“We had the best experience at School of Bark!! Our dog had never been boarded before and we had to leave him for a week. It was extremely stressful for him and he got sick. He was treated with much love and concern. They kept in contact with me, switched his diet, gave him loving, and sent me pictures. I was nervous about leaving him for a week, and the owner, Cathy was wonderful! The staff took such great care of him. Remy worried himself sick and I was kept informed. Cathy made sure he was adjusting. I highly recommend School of Bark! Remy even had a bath. I loved that they cared about Remy like he was their own!”

“Super affordable dog grooming. Sometimes it’s hard to find places that will take pit bulls and pit bull mixes but I’ve never had a problem at Happy Paws. The staff are kind, efficient, fast, and my dogs end up coming home smelling fresh with the cutest little bandannas. Won’t take our pets anywhere else!”

“I went here in search of a new dog food when my shepherd started itching very bad after several ingredient changes to his current food. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on the products they carry or could order and had great suggestions for a new alternative. Someone even went and printed the ingredient list of my current dog food so we could look it over, as they didn’t carry that brand. I left with a new brand that my pups love and great ideas from the staff!”
“The staff are always friendly, they have special ordered food from Stella and Chewy for me, have a LOT of varieties of Fussie Cat, (which is perfect for my very particular cat), and carry multiple varieties of the Himalayan churro chew that my dog loves. (And chicken hearts sourced from a local butcher!)
In addition, I've never felt belittled with my choices. The staff will offer helpful input, but were also respectful when I explained why I made the decision to feed my pets what I do. I have been shamed in other shops for not feeding grain-free, but not here. (My cat can't have peas and is a food thief, so I have to avoid peas in the dog food as well)
The first few times I went there with my dog I thought the staff just really loved her because she was special. (I have a very friendly Shiba Inu) Now that I've seen other dogs in the store, it's obvious that the staff are all there because they REALLY love dogs, and they treat every dog that comes in as if it was the best dog in the world!
My only complaint is a small one. I usually go to Hales Corners location, but if I have to run to Target, I'll pop in the Franklin location and because they are set up completely different, I always have to ask where things are. (A very minor issue, because the staff are really nice and helpful)”
“Friendly staff, tons of fish and other aquatic animals. All the tanks were clean, fish looked healthy. Went home with two Narite snails that are doing good and looking very healthy.”
“This store is beautiful, and the customer service is amazing. We happened to find it today when googling pet stores in the area. My daughters loved seeing all of the pets, and I loved shopping for both garden and pet items in one place. If you like either plants or animals, you should definitely stop in and shop! You won’t be disappointed!”
“The one in Waukesha has a better layout to it but otherwise staff is helpful and nice. Prices are a bit higher than big box stores but they have a lot of items that they don't and most pets need.”
“I went in today and talked to the very educated owner, Amy, that spent a long time explaining to me the benefits of switching to Fromm dog food and adding in raw food and raw goats milk and helped me with concerns over my dog having allergies. My dog didnt want to eat his other dog food any more after being put on Apoquel, which is known for causing anorexia. I pulled him off the Apoquel after only 2 weeks and made the switch to Fromm Gold and my dog was licking the bag before i even got it into his bowl. He gobbled it right up and loved the raw goats milk too. Also starting him on Solutions Allergeez powder, which he loves mixed in with the goats milk. Amy was so patient in explaining everything to me and super knowledgeable and helped we work with my budget. The Fromm Gold is actually a better deal over his Taste of the Wild and you get the 13th bag free. I will be a regular customer here and leave the big corporate pet shops.”

“I have been a customer of Preppy Pups since 2020, and have adopted 3 puppies from them, and I am sure these wont be my last! The store is always clean, and the pups are in great health. They really care for their animals and it shows in the quality of their animals and health. The puppies are bright eyed and well socialized. “Recently I I had to put my dog (Molly) in the hands of the WHS. Molly and I have been together for 8 years she has hepled me through some hard times she was given to me be cause her owner didn't want her. She has always had to protect herself from harm so she became a protector for me she was stubborn and bossy. I loved her she was my baby, When she got sick I couldn't bare to see her suffer so I handed her over to WHS. What I liked most is the young lady that did the intake understood how much pain it caused me to hand her over she did her best to make us feel better about this really hard decision we were making. I love Molly and if they were able to save her and I never see her again I would be happy with knowing she was no longer suffering.”
“I love this cute little “barkery” for my dogs treats! Jennie and her team are very friendly and outgoing. Her treats are definitely made with love. Ingredients are clean with no fillers. She also had cute miscellaneous items in the store from doggy clothes, socks, toys, and other treats. Fromm is carried in this store to those of you that use this brand. I’m glad this store is a part of the Greendale community!”
“My Aqueon Tank light was blinking and wouldn't stop. After a long search on the web for a fix, I finally resigned myself to buying a new costly aquarium hood with light. Then I spotted Central Garden and Pet. I made a phone call, the problem was immediately diagnosed as a faulty transformer power cord, I was given the part number, paid less than $11.00 over the phone and had the problem fixed when UPS delivered it the next day! Great job Central Garden and Pet!”

I have rarely picked up Remy from a haircut thinking that he looks cute, but Kady performed a miracle!
Not only did she shape his face adorably, but despite some slightly matted areas, she didn’t shave him down to the skin, and kept him looking relatively fluffy and cute!

“I love taking my dog coco here, there quick with everything and the dogs looks amazing, no matter how your dog acts, and I'm not doing this just to get free treats for my dog, I'm doing this because it's true, and how he can babysit your dog is outstandingly good, so I have to give this a 5 stars, because in my opinion this is a good place to take your dog, I just don't like how expensive most stuff is but overall love taking my dog here!”
