“About a month go, my tire light came on and didn't feel comfortable driving all the way home from work so I stopped by here to have it checked. turns out, near the valve of the tire was damaged. So had them replace it. 15 mins later and $35 I was on my way. I noticed they did other services besides tires and made mental note.So, now it's been a minute (ok, about a year) since I had my old changed. Light never came on, but then my commute is 8 minutes and not 25 miles which could sometimes take me an 1.5 when I lived down south. I also had a great mechanic in LB so was hesitant and I sure as hell wasn't going to pay dealership service charges and then tell me I needed something "extra". Got off work early and called to see if they had availability for that day. Yes they did. 5 mins later, I was here (conveniently located near my job) no frills, no upcharge and 30 min later, and 79.00 voila, synthetic oil change and good to go for another 6 months. Friendly, better bureau registered and registered with State of CA. Legit service. Cash or Debit card only. Says it on the wall, I'm saying it in the review so no excuse to say ya didnt know.”

“Highly recommend! Legit work at a fair price.These guys are fantastic. Not the prettiest place to look at but I'm not trying to get my tires replaced in Apple Store.Came in with a flat on my Mini Countryman, bossman pointed out that the passenger front tire was also in bad shape so I replaced both.Tires weren't on site but he said they could be there by 3. I got a call at 315 saying my car was ready. I didn't even ask the price but it was much lower than I had expected. Tires aren't cheap!”

I told Brian about my issues and concerns regarding my 2009 Subaru possible leaking issues, and he said bring it on in and I'll check it out.He ran a free check on under the hood and pointed out some issues and possible points that could be resulting in the areas of concern, told me how to best monitor the situation, and gave me some other things to look out for without even asking for a dime. He was thorough, answered all my questions thoughtfully, and patient despite having 3 other things going on at the same time. My car broke down outside their shop, and not only did they push it down the block, into their garage, and diagnose it (engine failure) they were SO kind and accommodating while I tried to get it sold and/or towed. They were incredibly patient with me while I worked out what to do and even helped me get everything done to get the car signed over to the new buyer even though they knew they were only collecting the diagnostic fee from me. I'm beyond impressed and will definitely return!”

“Went to MJ Automative because I had car trouble and my friend highly recommended the brothers, Mario and Juan. They were friendly, accommodating, and patient with me for somebody who knows nothing about cars. Plus the price was great. They are honest and did not up sell me for anything. When I thought I needed a transmission fluid change and spark plug changes, (bc online suggested it), they told me they checked and it wasn't necessary. My car is running smoother after my oil change visit. I also got a quote from Oil Changers, Alameda and they charge 35% more for the same service. The brothers went above and beyond. They also fixed a minor dent for me when I asked for a quote on it, and Mario fixed it really quick in less than 5 minutes included with the cost of my visit; which my previous mechanic charged $200 extra for...(if you must know, it was the same place I dented twice. ) I am extremely happy with the service here. Thank you Mario and Juan! I will be back!”

“I don't know where to begin but the mechanic( Mr. Shin?) was amazing.When you walk in to mechanic shop, you will always hear, "we will order parts and.." insteadMr.Shin heard my situation and looked into my car,He made parts with existing wires( cutting and bit of welding) and fixed all my chewed up wires in my engine. He only charged $150.00I went to honda dealership and was estimated $2700.00 and it was done within 80 minutes.This was my very first time that I was truly thankful to a mechanic.”

“I took my car to Honda Oakland and without even doing a brake inspection, the service advisor told me I should replace the brake pads because they were at 5mm and 3mm 14,000 miles prior and probably needed to be replaced at a cost of $1100. I declined and looked up the yelp reviews for XYZ since it was close by. The reviews are PHENOMENAL! I called and Huey was able to get me in right away and quoted me a price $700 LESS than Honda quoted. I dropped my car off and a few minutes later Huey called to let me know "your brakes have plenty of life left"! Huey and XYZ will be my new go to for all of my Honda service and repairs! Thank you Huey for your honesty and not trying to take advantage of a woman.”
