“This place has been a lifesaver for the last two years since I adopted my dog. I can always trust that everything has good ingredients (unlike the larger chains like Petsmart and Petco), and the employees are really knowledgable. I always enjoy my conversations with the employees while I'm checking out. I can tell they all really love and care about pets and animals in general. A specific moment that really stood out to me was when I had to buy my dog an e-collar (comfy cone) and was unsure of the size. An employee walked me to the cones and helped me estimate what size I would need even though I didn't have my dog with me. I wish I could support the store more, but once they got rid of the frequent buyer program on my dog's kibble I had to start ordering online since the price no longer made sense. I still come here for treats and toys, but I wish they could bring back that program because I loved coming there every week to buy kibble.”

“Called multiple groomers and no one had availability for a Saturday. I called pride 'n joy and they got me in same day right after my call. It was my baby's first time getting groomed so i was very nervous but as soon as I got there the staff seemed so happy and nice. There's good parking in the back and I picked my pup up in less then 2 years. Very efficient”

“My girl, Hazel, is a bully mix that I rescued as a 8-10week old puppy. She had already changed hands 3 times at such a young age. Even at 1.5yrs she was still struggling with confident issues, so I started bringing her into the zoom room agility classes. The classes have really helped to build up her confidence because she has so much fun getting 1:1 time with me, as well as running over, through, and around all of the different stations. I really love seeing her pittie smile. In the level 1&2 class you usually get 2-3 runs, it really depends on class size if you get more. She recently graduated to level 3.”

“AKSM has handled my dog grooming needs for years. They are amazing and responsible. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs there, and the dogs always come home smelling fresh and feeling clean. I have a 13 year old who has a seizure disorder, and DJ made me feel very comfortable continuing my dog's grooming service after the seizures began. I also take advantage of the monthly teeth cleaning service, which is very convenient. They have a pretty clear grooming menu with prices on the website, but if you have questions or need help picking what is best for your pet, just ask! They are happy to help.”

“Love this wonderful place so much!! We took our 60lb Golden retriever there for a bath and deshedding treatment. Our pup sheds SO much, I didn’t expect it would be noticeably different afterwards. She came back to us SO beautifully clean, unbelievably soft and looked 10lbs lighter with all the fur they combed off!Our girl also came home with a sweet bandana around her neck and a special treat— she was sooo happy afterwards. They also sent us a grooming report afterwards with how she did and anything else they noticed.The whole process was so professional, the facilities are spotless, and everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. My new go-to place for grooming and pet supplies!”

They had SOOOO many options and I bought a little too many. They had themed treats and even dog safe chocolate!! I had no idea that even existed. My dog loved the treats and he didn't have stomach issues from them.”

“We have tried several so called human grade dog foods. We wanted to use the best and asked our vet for many years and a close friend also, what he recommended and he suggested we try Pure Dog Food. He had nothing to say but great things and how good it was for our dog. He said the cost was a little more, but that would be nothing to keep our dog healthy and live longer, and in the long run we would not being spending all the expensive costs of medically having to treat a sick dog, one thing that us dog lovers surely know. It doesn’t have added ingredients to try and keep the freshness like all those typical kibble pet foods that add carcinogenic ingredients that can cause cancer!! And all the flavors, different vegetables, and vitamins that are sourced and made in the U.S.A. make it #1 in our book and most of all for our Bailey! Thank you Pure Dog Food!!!!!”

“I took my little dog in for a teeth cleaning, and it went very smoothly. Destiny took care of her and she was literally done and under 15 minutes. I had called Destiny because my dog was a little lethargic afterwards and there was no anesthesia used but I never got a return phone call which was disappointing. Very quick and professional. The only thing I didn't like, was feeling obligated to tip when the procedure was so quick. I chose the lowest percentage tip on their screen, but it still took my total from $155 to $178. Will be back, but choose a lower tip option next time.”

“This review is long overdue. Ever since me and my girlfriend moved to LA, this has been our go to pet store. We get everything for our dog here and always leave satisfied. We usually come for the self wash as our dog sheds too much for us to wash him at home. They offer a prepaid self wash card that is an absolute bargain. For about $15 they provide you with shampoo, conditioner, and a strong blow dryer - perfect for our pups thick coat. There's also a great selection of food, treats, and toys. I highly recommend subscribing to their email promotions. There's usually a solid store wide discount every few months and that's when we stock up on food and toys for him. The staff are always friendly and happy to assist. I've never had a bad experience here and can't recommend this place enough!”

“Stopped by for my dogs birthday this past weekend. Used the self service bath which is great and only $18 and they clean up the mess. Go early to avoid waits but each station has a 30 minute timer. After his bath we shopped around and the staff gave us recommendations on treats and chew toys. Everyone was very friendly.”
“Really nice little location in the Highlands. I was there a week earlier and discovered as I was going over my receipt the team member did not charge me for the dog collar I got to match a dog lead. I was mortified and went back as soon as I could to pay for it.I was saddened by the reaction of the team member (a different one) that he was surprised that I did this. And thanked me for my honesty. It is a sad world we live in when someone is surprised by honesty.Retail shrinkage is what drives prices higher. In the final analysis we all pay for shop lifters transgressions. The stores that suffer from the loss are not always covered by insurance. The employees that have to play store prevention loss instead of being free to actually help their customers. And, of course, the cost of goods due to ever increasing insurance rates.”
