“I was looking for a new mechanic since Jim's Automotive in Hayward retired after the pandemic, he was the best! If I can't fix it myself I take our 2004 Scion xB to a shop. It wasn't starting and the battery was 4 years old so I replaced it and it started right up! 3 starts later it wouldn't start again. So I figured starter or alternator? Looked them both up and not owning a belt tensioner for an alternator job I searched for a new mechanic. Found J&J online and gave them a call. After chatting with Javier I called AAA to get it towed there. Javier was professional and upfront. It was the starter and it was replaced and ready the next morning. Thanks J&J!”

They travel to you within a certain mileage range and provide an arrival window that they stick to. “This mechanic and his team are phenomenal. He saved me thousands of dollars by giving me such great used car pre-purchase advice. When I called to get a quote for a pre-purchase inspection, he first spent a significant amount of his time giving me advice on items I can check myself even prior to bringing the car in to him for an official inspection. When I brought the car in for inspection, he worked efficiently and clearly laid out items I need to get the dealer to repair before purchase. He also advised me on how to make sure the dealer does a thorough repair (no cut corners) and he also advised me to get documentation stating that the repairs have been completed as discussed. He told me exactly what the documents should say to ensure that I’m buying a safe vehicle.The dealers (a nearby Audi dealership) refused to provide me the documentation regarding the repairs so I got the deal canceled.Thank goodness for this S&K team! They prevented me from losing thousands of dollars on an unsafe used car purchase. I am so grateful for their guidance during this process! “Had a nail in tire this morning and the stupid new vehicles don’t have a spare and only a repair kit which at least barely got me to the shop.Luckily they weren’t far. First time here but would definitely come back if I had to and highly recommend them.Spoke with Chuy and Felipe. Felipe helped me replace the bad tire extremely quickly and gave me a good deal on the price.Good shop with good people. They aren’t pushy and don’t try to oversell like some shops. “Services requested: oil change full synthetic ow-20 2012 scion tc and tire alignment after buying four new tiresQuality: two younger Hispanic males worked on my car and had the equipment, I watched the work get done not sure what I'm looking for but they seemed to do a good job I guess I'll see this week when I drive the vehicleValue: I was quoted $120 for an alignment and $65 for 4 cylinder full synthetic oil change. Convenient: I called at 12pm and they had time to do both the oil change and the alignment. Overall easy good pleasant experience I would recommend them to other yelpers. Professional reliable and hard working I am new to the area so looking for a mechanic and think this will be my spot. I like to get a good value price wise but I also like quality work this place checked both boxes for me. When I pulled in they were working on a Tesla so they do all types of cars for service. “I needed a smog and it previously failed elsewhere in Alameda. The guy charged me even though it failed, which I guess I understood. I was told to drive my car a couple more miles then come back, which he would have to charge me again. I decided not to come back and found KS automotive on Yelp. I did my smog test again, yet it failed. This guy told me the same thing which is to drive my car more than come back. I expected to pay but he didn't charge me!! He said he will charge when I come back. So I definitely came back after and passed my smog! Great customer service. I also got my oil change there too. Service is quick, workers are thorough and explained everything.”
