Drummond’s Pet Grooming
887 A Island Dr, AlamedaI've been bringing my samoyed to Nicolas for over a year now. If anyone knows samoyeds, they are NOT easy to groom and come with multiple conditions. Not only does Nicolas make my boy looking more stellar than he already does, but he's very informed about the needs of different breeds. This is essential for owners like myself who have dogs with a thousand different rules for what you can and can't do. Either way, I appreciate Nicolas's work and professionalism. He always gets the job done. Can't recommend his services enough. For sure we will be bringing our boy here as long as we can!

Providence Veterinary Hospital
2304 Pacific Ave, AlamedaI’ve been here twice and I’ve had great experiences both times. The vets do a thorough job of checking out my animal, take time to listen to what I say, and don’t rush through anything. I leave here, confident that my pet was examined thoroughly and with clear advice from the vets, no uncertainty about what I was actually told or what happens next.

Marina Village Veterinary
943 Marina Village Pkwy, AlamedaThe vets & the staff are very sensitive and were incredibly kind and accommodating when my late dog was very sick, even when things got a little gross. They also gave so many treats & cuddles to my puppy during vaccinations that she truly loves going to the vet, even after seeing her brother so sick there. They seem a little pricey but it’s worth it to me.

Pet Sitting & Training

Doggy Doggy at Kitshouse
2058 San Jose Ave, AlamedaMy dog Chewy (a Yorkie) has been coming here every day for a few years. I work long hours away from home, and it gives me joy to know he’s living a great life during the day. He gets cuddles, walks, attention, and he gets to explore Kit’s beautiful garden. The prices are competitive, too.

Dogs True Dream
2222 Lincoln Ave, AlamedaMaya's team is amazing! The staff really care about your fur babies and put their best interest first. Appa, my shiba inu is a selective dog and only likes a handful of dogs... But she's so excited when she gets picked up from daycare, she won't even turn around or notice us saying bye! That's phenomenal considering she doesn't care about dogs outside of daycare. So happy to have found this gem where Appa can thrive and socialize in a safe environment. Much love, Sherry

C'Era Una Volta Kitchen & Catering
Inside Sofive Soccer Club Along Alameda Spirits Alley, 800 W Tower Ave, AlamedaIf I could give C'Era Una Volta Kitchen & Catering 10 stars, I would without hesitation! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with the kind of warmth and hospitality that only a true Italian gentleman like Rudy, the owner, can provide. Meeting Rudy was a highlight in itself—he's not just passionate about his craft, but also genuinely cares about his customers' experience.
But let’s talk about the food because it’s nothing short of spectacular. I put my trust in Rudy and let him choose my lunch, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He crafted a salad with toast points
that were both fresh and flavorful with fresh Mozzarella and tomatoes with a balsamic dressing that was amazing, setting the stage for the main event: ravioli with a meat sauce that was simply out of this world. Every bite was a testament to Rudy’s dedication to authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine.
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the food—oh, the food! Rudy is an absolute gem, and his restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food and an even greater dining experience. This place is an instant favorite, and I can't wait to return! It's a small space for dining in but worth the out-of-the-box experience.

Main Squeeze
2300 Central Ave, AlamedaI was feeling a bit under the weather so I was looking to drink something to boost my immune system. It was my first time here. The cashier took and made my orders. She was soft spoken and seemed kind of friendly? I got the Heart Beet, Maca Mama, and a Tumeric Wellness shot. All three were good and taste as expected. Inside the shop appears to be clean and well kept/organized. Everything in the menu is a bit expensive but hopefully the shop uses only top notch ingredients. I'd come back again to try other items should i be in the area.

Forbidden Island
1304 Lincoln Ave, AlamedaFelt like I just walked into the Regal Beagle with Jack Tripper. Cool vibe. Intimidating Top Shelf. With that said, drinks are not cheap. The bar nosh selection was very limited. Actual chicken wings would have been nice. Drinks were creative and the servers and manager/owner-looking guy was helpful in making suggestions. My only ding was that mgr/owner guy, in my opinion, became a little too comfortable with us and seemed to forget the proprietor/consumer relationship. I’ll leave it at that. Would I return? 7/10 chance.

Speisekammer
2424 Lincoln Ave, AlamedaEs ist ein lecker Deutsches Restaurant auf Alameda! (My German may be shaky) But this is truly a stable establishment. We look forward to Oktoberfest every late September, but the Bier flows perfectly all year round. I highly recommend the dunkel. Some other menu items that stand out are the German potato salad, the schnitzel, Spätzle, and Wurst. Service has always been personal and friendly.
