“Dresses are pretty affordable for wedding dresses and they have 20 dressing rooms! I feel like their style is more poofy and lacy versus simple and flowy. There were some cute ones though! Pretty easy to make a reservation as well and you'd be surprised how fast the hour goes by. People are very friendly and helpful! You can bring more than two people but you only get two chairs.”

“I love this store! I've been there to buy shoes twice and also dropped by for a community run they do every Sunday. Each time I've been here, the customer experience has been beyond wonderful. Ellis helped walk me through many shoe options best fit for my needs on both occasions and helpfully explained the differences between the shoes, what they do, and guided me through the decision making. At one point I was staring at the nutrition shelf since I'm new to them and the crew at Renegade let me take them home to try! I really did appreciate that since I was so clearly lost. Will definitely be back and continue to return for all my future shoe endeavors.”

“I started playing tennis rather late in life. My patient and supportive friend Mariko coached me from the ground up until I could (somewhat) competently play with others. Recently she told me I was ready to graduate beyond my beginners racquet. This day felt momentous. I probably should've noted it down in my diary. (Reader: I did not, but it was sometime late last summer.) Mariko sorted everything related to my second tennis racquet by calling Tom at Montclair Sports. All I had to do was show up and pay for it. Others are unlikely to receive this level of service, but rest assured that even if you don't have a Mariko in your life, Tom will get you everything you need to get on the court. When I'm ready for my next racquet, I'll be coming back to Tom.”

“I rarely write a review about anything. I think the only other time I've been on Yelp was to complain about a car dealership pre-Covid. This time it's to praise the quality of the shoes The Walk Shop offers. I have many shoes from your store and I'm ALWAYS pleased! Two days ago, I realized I have a trip coming up and needed a new pair of comfortable black, semi-dress shoes. The only store I even considered going to was The Walk Shop! Once I arrived, in less than 10 minutes, I selected several different options, tried them on in my size, made a decision and was done with my purchase. Turns out I needed them for an event yesterday, too, and ended up having to do ALOT of unexpected walking and tons of going up and down stairs. NO PROBLEM!! My legs weren't even tired and I'm almost 67 years old! The right shoes make ALL the difference! And I swear that your prices have barely increased in the last few years. Even if I'd paid more, they are worth every penny! A GREAT value for an excellent look and comfort! I'll be back!”

“James, thank you so much for helping me select the right shoes for my feet. I was looking for pickle ball and walking shoes. I had spent a couple hours the day before at Sports Basement trying on multiple pairs of shoes, many of which were on sale. I left overwhelmed because nothing seemed to fit well, and no one from the floor staff came over to check in or offer any advice. The first thing James did was scan and measure my feet. I don't think my feet had been measured since I was a kid, and honestly it was a really nice feeling. Well, it turns out that all this time, I had been wearing shoes that were both too small and too narrow for me. I knew my feet had spread after pregnancy. I just did not realize how much. Also, I had developed asymmetric bunions. James gave me a couple pairs to try on. They were so much bigger and bulkier than what I was used to, but I could tell they fit my feet better. I bought two pairs (with the 2nd pair discounted). I just spent a couple of hours walking around in the pickle ball shoes and I am shocked at how comfortable they are. Clearly, I have not been wearing the right shoes all this time. James, you have earned a loyal customer with your A+ service. You were so helpful, patient and knowledgable. And you were able to help me while also juggling 5 other customers who came into the store while I was there! Thank you again!”

Prices are still pretty high but it's Columbia, what do you expect. If you really look deep, you could find nicely priced items. “Stop here every time we are in the city. It's like a museum of artfully designed shoes and boots, but you can actually purchase them (if you've saved your $$ or are well off. Artistry comes at a price. But luckily they often have sales also, so best to keep tabs if you've got your eye on something. I've had a Fluevog collection going for a few years now and can't quit them even though some of them aren't that comfortable- but hell, not many shoes are. And with as gorgeous as these are, the slight pain isn't too much of a deterrent. This is the brand that leads the way for others to be bold and badass. Love love love.”
