Providence Veterinary Hospital
2304 Pacific Ave, AlamedaI’ve been here twice and I’ve had great experiences both times. The vets do a thorough job of checking out my animal, take time to listen to what I say, and don’t rush through anything. I leave here, confident that my pet was examined thoroughly and with clear advice from the vets, no uncertainty about what I was actually told or what happens next.

Marina Village Veterinary
943 Marina Village Pkwy, AlamedaThe vets & the staff are very sensitive and were incredibly kind and accommodating when my late dog was very sick, even when things got a little gross. They also gave so many treats & cuddles to my puppy during vaccinations that she truly loves going to the vet, even after seeing her brother so sick there. They seem a little pricey but it’s worth it to me.

Pet Sitting & Training
Doggy Doggy at Kitshouse
2058 San Jose Ave, AlamedaMy dog Chewy (a Yorkie) has been coming here every day for a few years. I work long hours away from home, and it gives me joy to know he’s living a great life during the day. He gets cuddles, walks, attention, and he gets to explore Kit’s beautiful garden. The prices are competitive, too.

Asena
2508 Santa Clara Ave, AlamedaWe were seated outside, I loved the string lights, the scenery was really nice. The service was amazing, the server and other staff frequently checked in with us. The food was really good! We started with Mussels for our appetizer. It was swimming in a delicious cream sauce, very flavorful and comforting. Highly recommend dipping the complementary bread in the sauce! For entrees, we had Paella and Ribeye! The Paella was packed with seafood flavor. Loved every bite of it. The ribeye was cooked to medium rare perfection. Solid experience overall, definitely coming back!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the knowledgeable staff, setting the tone for a memorable evening ahead. The ambiance of the tasting room was inviting and elegant, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

Lazybird Coffee
930 Central Ave, AlamedaVisited Lazybird on a Saturday afternoon. It's a casual and cute space. Street parking was easy to find on Weber Street. Service was sufficient. Ordered an iced mocha with nonfat milk, and a griddled cheese panini, all for takeout. There was no wait to order, but it took a little long till my food and beverage was ready, considering there were no other customers in the cafe while I was there. But it was worth the wait. The iced mocha was smooth and delicious, a nice chocolatey flavor, and the sandwich was super cheesy, three types of cheese (cheddar, smoked gouda, and mozzarella) melted together into a thick gooey layer, and the sourdough had a nice crunch, it was yummy!

COFFEE CULTURES
1926 Park St, AlamedaWe have been coming here since the opening either on the way somewhere or on the way back or just because. Great coffee, not the hipster crap. My partner usually gets the iced coffee and I go for the drip. A good selection of juices, sparkling prebiotic drinks and wine. Also, fruit cups, soft serve, yogurt and pastries. Staff is friendly. Outside patio and dog accommodating. For the computer crowd "working from home", lots of outlets. The only downside is parking sucks.

Dashe Cellars
1951 Monarch Street Hangar 25, AlamedaBeautiful winery, beautiful views, great service! Went there on a hot Saturday afternoon and it was great because you could feel the sea breeze and there was plenty of shade. We were able to easily make a reservation online the morning of our tasting. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated outside right away. They do specialize in Zinfandel's so if that's not what you like, this may not be for you. I mainly drink cabs and Chardonnay but I enjoyed many of the Zins being offered. I will be back!

C'Era Una Volta Kitchen & Catering
Inside Sofive Soccer Club Along Alameda Spirits Alley, 800 W Tower Ave, AlamedaIf I could give C'Era Una Volta Kitchen & Catering 10 stars, I would without hesitation! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with the kind of warmth and hospitality that only a true Italian gentleman like Rudy, the owner, can provide. Meeting Rudy was a highlight in itself—he's not just passionate about his craft, but also genuinely cares about his customers' experience.
But let’s talk about the food because it’s nothing short of spectacular. I put my trust in Rudy and let him choose my lunch, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He crafted a salad with toast points
that were both fresh and flavorful with fresh Mozzarella and tomatoes with a balsamic dressing that was amazing, setting the stage for the main event: ravioli with a meat sauce that was simply out of this world. Every bite was a testament to Rudy’s dedication to authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine.
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the food—oh, the food! Rudy is an absolute gem, and his restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food and an even greater dining experience. This place is an instant favorite, and I can't wait to return! It's a small space for dining in but worth the out-of-the-box experience.

Mosley's Cafe
2099 Grand St, AlamedaThe people here are so friendly and kind. Such a bubbly personality! I had the cold brew cappuccino and my friend had the Carmel latte, he had no complaints about his. I wish my cold brew was just a bit stronger! Usually I get a buzz after drinking 1/3 of any cold brew. This one didn't quite kick. Had the maple bacon focaccia, it was great. Sweet and savory, the focaccia was so soft/moist. Literally almost like a donut! I was happy to try this-- thank goodness I shared! It was a huge piece! Ordered a croissant sandwich bacon and ham, and the BLT was ordered. Solid food, nothing spectacular but nothing was amiss! I had a great time considering the weather, staff, and how easy it was to find parking! I highly recommend outdoor seating.

VJ's Sports Bar X Pizza
901 Marina Village Pkwy, AlamedaI went there on a late Saturday night and was taken aback by how busy it was. We ordered two large pizzas with various toppings, along with some wings and seltzers, all at a surprisingly affordable price. The pizza and wings were absolutely delicious! The cashier was attentive and helpful, which added to the experience. However, we were disappointed to find the tables in a messy state and ended up having to clean them ourselves. Overall, it was a great meal, but the cleanliness could use some attention.
