“I went to the Chapala Market to get masa, salsa and corn husks for Christmas elk tamales. I asked a worker stocking shelves where I could find these items and he dropped what he was doing and walked me around the store. I joked that he was my personal shopper. He was genuinely interested in what I was making and made sure I knew to soak the husks. The check out lady also asked what I was making and was super nice. Explaining elk and how I got it was a funny conversation but their masa and salsa will make my elk tamales taste great!Excellent service with great personality and made in-house masa and salsa! “Great little market that carry all camping items you need but forgot at home. Price are reasonable. There was never a time we visited the store and did not find what we need for the weekend trip.Store is run by outside vendor, Rocky Mountain Recreation Company. Nearest full service supermarket is 20 miles away in Buellton. Not worth 2 hours of vacation time.Kids enjoy biking to the store by them selves buy ice cream/soda. Few time you will safe letting go to convenience store by themselves.”
