“looking to build strength to help my ultra running I decided to try out Crossfit Whittier. The first day I visited I was impressed by the member and coaches who were very welcoming. I've never done crossfit so it was a little intimidating. After the first class it was on. I was hooked. Each workout can be modified which was awesome for someone like me who has zero upper body strength. After a couple weeks my fiance decided to join me and really liked it too. Both of us have been coming to Crossfit whittier for about 4 months now. This gym will change your life. My favorite part about this gym is by far the coaches and members. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.”

“started coming here a couple of months ago and i’ve honestly been enjoying it so much! i don’t really like traditional gyms or running, and the workouts are challenging but there’s enough wiggle room to adjust for your skill level so i work up a sweat every time. facilities are clean and all the staff are great; they’re super helpful if you don’t know the exercises & are great at motivating you when you need that little push.”

“Oh my goodness! Where to start?! I absolutely love this place. Crossfit Blvd is now my second home as well as my family's. I have never in my 33 years of life been able to stick with a workout much less enjoy it! I came in a bit scared to be honest because I had never ever done anything similar but since day one with coach Yvette and her light, positivity, and encouragement I knew I could challenge myself to do it and be consistent. Three months later thanks to the coaches and the community I am going consistently at least 5 times a week and actually nailing Crossfit movements and getting healthier at the same time! I can hold myself on monkey bars, pick up my toddler or 50lbs dog food like nothing, if that's not proof I don't know what is! All the coaches Carlos, Rich, Katie, Meghan, Amanda, Mark, and Drew are so welcoming, encouraging and overall amazing human beings so thankful for them. Each and every class is an experience and overall amazing time. They also offer a kids class, which my kids absolutely love (9&10) they make it fun yet challenging and they can't wait to come back every Saturday. Who knew working out could be so much fun! Crossfit BLVD you have already changed my life in ways I never thought possible I am so grateful for this place and this community. “Great place to work out if you don't like going to the gym. I didn't like going to the gym because of the atmosphere and because I had no idea what I was doing most of the time. F45 solved both those issues!I started out here a couple months ago after a 15-year-or-so hiatus from working out. I was both reluctant and a bit intimidated at first but that quickly wore off after meeting the coaches. They help you with your form, provide you with a wealth of fitness knowledge and they never push you beyond your limits unless you ask them to. Each coach has a different background so if you have a highly specific question about anything, one of the coaches ought to be able to answer it.Tim, the owner, teaches some of the classes and he's both very empathetic and helpful. Stand up dude!Overall, no complaints. I love coming here and I'll be coming here for years to come.”

“For those debating between Planet Fitness or Crunch down the street I HIGHLY recommend Planet Fitness. PF has newer eqpt. They keep it way cleaner. Staff is always friendly and professional. Plenty parking. List goes on. Contrast that with Crunch in DB whose eqpt is ancient with tons of out of order signs. The hydro massage rarely works and when it does work it smells like homeless people have been sleeping on it. Their manager David if you complain about the smell or broken eqpt is condescending and rude. The filter for the fountain hasn't been changed in over 2 years. And parking is awful. So yes 100 percent recommend Planet Fitness if you want a variety of equipment, a clean safe environment and friendly professional staff and managers. I think crunch thinks they are still the only gym in town!?”

“I came to this gym as a complete newbie to structured exercise and after four months of going and working with a trainer there, I feel much more confident in myself, my body's abilities, and so much stronger!! It's been so satisfying watching myself be able to lift more and more over the weeks.Everyone I've met at the gym has been so kind and helpful, and it's clearly a community of very friendly people. The owner Julie is super responsive and very helpful with scheduling, and my trainer Jesus was the perfect fit for what I needed! I really liked that we were able to have a very non-judgmental and lighthearted approach to learning the lifts while still being serious about getting things right. It was challenging but in a very fun way. Overall, if you're thinking about learning strength training or maybe getting into powerlifting I would highly recommend this gym! The setup is fantastic, and you could not ask for a nicer bunch of people.”
