reason I gave it a 4 stars is because of the first time I went to this location the service started off great. I had brought my husky to a new pet store and he’s a shy husky. He had a few oopsies around the store. Some older lady that works there started to give me dirty looks after the one oopsie. The second time my doggie went again, she gave me her 2 cents about how my dog is not neutered and males leave their marks in places they smell females. ?yea I got a bit bothered and I just let it go. I walked it off around the store looking for more product for my floof. When I finally got what I came to get from the store. I had purchased a bag of Nulo kibble ( fyi that food is amazing I recommend to any one who has picky eater) by that time I had asked the cashier if her cans were still in sale? She said yes of course. I asked if I could leave and go pick up some cans? She said of course. I asked to leave my purchased bag at the register? She happened to ask the same old lady that was giving me dirty looks. ?. By then there was a few more people in line… and she puts me on blast in front of everyone. She tells the cashier “you can go get her the cans she wants because her dog is peeing everywhere”. I got really upset. And atomic bomb went off inside of me?. I kept composure. The cashier had tried to convince me to go and get the cans. I felt hurt and insulted, I told the cashier thanks but I don’t think I want them, I’ll just go else where because this woman has a problem with my dog. I was not about to start making a scene with this woman about her nasty comments. I contemplated on returning because I didn’t want to see her ever again. But since my floof is a picky eater and I’ve been searching everywhere heaven and earth looking and buying bags left and right that he just doesn’t want. I swallowed my pride and just went back 3 weeks later. Hoping I wouldn’t see that woman again. The second time I went back a kind man who worked there offered to help, I asked if I could talk to management about that woman’s nasty customer service. He helped me out and convinced me to come back again. And I do go back, I just have to watch out for that woman, and I don’t bring my floof there again sadly. And he likes pet stores once he gets used to them and sees other pups there. I have worked retail most of my life and I’ve never been this nasty to anyone. Let alone being put on the spot simply because my dog had an oopsie.”

“Nice little Mom and Pop pet store hidden in a commercial area. It is at the far left when you enter the front of the little square. Lots of birds like finches, parakeets, cockatiels, doves, and small animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, mice. Also has koi and many other kinds of fish. Has pet food in bulk. Good low prices on bird/small animal cages and animals! I read some of the reviews on here and some of them are really too much and lack perspective. These little neighborhood pet shops are just holding on. If you wanted a place that is crazy clean and large, (and Expensive!), with people that really don't care much about animals--go to big brands Petco or Petsmart. They are freakin' everywhere. They are also one of the reasons why *almost all* of the local small family pet stores have been pushed out and gone now. Shop local and support your community! Everyone is just trying to hold on in this economy. It makes shopping for things so much more fun and with much cheaper prices!”
