590 Lincoln Ave, San Jose“This is a long awaited and well deserved review. I first met Neal in 2016 while I was working through an injury. At that time, I had been training at another CrossFit and was taking time off to recover from the injury. Neal only had a brief discussion with me at the time on how to prevent this injury in the future. This feedback was quite impressionable that I held onto it for 8 years, until I decided it was time to return to CrossFit this year. Neal, Tracy, Ulysses and Dave have been phenomenal with their coaching. They offer a training and nutrition program that delivers results effectively. If you are seeking to improve your health, athletic performance, etcetera. As long as you know your why, listen and put your best effort in the results will follow. If you are having any reservations about your own journey, listen to the voice inside of you, and give the coaches here an opportunity to help. I hope to see you in class soon.”

“Coming to Hyper Strength is one of the best decisions I've made in my fitness journey so far. I started training with Coach Simon for my rehab post ACL surgery. Working with him established an incredible baseline for my strength and conditioning. Coach Simon helped me re-learn some techniques and helped me perfect my form.Since the last month, my wife and I have been training with Coach Shane and Coach Anthony along with an amazing cohort of folks. The atmosphere is incredible and everyone is extremely supportive of each other. The coaches not only help you succeed but also corrective feedback. Hyper strength gym is awesome!”

“10 out of 10! They say, “if you want to be the best, you need to train with the best.” Well this also goes for the maintenance on your body. As a competitive athlete I want to feel my best, so I need the best to work on my body. Yes, Dr. Dino helps me deal with nagging injuries so I continue my training but also he helps me with preventative care so my body stays moving through hard training. Highly recommend!”

“A Life-Changing Gym ExperienceJoining The Cakery by Marfit has been a life-changing decision for me. At the age of 42, after years of inconsistency with my health and fitness, I've finally found a gym that I love and am excited to go to. The magic of this place lies in its unique approach to fitness, led by the incredible duo, Marlon and Barry. The gym's small group sessions are perfectly structured, offering personalized guidance within a communal setting. This balance of individual attention and group dynamics has been pivotal in keeping me motivated and engaged. Marlon and Barry excel at creating a workout experience that's both effective and enjoyable, making it easy to stay committed. The sense of community here is unlike any other. It's a supportive, encouraging environment that truly feels like a family. The gym's energetic atmosphere is a refreshing change from typical fitness routines, making each session something to look forward to.Above all, Marlon's dedication to his clients sets The Cakery apart. His care, humor, and commitment extend beyond the gym, offering support and friendship that impacts lives far outside its walls. If you're searching for a place that will change the way you view fitness and community, The Cakery by Marfit is it.In just four months, my perspective on health and fitness has been transformed. I'm grateful to Marlon, Barry, and the entire community at The Cakery. This isn't just a gym; it's a place where life changes happen.”

1171 Homestead RdSuite 160, Santa Clara“Sadly the pandemic closed down my long time hot yoga/Pilates studio. Not being the self-motivated type, I went from hardcore hot Pilates four times a week to NOTHING. As my body got visibly out of shape, I got depressed and couldn't muster enough motivation to change. Beginning of this year, after reaching my very peak weight (and lowest level of physical strength), I finally came to the realization that I have to do something about the situation. I tried a few studios and Rebel Rise hit all the marks for what I was looking for:1) Ease of commute and parking: The studio is located in Franklin Square, a small, quiet plaza in Santa Clara "downtown". It's easy to drive to and there are plenty of parking at the lot across the street.2) Small business: I truly appreciate a non-corporate/chain studio, without the the obnoxious headsets and/or take-themselves too seriously attitudes. The studio is well-rounded and down to earth. 3) Clean and orderly: This is a super clean facility. Owner Jenn provides plenty of heavenly smelling tea tree oil sanitizing sprays and wipes for students to wipe down mats, equipments, and blocks after use. For strength training classes, disinfectant wipes are used to wipe down weights and mats as students switch from one station to the next. The equipments are well-organized and varied. There are also mats you can borrow for the class if you forget yours. There's no shower but there is a changing room, as well as a water dispenser. Restrooms are shared with the rest plaza and kept very clean.4) Uncrowded classes: People are not jammed packed into a room. Strength training classes are 8 people max to ensure safety and distance while working out. I believe the yoga classes are maxed at 20. As a person who needs personal space/distance even prior to COVID, I very much enjoy not having people's feet right in front of my face while doing yoga. We don't have to park our mats in closely pre-marked spots either; I appreciate the freedom to choose my space.5) Friendly (not the unctuous kind) and supportive environment: Not only do the instructors greet you by name, all the students are welcoming and kind. I was very nervous about attending the first few classes, afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up. The nerves were completely unnecessary. The longtime students were comforting and sweet, taking the time to learn my name and chitchat. It's not a competitive environment by any means. The classes are easy to adapt for beginners and you are not pressured to do more than what you are comfortable with.6) Variety of classes and schedule: There are 6 AM and 7 AM classes for those are enthusiastic about morning workouts. For people who are more time flexible, there are midday and early afternoon classes. Evening classes start at 5:15 PM and 6:15 PM. FYI, there are more classes offered than the schedule listed on the Rebel Rise website. Use the MINDBODY app to see HIIT classes, workshops, and special events (like free classes at Alo or Vuori). Coming from a hot Pilates background, I do chase a bit of physical difficulty challenge and favor the HIIT and strength classes. Yoga classes are great for stretch and balance practice in between. Due to past yoga related injuries, I appreciate that the yoga classes are not focused on crazy inversions and contortions. I do miss power yoga with a faster and continuous flow sometimes, but then again, HIIT is a decent substitute if you are looking for cardio and body resistance type of workout. About two weeks into the 3x a week one month trial membership, I signed up for unlimited monthly membership. Now two months in, I've gone from a complete couch potato to attending classes up to 5 times a week. It's not only because I enjoy the workouts, I also enjoy seeing my fellow classmates and the instructors. This is such a gem of a studio. I would encourage you to try it out if you are either looking to start or re-start a fitness habit.”
“Spacious clean facility, friendly staff, awesome instructors who encourage you to get the best out of every workout. Workouts are challenging but then you are here for some body transformation whether it is hard body or weight loss and it’s worth it.. The program has brought a discipline in what I eat and my daily workouts. Shout out to Mari, Kristy, Daniel!”
“Tanya did a stellar job this morning coaching us on both rowing form & pace as well as advising the class before it began on the max dumbbell weight we should grab based on the planned strength/floor routines. She sure was right in doing that as I found out later. ? Her professionalism combined with her overflowing energy to the class made for both an exhausting & exhilarating workout today --- perfect combo!”

30 N 3rd St, San Jose“WESTCA has been my “Stomping Ground” Gym since 2017. There has been a time I took a LOA for Personal & Private Reasons, but it is a gym that I let loose my charisma while I am doing cardio, let alone that I just would like to be noticed. I have a close connection w/ Tory & some of the Front Desk staff. My MOST FAVORITE MOMENTS are the pictures I get w/ Tory & some of the “‘Bodybuilder’/‘Physique’ Bros in Christ” for Fitness Inspiration & Motivation. Especially when get my pictures w/ them, i have the resources to stay motivated & determined, though I ALWAYS continue to add more.My ONLY issues are the parking (especially that since I can NO LONGER put any trust into the Parking Garage: 1 of them, Car Theft). Additionally, like Tory, I would like to be able to train/workout w/ someone w/ a STRONG & BUFF Physique such that I can stay focused in my workouts since I sometimes find myself distracted while I workout. Most especially that since I work late during the weekdays, I am not able to get a lot done & usually do the same workout every time.Overall, based on everything I said, I am Autistic & just trying to be myself. At the same time, I just need that EXTRA Motivation to help me stay focused in my workouts. As I love Pokémon & Acting (just to name a few of my MOST FAVORITE Hobbies), I would like to be understood in my workouts.”

Whether it is following the prescribed workout program or working on your own skills, all the coaches will constantly coach you through your exercises and provide critique to help you with your workout or lifts. The coaches are excellent with tremendous amounts of experience and expertise.CrossFit Myo is more than just a CrossFit gym, it is a family!”

19700 Vallco Pkwy Suite 100, Cupertino“I just wanted to take a moment to express my absolute delight with my experience at F45 Cupertino. The atmosphere is incredible, and I can't say enough about the amazing coaches, Brook and Corey. They've been instrumental in helping me reach my fitness goals. One thing I truly appreciate is how they cater to individual needs - whether I need space to focus or some extra attention to perfect my form, they always deliver. It's this personalized touch that sets F45 Cupertino apart.I also want to give a shoutout to Martin, the owner, who has been incredibly helpful in finding the perfect membership option for me. His dedication to ensuring each member's needs are met is truly commendable.Having tried other workout memberships like OrangeTheory and Barry's, I can confidently say that F45 Cupertino stands out as the best. 299 Bassett St, San Jose“What a wonderful time! We went in as a group for a free trial cardio kickboxing class and it was so much fun. We all agreed that it was something we'd wanna try again! The place is huge, we really liked all the parking that was available. They have different packages that would accommodate your needs. I think if you are on the fence and wanna try something different to get your heart pumping this is worth trying! Go to their website and try a class yourself! They are all so nice and friendly, extremely inviting environment and experience.”
“This review focuses on the Master's Crossfit class for seniors coached by Ari Swan at CrossFit Almaden. The participants are primarily in their sixties and seventies with one member in her nineties. Ari put the Master's CrossFit class together for seniors to get a solid workout without damaging their aging bodies. Most of the participants migrated from classes geared towards younger athletes. They find the Master's class challenging but not overwhelming. Ari spends time getting everyone warmed up properly and keeps a close eye on technique and posture. This particular class meets at four o'clock on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class isn't too large, so you get plenty of one on one instruction, and the participants are all very supportive of one another. Even the music she uses is from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, which keeps it from being a distraction. The classes provide a great workout, and there's no worries about causing any damage to your body or overexerting yourself. This is the perfect environment if you're older and self-conscious about where you'd fit in. I can't give Ari enough credit for designing a true CrossFit class with seniors in mind.”

1630 Remuda Ln, San Jose“I've been training with Diego for the last six months, and it’s the best gym experience I could ask for! On my first day with Diego, I told him I wanted to deadlift 300 pounds and bench 135. At the time, I was deadlifting less than 200 and benching around 105, so I thought it would take a few years to get to those goals. Last week, I beat them, deadlifting 305 and benching 140. (I also squatted 275!)I didn’t think I’d be able to make so much progress so quickly, but it’s all thanks to Diego. His training plan is ambitious but doable. It’s made me realize that I can push myself way more than I had been when working out on my own. He’s also incredibly knowledgable. He strikes a good balance between working on technique and just letting you lift. I feel like my technique has improved, but I’m not obsessing about every rep or focused on a million cues.I’m also way more accountable. I work out with Diego twice a week and once on my own. Now that I have a set schedule, going to the gym has become second nature—I don’t think about whether I want to go to the gym or whether I feel good, I just go and workout on the days I’m supposed to. It’s given more structure to my week, and it’s taken out the stress of deciding whether to work out on any given day (and then feeling guilty if I don’t).The gym is also great. Everyone is friendly, and there’s always someone willing to spot you. It’s very organized, and everyone is conscious about putting things where they belong, so you don’t have to hunt around for equipment. I come in the mornings, and I’ve never had to wait for a rack or any other equipment. Parking is also free!”
“Great workout! Multiple class offerings throughout the day that have a variety of cardio and weights. Each class is different and the coaches encourages everyone to push and challenge oneself. The first few classes may take a bit to get familiar with some of the equipment, but don't feel discouraged. Everyone is at different levels, so it's okay to go at one's own pace. The desk staff were very helpful and are not pushy to sign up as a member - there a different options to be able to take classes without the pressure of a membership, which is refreshing.”

1445 The Alameda #2653, San Jose“I have been a member at Labarre for 5+years. I was introduced by a friend and haven't left. It's hands down the best studio I've been to. It is extremely clean, involved in the community and offers a variety of classes and services. The owner Lisa is very involved and holds a high standard. The instructors are all very genuine, skilled and personable. The sense of community and support is refreshing. I look forward to going to my daily class. It is truly an inspirational and beautiful community!”
“Wonderful and inviting - although I’m not much of a fitness buff myself, it’s always a pleasure to arrive for my bi-weekly workout to see the wonderful staff and coaches (even if I get sore afterwards).”
“This is a great gym! Everyone who works here or works out here is so kind, and there’s a great energy about this gym. Good equipment, clean space. Also, Priscilla is the best personal trainer! She is so knowledgeable, makes working out really fun, and is just incredible to work with to meet my fitness goals. Definitely give this place a go!”
