9280 Hwy 9, Ben LomondI went to this bakery last year whilst on holiday from Scotland (intrigued by village name and connection to Scotland). One year on I'm still thinking about the snack I picked up from here it was so good, and the price was really fair in comparison to the rest of the Bay Area. In such a peaceful location, the owners must be living their dream life running this store and it comes across in their friendly service too.

9600 CA-9, Ben LomondThis is beautiful. If you want smoother roads,easier walks, etc stay in santa cruz and circle a redwood.. True-you get what you pay for. But this is Beautiful, Peaceful and also Fun. Lol. Go for it. My 80 yr old sister from manangrove (haha) FL loved it as well as her husband ( MN). Have been on many hikes with kids and friends when they were younger. B4 CZU. Have been going for 30 yrs..

7970 CA-9, Ben LomondAwesome little spot in Ben Lomond! Really blew my expectations away if I'm being honest. They have a lot of good beer including some really top shelf stuff like Goose Island Barrel-Aged Stouts. That stuff ranks 4.5+ on beer rating sites and some of the best Goose Island runs $40 a single bottle which they do have in stock. The highlight is undoubtedly their tri-tip. We got lucky and visited the store right as they were grilling up a fresh batch right outside. After some banter we were able to negotiate a deal on some fresh grilled sliced tri-tip with sauce for about $16 (roughtly 10 oz portion). Tasted pretty good! The best analogy I can give is Americanized Korean bulgogi, which is pretty delicious, although if it were me I would slightly tone down the sweetness of their sauce and make it a bit more savory. Something like a beef jus with their grilled tri-tip would be heavenly! I would come back as well as strongly recommend to others based on the friendly attitude/service of the staff and the quality of the products offered.

Coffee Nine
9505 CA-9, Ben LomondCoffee 9 has been the go-to coffee shop in Ben Lomond for decades. Always a friendly and comfortable hang out. Recent (a couple years?) ownership change resulted in some good upgrades to facility and menu. And now every time I order something that needs preparation, after waiting a few minutes the chef himself serves it to me. Nice touch! If you are looking for your morning blast, an afternoon pick-me-up, or just a quick snack, check out Coffee 9!
