“I probably should give 5 stars, but my experience with Auto Excellence is limited to one check up. That said, they did identify a serious issue that the dealer and other shops had failed to recognize. So I'll be going back.”

“Would like to tell you of my experience today. Brought in my new chrome alternator. Need to switch a bracket off my old one. Didn’t have the tools to do the work myself. The staff was extremely friendly. They grabbed my new alternator. Switched the bracket around for me. They informed me that they used to focus on alternators and starters. So it was like they have done this before. As I was getting ready to go up and pay. They said don’t worry about it. How cool is that. Extremely grateful and definitely recommend bringing all your automotive needs to there shop. Thanks.”

“David is amazing, everything you want from a mechanic. Honest and reliable. He did everything he could to fix my car, when he realized how much work my car really needed, he provided me with advise on what to do. He didn't overcharge me for his time and would not even accept a tip because he knew how much I was about to spend on my car.
Unfortunately I had to take my car to the dealership, who claimed my car was prefect. I communicated this with David and David was nice enough to contact the dealership for me, speak with the technician and tell them how to fix my car/what to look for. If it wasn't for David, Hyundai would not have fixed anything and given me a unreliable car.
My car is job, I go to people's home to provide healthcare. How could I do that with a car that can stop starting at any point? David is the best, I'm sad this job had to be done through the dealership because I would have rather given my money to an honest and reliable mechanic. If I ever have a car issue again, I will always call David first.”
“Stewart was awesome! He informed me of everything I needed and even a problem with a gasket leaking (very minor leak) and they do not handle fixing the problem there at OilStop. He did, however, recommend a stop leak product, since the leak is so minor, which I got. All in all, I was very pleased with Stewart and OilStop. I have been going to this OilStop for almost 10+ years!! I recommend this OilStop to all who live in Petaluma!”

He was very helpful in explaining what was wrong with my car and took measures to save me money by process of elimination and buying warranty used parts first before buying new. “I have been using ARU for years. Communication is important and ARU is great about it. Estimates up front are usually the bill when the work is done. I left a previous mechanic because it was just the opposite, always more than I expected. Dave is great about getting you in asap, often the next day. Never, not once have I had to return to have something re-repaired. That should be a given but not true of all shops. All in all, Dave is a great guy, easy to work with, fair, honest and affordable.”
