“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Gary for helping me as much as he could during a difficult time with my Prius. Gary is very professional, kind, and an extremely hard worker. I agree with all the positive reviews of him here. He received my car being towed, kept it at his shop for days trying to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. Priuses have so many codes and diagnosing them can be taxing, but Gary stuck with it. Gary is A+++ in my book. Also, he keeps his shop super clean out of respect for his customers. We talked a bit about work ethic and he really is top notch. Thanks for everything, Gary!”

“The end of an era!! Chris retired yesterday! New owner took over the shop, and it's still called Sierra Madre Honda. The new owner is the guy who runs the mechanic shops next door. Don't know anything about him. I loved Chris because all he did was Hondas, and his work was phenomenal! Thank you Chris for all the years of taking care of our cars. You will be missed. And enjoy your retirement!!!!”

“I've been to Moe's a couple of times recently for maintenance and repairs and have always been very happy with the quality and speed of their work and the prices. But William went above and beyond for my family last week. We were leaving for a family trip right after work on Friday, and my daughter woke up to find her car battery dead. I was worried about how I'd get it jumped and working to make it to work on time and still make it to our trip. I called William in a panic, and he came right over to my house, jumped the car, brought it to Moe's, replaced the battery, and had us out the door by 3pm to save our trip. William's personal care to customers is so much appreciated in our community. I highly recommend Moe's!”

“The first vehicle I brought to S&J was an old Aerostar. It'd overheat; Csaba sniffed the antifreeze and diagnosed it in seconds: a clogged radiator. (My fault; I used outdated anti-freeze.) That was in 1998 when he had a shop in Altadena. I've brought him every car and van ever since. Csaba (pronounced cha-bah) is a hard to find, old-school mechanic -- solid, trustworthy, and he knows what he's doing. He's been polite (to me and my wife, and those I've referred) and patient through my never-ending dumb questions, all without rolling his eyes. He's come through on every of our Prius ans Subaru repairs and regular service -- brakes, oil changes, shocks, fan clutch, radiator flush (it's endless) -- as well keeping our ancient 24 year-old, hard-to-fix Dodge camper-van RV on the road. Fast forward to July 2023: While traveling to the Dakotas, the RV's water pump was replaced. On the drive home, there was anti-freeze on the ground. An out of state mechanic said maybe a head gasket, freeze plug, or worse, a cracked engine block. Back home, Csaba fixed it in a day with something simple -- a new hose. I've been coming back to Csaba all these years -- and keep going back -- because he knows how to diagnose a problem quickly, has been fair in his pricing (no shop fees!) and honest (he's straightforward and tells me what I don't need). It's almost as good as having a mechanic in the family.”
