“Don't expect anything fancy for a Motel 6. It was however, much nicer than most motels I have visited and the front desk lady (I think her name was Carolann) was very helpful and kind. Good location

Bed was a little dirty but sheets and room were clean at least.”

“Paulina is great! Let her know that it was my daughter and grandson's birthday. She was very acomodating and made us all feel special.

Unfortunately with a security hold of $250 I am unable to return. Most holds for the area are $0-100.

Rooms: Wonderful! Great beds and amenities.

Nearby activities: Disney about 10 miles out
Saw a Chukee Cheese with a mile or 2

Safety: Very safe

Noteworthy details: Security deposit is $250. There are much cheaper $0-$100 dollar options.”

“Rooms were recently fully remodeled and are quite clean, with new refrigerator, TV, & AC+USB outlets. A free microwave is in ice/vending/laundry room. Lacking quarters for laundry, a laudrymat across the street supplied that lack & cheaper service. No problems with Wifi. Decent restaurants are nearby.”

“In the summer my child was taking a class In Front of Camera and she loves it. In the future she'll take other classes when she can arrange her time. The teacher is so professional. The staff there are so nice and helpful. I highly recommend to everyone!”

“Came to OC and stumbled into this neat little dive bar. It's a little hidden in a one way street so we got a bit confused with maps, but luckily there was a neon sign and the parking lot was a dead giveaway as well. It is cash only so we only stayed for 1 hour of pool for $5. Drinks are reasonably priced as well and the staff is incredibly nice and attentive. There wasn't anyone else playing but given it was a weekday it made sense. Overall I'll come back to this place with extra cash in hand when im in the OC again.”

“We stayed at Sonesta Simply Suites Orange County Airport for five nights during our trip to LA. In hindsight, I wish we’d researched the location a bit more, as it was quite a distance from LA Union Station and North Hollywood. For future trips, we’d probably book something closer to LAX or central LA for easier access.

That said, the experience at the hotel itself was lovely. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cheerful and helpful front desk clerk who had previously lived in Canada, which made for a nice connection! Check-in was hassle-free, with our reservation ready, and the front desk area was clean, organized, and had an artistic touch by the sitting area, adding a welcoming feel.

Our room was spacious and comfortable—possibly because we had an accessible room, but regardless, it offered plenty of space. The room was clean and equipped with a full-sized fridge with an ice maker and a medium-sized kitchenette with basic appliances, which allowed us to prepare a few homemade meals during our stay. This feature was a big plus, adding to the comfort and convenience of our stay.

The location of the hotel is close to a strip mall and a Walmart, making it easy to pick up any essentials. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with an Orange County bus that took us directly to the Santa Ana Metrolink Station. From there, we could take the Metrolink train to Union Station, which worked well for our trips around LA.

Overall, we’re happy with our stay at Sonesta Simply Suites. Despite the distance from LA’s main attractions, the amenities and service made our visit comfortable and enjoyable. If we have a reason to be in this area again, we’d definitely consider staying here.

######### - I noticed that your responses to reviews are somewhat generic, with auto-replies for both positive and negative feedback. Just a thought—personalized responses would go a long way in making guests feel appreciated and valued. When we take the time to share our experiences, whether positive or constructive, it’s reassuring to know our feedback is genuinely heard. Personalized replies can create a stronger connection with your guests and show that you care about every experience.

******* Ironically, within minutes of my review, (Nov 12th, 2024 at 1.24pm PST) I received the same standard reply I’d mentioned, which felt like my feedback wasn't actually read.”

“I love this little hotel. I came here last month for my birthday. MUST stay in the Jacuzzi room. It is set up so nice. Jacuzzi is so nice. right next to the bed. BIG TV right in front of the bed. great bathroom tub and shower with tons of counter space for your make up and hair appliances. If I could suggest something. Brighter lights around the mirror. I came back about a month later and was able to inter act with the front desk staff and housekeeping staff. What great people oriented people. They seem to have covered all bases. If I needed anything it seemed the world stopped just for me until what ever i needed was taken care of. I have told my employer about this place their pricing and service I feel no other hotel around can match this little gem I found.Rooms: The best room ever. please read above. bed, jacuzzi, bathroom, sitting area were simply perfect.Safety: I have not seen or heard anything around here. I know they have staff in the front office 24/7 and cameras everywhere. I was good.Walkability: everything I needed I could walk to in 10 minutes. food, stores...ectFood & drinks: OMG the best Mexican taco joint right next door. all your fast food and little mom and pop places within walking distanceNoteworthy details: The entire staff is here to be of service to you 100%”

“We stayed here for 5 nights over the July 4th weekend and it was a better experience than I expected. Now that I am older, I strongly prefer friendly customer service experience over the amenities at the hotel. Front desk and cafeteria staff are friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and the kids had so much fun swimming in it. The free continental breakfast and free parking are a plus for sure!

One little annoyance was that as I walked past the pool area, I saw the laundry room and a cleaning lady. I asked for extra towels for later and she made it difficult for me and kept asking me questions. Maybe I shouldn't have done that and just call the front desk for the towels next time.

But overall, it was a great stay and I may just rebook this hotel the next time I'm in town.”

“Tastefully updated classic hotel with super friendly staff members and a beautiful pool. Please clean up your smoking area. Thanks for having one! Go to Costa Mesa HEI express to see one of the best smoking accommodations I’ve seen—CLEAN, with proper trash and butt urns. Thanks for not being delusional like HE Torrance gateway where there is no accommodation at all.”

“The weekend before, we had a bad experience at a different chain hotel in a different state that left us wondering how they were still in business. The Hampton Inn more than made up for it with great service & a great continental breakfast, which we don't usually partake in as it's always mediocre. We had it both mornings we were there, so that should say something! Lol!”
