“About a month go, my tire light came on and didn't feel comfortable driving all the way home from work so I stopped by here to have it checked. turns out, near the valve of the tire was damaged. So had them replace it. 15 mins later and $35 I was on my way. I noticed they did other services besides tires and made mental note.So, now it's been a minute (ok, about a year) since I had my old changed. Light never came on, but then my commute is 8 minutes and not 25 miles which could sometimes take me an 1.5 when I lived down south. I also had a great mechanic in LB so was hesitant and I sure as hell wasn't going to pay dealership service charges and then tell me I needed something "extra". Got off work early and called to see if they had availability for that day. Yes they did. 5 mins later, I was here (conveniently located near my job) no frills, no upcharge and 30 min later, and 79.00 voila, synthetic oil change and good to go for another 6 months. Friendly, better bureau registered and registered with State of CA. Legit service. Cash or Debit card only. Says it on the wall, I'm saying it in the review so no excuse to say ya didnt know.”

“This was my first visit to Fred's Wrenchouse, and I had a great experience. My repair could have cost more than it did, but they simply did what was necessary to make my car both driveable and aesthetically pleasing and I was on my way a few hours later. This process was made easier because after I dropped my car off in the morning, I was able to go around the corner to Pete's coffee and worked there for 4-4.5 hours on my laptop, and my car was ready to be picked up before 2 PM. Clearly, with all their high ratings here on Yelp, this business doesn't need another one, but I think it's important to keep reviewing so that new customers know they are still doing quality work, in a reasonable amount of time, for a fair market price, and not doing more/charging more if it isn't needed. I had the repair completed the first few days of October 2023, and 6 weeks later it's still feeling solid and my car drives so much more smoothly after the fact.”

“I was very wary of going to anybody but my usual mechanic but I was stuck in island for a couple of weeks and my regular guy had rushed to replace the transmission in my Tahoe before I left and hadn't had time for the oil change. I never, ever go past 5000 miles, especially in warm weather, so it was nagging on me to get it done. The price was fair and the guys were fast, I told them what I did and didn't want done and that the car takes 8 quarts 0w20. So far so good.”

“The only thing to ding these guys on was that they were swamped- but that speaks to my great experience. I came in on a recommendation to get a tire replaced. They discovered when I brought it in that another tire had a nail in it. They called and let me know and I said "go ahead" (because why wouldn't you get a nail fixed? They finished the job and even cleaned the car!One thing that was also amazing was when I got stuck with work stuff down on the peninsula, they were okay with the car hanging out overnight because I couldn't get back by close. Super nice and a great job. Three thumbs up.”

“My car broke down last Thursday, and I was trying to find a mechanic to take my car to. Car Care Service was very responsive and was able to accommodate my tow-in at the last minute. Long was friendly and helped me complete my intake paper quickly right before they closed. My car is running great and the price for the repair of my alternator it was pretty reasonable. I am very glad that I was introduced to this mechanic and will be coming back if I need service.”

“It'd be 5 stars if the place we're a bit bigger. The staff can't do anything about that though. If you're coming at rush time you'll probably be stuck in the street waiting in line which can get awkward. But the service is great everyone knows what they're doing. Once you get to the front it goes by pretty quickly. They also do courtesy checks for your transmission fluid and some other things. Overall it's a nice experience.”

“My dash had the low tire pressure icon, and since I had an older model car I couldn't tell which one it was. None of the nearby gas stations had a pressure gauge, so I took my car here and Craig was very friendly and professional! He pumped air free of charge into all the tires, inspected them briefly, and said if there's any issues to come right on back. Turns out there weren't any additional issues after that, but if it comes up I'm definitely coming here. Craig felt like family! Thanks for taking care of my car.”

“I usually do all the work on my car myself. this time I changed out my VCT valves on my 2008 Ford expedition. after putting it all back together I took it for a road test and it started spitting. I called up B A auto repair and explain to the owners, what I replaced on my engine and told him the problem that it was having, that was on Monday and was told to bring it in Tuesday morning. Showed up a little bit before 11 o’clock The mechanic did a diagnostics, and explain to me what was going on I go ahead and fix it, and since they had the vehicle go ahead and change the spark plugs. I would like to say they were very professional and did an excellent job and were done with my car in about 2 1/2 hours.I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get their vehicles worked on”
