“This Home Depot is in the Emeryville shopping area, with a huge parking lot and is within walking distance of a Target, Nordstrom Rack, Office Depot and Michael's.I've gone there to get paint matched, and a variety of other household items and they've always had them.Lately I've been ordering online for pickup and they've usually been pretty responsive to get the pickup orders ready.”

“Dude... I love Cole Hardware lol. Coming to this store is like going treasure hunting. Sometimes I'll wander in with no agenda and no plans - and then find something useful, exciting, or random to buy. Recently I got a "stubby hammer" - a mini adorable hammer. I also come here for gardening supplies. They have lots of soils in the back. The best part of cole hardware is the staff. They're knowledgeable and friendly. And not pushy! The staff doesn't hard sell you. One gentleman helped me find tools for de-weeding my garden. He suggested the cheaper option, because he said it did a great job. “I will say that I can see how the Home Depot has changed, the majority of items are locked up. However, I do understand why; it’s due to the high amount of theft. But, I would like to say that I appreciate how friendly and how proactive an employee was during our visit. Denene provided us with AMAZING customer service! I appreciate how thorough she was explaining the process of changing out the cabinets and counter tops for our home. We found Kevin to be very approachable and knowledgeable on kitchen cabinets, countertops, etc. He really knows his products. As a result we purchased cabinets and counter-top from him.Kevin patiently listened to our needs, likes and dislikes, and provided sound advice from his years of experience. He came to our house twice to get our kitchen layout and measurements, gave us 2 iterations of kitchen design drawings, and recommended several reliable and capable contractors to complete this project. We are new to kitchen and bathroom renovation, and often could not decide on or were unsure of which product is best for a certain function or area. We would consult Kevin, he certainly was not afraid to share his experience of what materials to use for certain room or which color for certain wall, and we found his advice to be sound and practical.Kevin has many years of kitchen renovation knowledge. Because of his attention to details, he identified and helped solve the problem of getting a tall cabinet into the house through the tight entrances. “This is about customer service that you don't get every day. I bought some bronze metal paint from this Home Depot to camouflage some new wire conduit being installed on my dark wooden ceiling beams. Then the electrician installed the conduit, not on the beam, but on the cream-colored wall under it! I couldn't find the receipt. I went to HD and explained to a lady in 'returns' named Delilah that I wanted the very same paint, just in a lighter color -- could I exchange it without standing in multiple lines? She said of course I could. It took me a little while to find a can of the lighter color -- someone had put some flat black in front of it. I got back to returns, and some other lady who must have been having an awful day told Delilah that she had to make the transaction a return, issue me a store credit, and send me off to wait in another line. I didn't have time for that. I told the other lady thanks but no thanks, and assured her I'd mention the store in my next review. I was just about out the door when Delilah ran up and said she could help me -- there was no such rule. She completed the transaction quickly and neatly on her terminal. If Home Depot wants more happy customers, they'll give Delilah a big raise and promote her to training! So I'm mentioning the store in a different kind of review!”

“Visited Flooring section a couple of weeks ago in my quest to buy vinyl laminated flooring. We could not find the particular color we were seeking. My friend approached Customer Service Representative Fely (Salesperson: FAW1698) who immediately stopped what she was doing and assisted us. We originally were looking at the wrong flooring since we really wanted laminated flooring. Also, since the color we were looking for was unavailable, she provided us with a very similar color, thus, saving us from having to trek to Pleasanton. She made sure we had everything needed to complete the task and saved us from standing in extremely long lines by ringing us up on the spot. During this pandemic, it is refreshing to find people who take their jobs seriously and believes in true Customer Service. My being a senior felt grateful for all her help.”
