“This location is absolutely the best gym I’ve been to period. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The gym is always clean! You will always see an anytime employee dusting and cleaning the machines and restrooms. It has everything you need for a workout. If it wasn’t for my apartment complex having a gym, I would have definitely kept my membership. Overall I’m going to miss this gym and I recommend it to anyone who’s shopping around.”

“This is a long awaited and well deserved review. I first met Neal in 2016 while I was working through an injury. At that time, I had been training at another CrossFit and was taking time off to recover from the injury. Neal only had a brief discussion with me at the time on how to prevent this injury in the future. This feedback was quite impressionable that I held onto it for 8 years, until I decided it was time to return to CrossFit this year. Neal, Tracy, Ulysses and Dave have been phenomenal with their coaching. They offer a training and nutrition program that delivers results effectively. If you are seeking to improve your health, athletic performance, etcetera. As long as you know your why, listen and put your best effort in the results will follow. If you are having any reservations about your own journey, listen to the voice inside of you, and give the coaches here an opportunity to help. I hope to see you in class soon.”

“Coming to Hyper Strength is one of the best decisions I've made in my fitness journey so far. I started training with Coach Simon for my rehab post ACL surgery. Working with him established an incredible baseline for my strength and conditioning. Coach Simon helped me re-learn some techniques and helped me perfect my form.Since the last month, my wife and I have been training with Coach Shane and Coach Anthony along with an amazing cohort of folks. The atmosphere is incredible and everyone is extremely supportive of each other. The coaches not only help you succeed but also corrective feedback. Hyper strength gym is awesome!”

“WESTCA has been my “Stomping Ground” Gym since 2017. There has been a time I took a LOA for Personal & Private Reasons, but it is a gym that I let loose my charisma while I am doing cardio, let alone that I just would like to be noticed. I have a close connection w/ Tory & some of the Front Desk staff. My MOST FAVORITE MOMENTS are the pictures I get w/ Tory & some of the “‘Bodybuilder’/‘Physique’ Bros in Christ” for Fitness Inspiration & Motivation. Especially when get my pictures w/ them, i have the resources to stay motivated & determined, though I ALWAYS continue to add more.My ONLY issues are the parking (especially that since I can NO LONGER put any trust into the Parking Garage: 1 of them, Car Theft). Additionally, like Tory, I would like to be able to train/workout w/ someone w/ a STRONG & BUFF Physique such that I can stay focused in my workouts since I sometimes find myself distracted while I workout. Most especially that since I work late during the weekdays, I am not able to get a lot done & usually do the same workout every time.Overall, based on everything I said, I am Autistic & just trying to be myself. At the same time, I just need that EXTRA Motivation to help me stay focused in my workouts. As I love Pokémon & Acting (just to name a few of my MOST FAVORITE Hobbies), I would like to be understood in my workouts.”

“What a wonderful time! We went in as a group for a free trial cardio kickboxing class and it was so much fun. We all agreed that it was something we'd wanna try again! The place is huge, we really liked all the parking that was available. They have different packages that would accommodate your needs. “This review focuses on the Master's Crossfit class for seniors coached by Ari Swan at CrossFit Almaden. The participants are primarily in their sixties and seventies with one member in her nineties. Ari put the Master's CrossFit class together for seniors to get a solid workout without damaging their aging bodies. Most of the participants migrated from classes geared towards younger athletes. They find the Master's class challenging but not overwhelming. Ari spends time getting everyone warmed up properly and keeps a close eye on technique and posture. This particular class meets at four o'clock on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class isn't too large, so you get plenty of one on one instruction, and the participants are all very supportive of one another. Even the music she uses is from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, which keeps it from being a distraction. The classes provide a great workout, and there's no worries about causing any damage to your body or overexerting yourself. This is the perfect environment if you're older and self-conscious about where you'd fit in. I can't give Ari enough credit for designing a true CrossFit class with seniors in mind.”

“I've been training with Diego for the last six months, and it’s the best gym experience I could ask for! On my first day with Diego, I told him I wanted to deadlift 300 pounds and bench 135. At the time, I was deadlifting less than 200 and benching around 105, so I thought it would take a few years to get to those goals. Last week, I beat them, deadlifting 305 and benching 140. (I also squatted 275!)I didn’t think I’d be able to make so much progress so quickly, but it’s all thanks to Diego. His training plan is ambitious but doable. It’s made me realize that I can push myself way more than I had been when working out on my own. He’s also incredibly knowledgable. He strikes a good balance between working on technique and just letting you lift. I feel like my technique has improved, but I’m not obsessing about every rep or focused on a million cues.I’m also way more accountable. I work out with Diego twice a week and once on my own. Now that I have a set schedule, going to the gym has become second nature—I don’t think about whether I want to go to the gym or whether I feel good, I just go and workout on the days I’m supposed to. It’s given more structure to my week, and it’s taken out the stress of deciding whether to work out on any given day (and then feeling guilty if I don’t).The gym is also great. Everyone is friendly, and there’s always someone willing to spot you. It’s very organized, and everyone is conscious about putting things where they belong, so you don’t have to hunt around for equipment. I come in the mornings, and I’ve never had to wait for a rack or any other equipment. Parking is also free!”

“I recently had the opportunity to drop-in at CrossFit Kindred for the Open 24.2 and it was an incredible experience! While I didn't get to try an "everyday" class, I can speak to the facility, environment, coaches, and community and I will say that this gym is one of the BEST.If you are nervous to start CrossFit or you are looking for some place to belong and feel connected to people, you have to give them a call or stop by. If I lived in San Jose, I would be a member at this gym.The owners Leonie and Vanna are community-first with everything they do. Their hearts are in the business of helping people feel welcomed while getting fit and healthy. The rest of the coaching staff is an extension of this energy and they are the first to extend a hand and show you around the facility.CrossFit Kindred has a nice lobby with cubbies and lockers, spacious bathrooms to change in and plenty of training equipment for all abilities. They recently added a half court basketball set-up so keep that in mind if you have a child looking for some private lessons...You will not be disappointed if you give this gym a try. “I’ve been going to OTF for over a year now and it’s been really great! I have been to several other studios and I think Rose Garden is the best. Great staff and coaches. I’ve taken almost every class time/coach by this point and they’re all fantastic. This studio also has a ton of natural light and is very spacious which is great.Lastly, I’ve also taken other excise classes like Barry’s and OTF by far delivers the best workout and value compared to the rest.”
