“Jiffy Lube in Danville- unsung heroes Today there was a sweet teenage looking boy parked with hazard lights on in the middle of San Ramón Valley Blvd before Hartz. His battery gave out, couldn't push the car bc neutral didn't work without the battery. I pulled over to help and happened to be in the Jiffy Lube parking lot. Upon letting them know why I was parking if I may use their lot, 3 guys immediately sprung into action to help much more than I could have. Without hesitation, they got jumper cables, another car from their business pulled up alongside to use that battery to jump, another JL employee got cones to block traffic from behind, it was his first day on the job. It brought tears to my eyes. Way to go hiring A+ selfless people who were incredibly capable and efficient in helping this guy!”

“I have been going to Ace Auto Care since I moved to Lafayette, and continued going since I moved to Concord. They are respectful, honest, and fair. It may not be as convenient for me to bring my car back to Lafayette, but I know they will take care of my car.An example of their integrity: I have many stories of them being upstanding mechanics, but this one stood out to me the most. I brought my car in for a fix, they did their repairs and I started driving away. I noticed an odd sound, so I turned around and brought it right back. They looked at it, saw there was something they missed, and fixed it right away with no additional cost (it was a minor thing). Initially, got a quote to perform the oil leak repair but after disassembling parts to get a better assessment, the technician found the main source of the leak to be different from the original assessment and informed me of the finding instead of proceeding with the original work, which would have not fixed the main source of the oil leak. Ended up not performing the repair due to the extensive amount of work and associated costs not justified by the value of the car.I would certainly choose this shop for my future auto repair needs.Service: Auto engine diagnostic”

“The MECHANIC SHOP is solid! They’ll get you in and out faster than any place I’ve been without ever sacrificing quality work or kindness checking you in, no matter how busy they are! Half the time I’ve gone they are super busy and it’s never dead or even slow so I really don’t know how they do it.Found them in the comments on a Reddit post, looking for a reasonably priced mechanic that knows how to work on a Subaru because I didn’t want to pay dealership prices for an older (but immaculate & reliable) car that I might need to trade soon, due to a lifestyle change. The dealer wanted to charge me $250 to do an oil change and diagnose the problem, saying the diagnostic without the oil change is $300. I got an even higher quote from a Subaru specialist mechanic. Ugh.They diagnosed it for free and fixed the problem (a fan belt I think) the same day for less than the quote. So happy I was able to just check the google reviews before I went to confirm this is the spot. It takes less than 20 minutes to get there and I drove 45 minutes no traffic plus bridge the last time I found a good mechanic but he was the sweetest older man and retired, which is the saddest day for me, a few years ago! I really miss him so I’m super grateful to find these guys.PS They will tell you directly if they can’t do something:They don’t do electrical work (at least on Subaru) or diesel but will recommend someone”

I have an IID device in my car so I come pretty frequently.Whether I'm getting my device calibrated, going in for routine maintenance or having bigger issues resolved everyone at Dublin auto is so nice and efficient and I'm billed with no hidden fees at a great rate.They updated their waiting area that they decorate for each holiday, have a dog bed and kid toys with little treats, very sweet and thoughtful. Those accommodations let you know they are good people. 10/10 I recommend them to everyone!”

“My grandpa used K&C's for who knows how long before my Grandparents passed. My mom remembered how much my Grandpa would rave about the mechanic who kept their vehicles running (and bought my grandmas Mercedes from). Well after their passing, my car needed work so I gave them a call and brought in my Jeep. I've had random things go out, my Throttle Body, Multi Function Switch. I've needed some batteries replaced, the spark plugs done, oil changes, etc. Each issue I have had, Kevin has run the diagnostics on the car, and then researched the problems. He is honest, doesn't overcharge and they get the work done. Today, my car died and Kevin almost came to jump my car for me but AAA was there quickly. I was able to get my car over to him and he stopped what he was doing and went to replace my battery and replace the terminals as they were bad. He's worked on my mom, stepfather, and brothers cars. We truly feel blessed and happy that we have him and that Ryan (and Honey) greet us when we have to come in. He's the person you don't want to use, but are happy to have on speed dial. “I took my mother in law's car in for an oil change. She doesn't drive it very much and we weren't sure how long it had been since her last change. The gentlemen who assisted me assured me that the oil was fine and that she could go another 1000 miles before she needed to come back. They topped off the oil, checked the air pressure and sent me on my way at no charge. While they easily could have taken advantage and done the work, the folks here were honest, polite and very professional. I won't hesitate to come back for my next oil change.”
