“I was a guest there for a drop-in or a one-off training session. The pleasant atmosphere, the great welcome, the nice people and the warmth of the owner were really great.

Facilities great, training great, nothing to complain about.

Thank you very much ??”

“Paradigm is the best gym in town - and maybe ever?! I am a lifelong yogi that recently decided it was time to build some strength. My partner and I joined Paradigm last September with their awesome intro deal, and we couldn't help but be instantly hooked. The classes are so fun, the space is beautiful, and every single trainer is amazing. I have definitely become much more confident in the gym and feel myself slowly but surely having muscle tone for the first time in my life! We love the sense of community we've found at Paradigm, and will continue to be a part of small group training for the long term!”

“Hit up Seabright CrossFit for the first Open Workout 24.1 and it was a blast. The vibe was electric with a live DJ pumping up the energy!! The community is absolutely top-tier. From beginner Athletens to RX and Pros. Felt like I'd been part of their crew forever. After the sweat session, they invited me for drinks and pizza, which was super great end to the evening. 10/10!”

“I love GOAT Santa Cruz. A huge variation of workouts, from truly challenging stuff, all the way to silver sneakers classes. I take the silver sneakers cuz I have a back injury. Someday I hope to add a few more classes. Excellent staff, friendly and really knowledgeable.”

“The TXT (Toadal Cross Training) program is excellent! It's an extra cost but well worth it. Classes are open to TXT members at all Toadal Fitness locations. The programming is well thought out to safely and effectively work all muscles. It's a small group format so the trainers can show you the moves and provide helpful advice to get the most out of your workouts. Everyone is so supportive and I've never felt out of place even though as a "senior" I hardly fit the demographic. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome. The class format includes a warm up focusing on the muscle group that is worked in the "strength" section to follow. There's a big range of kettlebell weights available. Then there is a workout of the day with a variety of toys such as well balls, slam balls, jump ropes, TRX straps, rowers, etc. They keep it fresh so it's never boring. Additionally, there's monthly challenges to strengthen muscle groups such as abs, arms, glutes, etc. You can try it for free for a week to see it it's right for you and then it's just a month to month commitment with the option to pause if you know work, vacations, or a busy schedule is going to interfere with your routine.”

“Inclusive. Supportive. Fun!! The coaches, comradery, and atmosphere are extraordinary. I've never felt more comfortable in a gym environment than I do at Curves Santa Cruz. The coaches' support is above and beyond. I feel like they are invested in me and my pursuit to be more healthy. If I could give them 1,000 stars, it still wouldn't be enough!!!”

“If you’re searching for your new gym — this is IT. Was here from out of town for a few days looking for a smaller gym to pop into to get my workout(s) done — I typically strength train independently, but was trying to avoid the larger companies i.e. 24hr fitness, OTF etc. I prefer more intimate fitness communities. Called and spoke with Pascual, extremely helpful and friendly from the start. We discussed my fitness level and he gave me a few options for his smaller training classes the next day. The members of the gym were some of the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve encountered. All ages and fitness levels. Awesome variety of workout equipment clearly very well taken care of. We did rotating circuits, but there was plenty of equipment for everyone to snag their appropriate weight. I felt challenged throughout the entire workout, but not in a way that was compromising my form. I also appreciated that he stuck to the larger, more compound movements. I feel a lot of high intensity strength training classes frequently focus on endurance over quality of movement — not at Torkc. Following the class Pascual followed up to ensure I had a great workout and proceeded to offer workout options for the following day; the option to train independently using my own program or one created by himself. I’ll reiterate, this gym is one of the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve encountered, with awesome equipment on top of that. Pascual clearly cares about all of his clients and wants them to achieve their goals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your athleticism to the next level Torkc and Pascual are your answer! Thank you for having me!”

“A pretty nice thrift store ! Found what I needed quickly. They have a 50% off sale every 2nd Saturday ! Good stuff. Reasonable prices on most stuff. Fairly good quality items. They also have a return policy for store credit if your item doesn't work or has a problem. Great ! A great resource for the Santa Cruz area. When I need something, I always check Gray Bears first !”

“? DOES have WI-FI ! ?
? DOES have Hoist Roc-It machines ?

Rebranded as a "Super Sport", so now long term members who joined at the club's top level tired so as to have access to EVERY club, INCLUDING THIS CLUB, and had access to this club FOR YEARS!...Now are REFUSED Entry to this club. It that SHOULD be grandfather caused into those memberships!! Taking away access to clubs that people paid for, supporting their corp for years, should not then randomly have that access removed without cause!!

? Older equipment ?
It does have MOST amenities a Super Sport was designed to have, But NOT all.

Members, against TOS, try to hold several machines at once, keeping other members from using any of them. They use tactics like leaving gym bags or water bottles, phones, or clothing to "mark territory".

Staff does not enforce their NO WORKOUT BAGS on the gym floor" policy, exasperating the other unenforced issue mentioned above.

Pale also "sit" on escarpment, partying in their phones, even 10-15 min, not using the machine, preventing others from using it.

It's crowded enough that it should return to being open 24/7, as it had been for years.

?? Sauna is UNCOMFORTABLE for Women to use, EVER.
Old Gross men ALWAYS hijacking it. 24/7. Also right next to window in hallway.
And dirty.
??

Actually a very old, "standard" 24 Hour Fitness, re-branded as a Super Sport, so that fewer members can use it.

? NO TOWEL SERVICE ?”
