They also offer body mapping and consultation, which has helped me orient my workout and weight loss goals. “I joined Orangetheory Berkeley in Oct 2022 and have been a regular since. As I’m older, I wasn’t sure initially if this would be a good fit. I discovered all ages are welcome! I like the inclusive, friendly, helpful vibe from the manager Van, to the front desk staff, to the coaches. The coaches also invite us to let them know anytime if we need adjustments to any part of the workout. We are invited to both challenge and pace ourselves. While all the coaches I’ve experienced are good, my current favorite classes are coached by Jazon and Noah.”
“Such a great OTF location! The space is kept super clean and there’s a good amount of room in the studio compared to others in the city. The AC is always blasting, which I love during a sweaty workout! Coach Molly and Coach Brice are my favorites for the afternoon classes - they bring such good energy and push me just enough. I also appreciate that they both offer modifications for the floor exercises to make them accessible to all. The front desk staff, especially Emma and Lucia are super friendly and are building a great community at the studio. I finally feel like I’ve connected to SF since joining this studio last fall. The workout is always going to be great, but this studio really maximizes the experience.”

The gym is clean, has friendly staff, and has a great selection of weightlifting equipment. The main draw though is the pod reservations! A lot of gyms in the city are super crowded in the morning and evening, so it is super nice to be able to reserve a pod/rack for yourself at The Yard! I never had a trouble getting a reservation, even during peak hours in the morning. It was great to be able to zone in and have a good workout without having to stress about waiting for equipment.”

She is also very good at adjusting routines to stave off workout boredom and to factor in how my body feels on any given day. Shirley the owner and all of the staff are welcoming and encouraging. It’s a small operation but has all that you need if you are serious about your fitness goals. I was referred by a friend, and I have since referred another friend who works with Sachiko who is also terrific. I am a tough grader but I highly recommend RGym.”

Nikki, Anais, and Liz do a great job of introducing each exercise, and it feels like there's a good amount of personal attention even when the classes are larger. The coaches make sure you feel comfortable with the movements and have the proper form, and help adjust workouts for any injuries. The equipment is really nice and the gym is spacious, so I enjoy coming here to exercise. I like that the workouts are published in advance so I know what I'm getting into, and I also really appreciate that they have multiple membership options, all transparently priced on their website. Joining Flagship was an excellent decision, and I'm looking forward to continuing my fitness journey with them!”
“I started seeing Jay for sports massages after sustaining some gym injuries that left me with chronic pain. He is excellent at what he does and I like that his approach addressed the full body. After hearing about my struggle with back pain when lifting he offered to give me tips on my form and did an incredible stretch session that honestly left me feeling 2 inches taller! The coaches are always very encouraging- they will get to know you personally, correct your form, and celebrate your progress. The front desk staff are also very friendly- they make me feel welcomed, keep me updated on events and challenges, and help me when I have questions about my membership & devices.
The workouts are fun & effective and the template is different every day, so you always feel challenged. I have been able to run faster, train for longer distances, recover faster, and lift heavier. OTF also improves my mental health and I feel happy coming here every day.”

Classes are small and there’s a friendly and communal feel with people who want to see both themselves and others grow and succeed. I’m definitely at a beginner level when it comes to this kind of training but it hasn’t felt like an impediment. Fabien is a phenomenal and kind instructor, he gives solid individual guidance (classes are small enough for that) as well as encouragement and correction when I’m struggling with form, and he can clearly identify which parts of my body need extra strengthening. He checks in on me in between classes giving tips for at home exercises, stretches and nutrition as he sees health holistically in terms of body, mind and spirit. If you’re looking for a personal trainer he does that too and no doubt he’s a great one. Overall Ownitrx is just a really encouraging atmosphere for getting healthy and I’m so glad I joined. I feel great after every class. If you’re on the fence, don’t wait, or at least come do some trial classes and see what I mean!”
