“This was my first visit to Fred's Wrenchouse, and I had a great experience. My repair could have cost more than it did, but they simply did what was necessary to make my car both driveable and aesthetically pleasing and I was on my way a few hours later. This process was made easier because after I dropped my car off in the morning, I was able to go around the corner to Pete's coffee and worked there for 4-4.5 hours on my laptop, and my car was ready to be picked up before 2 PM. Clearly, with all their high ratings here on Yelp, this business doesn't need another one, but I think it's important to keep reviewing so that new customers know they are still doing quality work, in a reasonable amount of time, for a fair market price, and not doing more/charging more if it isn't needed. I had the repair completed the first few days of October 2023, and 6 weeks later it's still feeling solid and my car drives so much more smoothly after the fact.”

“I was very wary of going to anybody but my usual mechanic but I was stuck in island for a couple of weeks and my regular guy had rushed to replace the transmission in my Tahoe before I left and hadn't had time for the oil change. I never, ever go past 5000 miles, especially in warm weather, so it was nagging on me to get it done. The price was fair and the guys were fast, I told them what I did and didn't want done and that the car takes 8 quarts 0w20. So far so good.”

None of the nearby gas stations had a pressure gauge, so I took my car here and Craig was very friendly and professional! He pumped air free of charge into all the tires, inspected them briefly, and said if there's any issues to come right on back. Turns out there weren't any additional issues after that, but if it comes up I'm definitely coming here. Craig felt like family! Thanks for taking care of my car.”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I work in orinda and have had this nasty noise coming from my rear wheel. 2 mechanics before taking it here told me they were “unsure” what the noise was. Jaimie, an incredible service advisor got me in within an hour of talking to him. Come to find out I was basically driving around a death machine due to bad prior mechanic work. Pete was the tech that got me all fixed and back on the road in an hour ! Would 1000000% recommend if you are looking for a fair, competent shop to take care of your prize possession, or even just your daily driver. Great price too!”

“I usually do all the work on my car myself. this time I changed out my VCT valves on my 2008 Ford expedition. after putting it all back together I took it for a road test and it started spitting. I called up B A auto repair and explain to the owners, what I replaced on my engine and told him the problem that it was having, that was on Monday and was told to bring it in Tuesday morning. Showed up a little bit before 11 o’clock The mechanic did a diagnostics, and explain to me what was going on I go ahead and fix it, and since they had the vehicle go ahead and change the spark plugs. I would like to say they were very professional and did an excellent job and were done with my car in about 2 1/2 hours.I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get their vehicles worked on”

“This is overdue but none the less I couldn't be happier to have found a local shop to work on my 2015 golf. I am a female and well I don't know crap about cars so anytime I have had to deal with car troubles you know the anxiety level is at its worst. I had the car vandalized recently with a hole in the gas tank (I still love you Oakland) ...they fixed it right away and stayed in communication with me the entire time.
