“I love going to Rocket Reuse! Obscure and interesting books and DVDs. I usually come out with something cool. Most recently I nabbed an older obscure movie on DVD, an old Fantasy novel adapted to graphic novel, and a classic comic.”

She's so sweet and unpretentious, and the store has more style than pretty much anywhere else in Oakland. Other salons cost twice as much and give you a much worse experience. Amber is a truly awesome hairstylist and I can't recommend her enough.”
“I often pop in here to get second hand clothes or shoes for my kids. Recently it was my son's 4th birthday and we were all home sick. He had been asking everyday for over a month if his birthday was tomorrow and if he could please have a spider stuffie. He was so sad to miss his birthday at school and I had had no time to buy him a present because we had back ti back illnesses for a month. I called Kelly's corner, they had one and asked if I could pay over the phone and have her toss it out the door to me so as not to infect anyone .she was so sweet and offered to drive the gift to my house (we lived nearby)after work. She even wrapped it in a gift bag and added a few trinkets. It made his day and meant so much to me. Thank you!”

“Since living around this area, I love going in there to take a look around their nice selection of vintage clothing and accessories. The downside is, I don't think they have updated their open hours.Went in there around 11 and they were still closed. I hope they update their business hours if they have changed! Would love be able to go when I know they will for sure be open”

“I have been coming to Radbird for several years. I can always find stylish designer pieces although they tend to be on the pricier side of preowned clothing. Their prices seem to always land somewhere between $200-$400. The fine jewelry collection is gorgeous.The ladies who work there are always kind but the fitting rooms could use some full length mirrors.”

“I love this spot. The ladies here are always wanting to help and the selection is awesome. Whenever I get off work a little early, I try to make it into this shop to see what is new. I have found some amazing earring as well as other fun household objects. Hilton House find great quality item and has reasonable prices. This place has become my guilty pleasure for searching for treasures I probably don't need, but they are just so neat!”
“I’ve always driven by but never stopped in since it was after hours. I got a chance to pop in today and I found so many treasures! The owner/buyer had a great eye for unusual and precious antiques. I picked up fantastic Christmas ornaments, a stunning smoky topaz ring, and vintage Japanese porcelain aquarium decor. The latter could be used in plant terrariums too. They kindly offered my dog a treat and made me feel welcome.”

Excellent selection of shades and lamps if you are looking for something to fit your Victorian or older home.I have 3 lamps from them -- 2 they restored for me. They look and work great! “This place runs mostly on volunteers. The best I can figure is they get food from grocery stores and such that's not fit for display ( I think the term is "reclaimed food") and distribute it to various charitiesThey also distribute clothing and things like that. Check them out.”

“Hubby and I drove to Danville for a change of scenery and accidentally found this shop (conveniently right across from Moda Mi (sp?), an adorable European shop). Not only is this consignment shop beautiful complete with an awesome fish tank, it has GREAT prices! There was a red vintage Chanel suit that was waaay too small, a beautiful Bulgari handbag (hint, hint...honey, are you reading this? me likey!), and a fantastic selection of Tiffany jewelry. Not sure why anyone would ever pay full price when you have a shop like this??Met the fashionable owner; I want to dress like her someday!”
“Just bought the most magical dress and designer purse from here. They have such great options for such a tiny space! The girl working was super helpful and when I tried on the dress she gave me great pointers and was so sweet on gassing me up while I was wearing the dress. Obviously I immediately bought it. Such a great steal, the prices were affordable and when I found something with a blemish they were super quick to offer me a lower price for it! Love you mercy.”

“This is my fave consignment shop!!! I found a beautiful crystal necklace that I will wear on one of my next adventures--oohlala! I also found some boots and a jacket that my friend might like. Divine Consign has lots of very unique items--clothing including jackets and coats, jeweiry, hats, and shoes that you probably won't find any of your friends have. They accept items for consignment, but it is important to ask Joy what they are taking before cleaning out your closet. They are a high-end consignment shop that we are fortunate to have these days.
