“I love this Vons turned into a Pavillion! The deli and bakery selection turned from average to choice. It's worth a stop to check out the selections. They have their brand up to top notch. Some people may think they are pricey but there are added discounts. Join the app and you get extra savings. You can get gas discounts and sometimes free items. Today I got 4 12 oz. cheese blocks for .90 cents each!”

“Charming and well equipped boutique, small town, gourmet grocery, prepared foods, coffee bar, pastry, deli and bakery source with adjacent outdoor eating patio complete with fountain. Easy parking and access from main roads. Located in central strip mall with more boutique retail for after meal stroll. We made time for sandwiches (fabulous but spendy) but lamented not being able to bring more prepared goods with us on the long drive home. (Everything looked wonderful and locals swarmed.) Recommend a pop-in.”

“I was able to find smoked turkey leg which I use to make Hoppin' John. Also I found two other items which I have not been able to find in other stores: farmer's cheese and the Danish peppermint candies in the Jelly Belly bulk section. Thank you, Gelson's!”

“I feel like I’m not part of the cool crowd at this store. The kimbop (are whatever it is) is always out. I want some. Also, everyone is a self proclaimed vegan zen master of peace until they get to the parking lot then it’s gloves off, fight for your life, try not to get run over. Yesterday, I was in the store and it was super busy and they had some kid dusting the lights … dust falling down on everyone and into the air - as a person with allergies and lung issues I was disgruntled hence this review. I am not a vegan zen master and enjoy letting it out once in a while. Perhaps, limit the kimbop to one a person or here is an idea, order more and tell corporate to start having the kids in Thailand produce more, since that is where most of your food comes from these days. Why do I get so judged when I forget my bag, but nobody stops to read the labels on their food from TJ’s. TJs food notoriously travels many miles and often many continents. Like a brown paper bag is going to do more harm then the bunker fuel used to ship the cheap food over. Or the major amount of plastic used in packaging. Get a grip. But props to Charles Shaw. Ok, I’m headed that way now, the apple cinnamon Mochi better not be out too. And why does this store not carry more of the gluten free muffins my sister gets in San Diego? Are we not as good as them? And don’t worry I’m bringing my bag.”

“Tru county is great locally owned produce store. The staff is super nice. The store has fresh produce and groceries. Everything is well stocked and there is a discount section in the back. They have a wide variety of juices, breads, frozen goods, and other groceries available from local farms around Santa Barbara The parking is easy as they have their own parking lot.”

“Fantastic spot for local and organic produce (as available). Good selection of fresh fruits & veggies as well as locally sourced honey, bread and other sundry foodstuffs. Prices are a little higher but you're paying for better quality produce than you might typically find at the grocery store.”

“The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that I’m not usually impressed with the produce. It’s not bad or anything, it just doesn’t seem as fresh as I prefer my produce to be. It can be hard to preplan your trip because they don’t carry certain items consistently. That’s just the nature of the store and probably why it’s so much cheaper than the other grocery stores! However, I always go when I have extra time to browse because I love finding new items that you’d not really think about. They always have outstanding deals on seasonal items which is my favorite part! I buy my hair products here because I need high end products that are usually way to expensive for me to buy and extremely frustrating. They have a very large selection of really good quality hair products that keeps me happy every trip I make to this store! The employees are unusually friendly which I find is so rare now days! Please please keep the nice employees around! I can’t take many more rude encounters I endure at the other stores I’m forced to visit. Parking is plentiful, hours of operation are good (except if you say you close at 10 I expect to be let in even at 9:55 to grab something I may really need. It’s happened several times I show up with 15 - 20 minutes before 10 and the door is locked. Close when you want just stay true to your posted hours so I don’t waste my time. Very much appreciated!). Definitely worth coming to shop at this store!!”

“We were on vacation in Santa Barbara, and a friend asked us if we could bring some beer when we came over to visit. This little neighborhood market has a huge selection of all kinds of beer. And a good wine selection and a pretty good selection of spirits. It was also very clean and had friendly service.”

“I love that we have this deli in Santa Barbara. Love being able to get some good quality grechka! The buckwheat “roasted” groats in Lazy Acres doesn’t compare. And they even have kievskiy tort! My favorite ?”

“Santa Cruz Market has everything for typical Mexican cooking. Fresh vegetables and herbs for salsa. The prepared meats are great for tacos. Friendly employees, very kind cashiers, and macho butchers speaking Spanish. No dedicated bike parking, but one can easily find a spot to lock up. This place is densely packed and hard to move around in when customers are shopping so don't come here if you're in a hurry. Despite it's shortcomings with space, this is the one stop shop for ingredients to cook up a Mexican meal. Santa Cruz Market is highly recommended.”

“The PL Santa Rosa Chicken sandwich and the Smoked Salmon Bagel were fantastic. We got them to-go and ate them at a table in the wonderful park across the parking lot.”

“New favorite spot for me and the bf!!! While it's off a busy intersection, the interior & exterior is decorated so beautifully you wouldn't ever notice where you are. Serene & peaceful inside & out. Water feature and fairy-like setting on the patio. & the best part: the service! So friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Loved every recommendation so far. Will keep coming back”

“This is probably my favorite place to get ice cream in Santa Barbara, they have handmade bars for a very reasonable price, but I prefer to get it scooped into a cup, which is a little bit more, but soooo worth it.”

“Santa Barbara's best south asian grocery store. The friendly family who owns the store stocks everything you need to make your favorite Indian recipe. If you can't find it here, they'll order it for you. Must see this small long-time neighborhood store.”

“I Love Foodland Market' although it is a smaller sized store, it is Huge in Quality Meats, Produce, and Awesome Staff. ?? *I think most people Assume this Market is for Hispanic Speaking Customers. However, I do not speak hardly any Spanish and have No problems Communicating when asking questions or anything else. Very Kind Employees ? Clean Store ? Great Variety!”

“Decent food. We've had Reyes, Delgado, and so far this was the best. I got a carne asada burrito. It was good. A large burrito with medium amount of meat. The steak had been pre cooked but still had its charbroiled flavor. The rice and beans were good. Also got al pastor tacos. The Al pastor lacked flavor. There was enough meat to make four tacos. Wife hade the chili relleno plate. She said it was good, the sauce was on the spicy side.. that was a pluse. It was microwaved. We were eating later so no biggie. Over all the food was decent for a market. Bill cane out to about $50 not to bad. We will keep trying different Mexican spots in carpenteria until we find the to go to spot. We would go back.”

“Fathi is awesome. Genuinely, it's been a pleasure to have met and built a relationship with him. Great conversations and stories can be had there, along with a wide variety of your "grab and go" convenience needs on the Westside of Santa Barbara. The early bird DOES NOT catch the written here though!”

“Awesome Hidden Gem in Santa Barbara! This is a must visit to get some of the amazing food they cook here! It's also open later than most places in downtown Santa Barbara! And you can get almost any drink you want on your way out! Totally recommended!”
