“ODP is a quality clothing line from my hometown of Oakland Ca it's a amazing line because not only can you wear the brand the CEO also does things for the community she has backpack and free haircuts for the kids and I met the CEO when she was starting the brand and I've seen it go from shirts and hats and hoodies to a full expanded clothing line and I'm plus size girl and she's always had sizes from the kids to 4x and that was a major plus for me!”
“I often pop in here to get second hand clothes or shoes for my kids. Recently it was my son's 4th birthday and we were all home sick. He had been asking everyday for over a month if his birthday was tomorrow and if he could please have a spider stuffie. He was so sad to miss his birthday at school and I had had no time to buy him a present because we had back ti back illnesses for a month. I called Kelly's corner, they had one and asked if I could pay over the phone and have her toss it out the door to me so as not to infect anyone .she was so sweet and offered to drive the gift to my house (we lived nearby)after work. She even wrapped it in a gift bag and added a few trinkets. It made his day and meant so much to me. Thank you!”
“First of all, I am grateful that stores like this exist. As other reviewers said it is a bit chaotic in there, but there is a rhyme and reason to how everything is organized. Although the selection is small, they do have every size for both boys and girls and the condition of everything I've seen from clothes, to shoes, toys, gear, and books has always been good to great. I've never left without finding something wonderful. I think the prices are very fair, maybe a dollar or two above thrift stores, sometimes on par with thrift stores. I have both purchased things for my son, and sold baby gear (clothes, swings, a pack n play) that he's outgrown. She is currently only giving store credit, which again I totally understand as I imagine retail is rough right now. A phone number would be helpful as I always want to check before loading up bigger items, but she's always been open during store hours and I have never regretted a trip down. Also it would be great if you could share what you're currently in need of, so regulars could more regularly pop in with new inventory.”

“I've been going here ever since I was pregnant with my son, and now expecting my next child. Conveniently located across the Prenatal care at Kaiser. They always have an adorable collection of clothes and they have Jellycat plushies! I stopped by here just to see if they had the Jellycat turtle for my son before purchasing online, and I was able to spot it right away. “This Old Navy at THIS LOCATION is one of my very favorite places to shop in this area. More than all the other Old Navy's in the East Bay. This is my first go-to for clothes. Well stocked, well defined areas for kids, women, men, accessories etc. Their brand and styles are great, but not too "out there" or boring. I would say clothes are fun and practical. Value is important - Old Navy clothes wear and wash well...but the time they wear out, the style is out of trend anyway. Clean, bright, safe and no crime worries. Not hectic like at Veranda. Always the best customer service here!”

“I called BoxLunch to see if they could put an item on hold for me and I was able to pick it up the next day. I had a previous gift card that was reimbursed for a cancelled online order. This ended up locking the balance of my gift card due to their system. Hailey was so kind to call customer service for me to resolve the issue. Her efforts did not go unnoticed. 3 calls later and being on hold for 20+ minutes, we were finally able to unlock my funds and use my balance for my purchase.Afterwards, we decided to do more shopping. They have a variety of clothes for children from casual to some dressy clothes, summer and winter wear, and we even picked up some socks and underwear that were actually new. “I had a child a year ago and I was very nervous to come in and try on jeans for the first time in a year. I grabbed a variety of sizes and when I tried them on I realized none of them fit me. To my surprise, the fitting rooms now have a tablet that shows what you have and you can request different sizes. I requested other sizes and the worker brought them to me quickly, she was wonderful! If it weren’t for the tablet and worker I would’ve just given up, left, and I would have been upset. I had one of the best experiences at this store so far!”
“I purchased some jeans GAP online during at 50% off sale. However, one pair did not fit well and I wanted to exchange it for a slim cut. Not having had to do an online return, I text chatted with a customer service rep and she explained the steps to return the pants, reorder and pay for the new pants and that it would take up to 25 business days for my return to be processed and credit to be issued. Not wanting to deal with the process, I decided to do the exchange at a store. GAP has been closing many locations and stores are few and far in between. Luckily the nearest store was only 9 miles away at the Lakeshore area and I found a parking space down the block.There was no wait and I was able to walk up to the cashier and explained my intent to do an exchange. She said I would be credited for my purchase, but I would have to purchase the new jeans at the current price and not at the price I paid, which didn't make sense. She said she would get a manager to help me. A manager came and I explained my situation and he checked if the pants I wanted was in stock and it wasn't. So he ordered it online and it would be sent to me and processed my return. The pants went down in price so I even go a credit for the difference. I was happy to get my exchange done at the store and not have to deal with the steps required for an online return. It was not simple like a return on Amazon. Though the cashier did not understand the exchange I wanted to transact, I appreciated that the manager made the exchange transaction seamlessly.”

“Ellington and French is a neighborhood gem. It is the most delightful little gift shop, and it always smells wonderful the moment you walk through the door. My mother had received an email about their holiday champagne sip and shop sale, so of course we had to go! We were greeted with champagne and chocolate, and it looked like a winter wonderland inside. All of their merchandise is so cute, it was hard not to buy the entire store! We came away with some sweet gift and stocking stuffers for family and hearts full of holiday cheer! If you're ever in the market for a little birthday, holiday, house warming, or "just because" gift; or if you just need a joyful pick me up, stop by Ellington and French!”
