“Cute little place on Atwood. Nice flights and wines to choose from. Seating a bit tight with loud (but happy!) customers on a busy, sunny Saturday, so friend & I relocated to the back bottle area. Wait staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return. Hoping to sit outside when warmer!”
“Lots of new NA beers, including Blue Moon, 5 different ones from Athletic Brewery, and other. See the photo for the selection in Brookfield, WI. Madison and Brookfield seem to add more every month or two.”
“We love Square and all of the people who work there. They’re always so kind and helpful in answering questions and choosing the right wine for the occasion. Square has been our go-to wine shop since 2018/19. Their new(er) shop is beautiful and set up well for perusing the bottles or having a glass of wine with friends. I love their wine club also. Andrea curates them thoughtfully, including bottles that are tried and true while peppering in fun finds as well.”
“Came to visit from out of state. This place is awesome! It seemed like there were hundreds of beers to choose from. They provide an opportunity to try anything you can think of. Multiple size options too. Highly recommended.”
“I've never seen so many helpful people at a liquor store in my whole life. I was looking for some N/A options and they had a great selection. Everyone was super friendly.”
“Brennan's Market was a great grocery market to walk to to grab some Wisconsin local options. They have a great selection of beer, wine, cheese, and some deli options and sandwiches. Lots of parking and friendly staff.”
“Great Selections for all things in Adult Beverages. Wines, mixes, whiskeys, scotch, you name it.
Best Ice on the planet, too. Heed the warning though; don't throw the bag on the floor to break it up, because it WILL break. 'Nough said.
Deb and all the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and always willing to assist.
Keep up the great work!”
“Best small liquor store in Madison. I would almost call this a "craft" liquor store, because they could definitely help you put together an awesome cocktail. The staff and especially the manager, Dylan, is beyond reputable and trustable in his knowledge of wines, liquors etc”
“Saw a post on Facebook about these guys having something hard to find at a good price. I had never been there before, but messaged them to see if they had any left and without hesitation they held a bottle for me. Their display of it was immediately inside the front door. No hiding, no games, nice staff, great pricing. I’ll be back.”
“Amazing selection of spirits from all around the world. I was initially skeptical because they are located in collegetown, but their selection is truly impressive. Various types of beers, wines from various places (Georgia, Argentina, Europe, and more), and even Lebanese Arak.”
“Very good to great selection, especially for beer. Slightly smaller. more intimate, and lower volume version of the store hear Michaels Custard ... depending on who's working, knowledge may or may-not be better. Really NEED a "4.5" option!! ... Gave the other location "5" for slightly better selection!”
“This was my first time at this store and I must say it was very enjoyable. The staff (especially Billy) were all very helpful and knowledgeable of their products. I was provided samples of anything I desired and given other samples to compare against the choices I was interested in.Not only do they have oils and vinegars, but they also carry a huge assortment of liquor and whiskey. Additionally, they offer dinner events and cooking classes to experience the uses of many of the products they carry.Although this was a first time visit, there will be many more in the future.”

711 S Gammon Rd, Madison“Best prices around on the West side of Madison. The only price competition in my driving world is Costco in Middleton. Sometimes the pumps are so busy that customers are lined up trying to guess which one will open first, but that wait is worth it.
Discover cards are the only charge cards accepted. Debit cards are accepted.”
“I was truly impressed- it was like a museum! Oh, so many colorful offerings and varieties on site. I stopped on a humbug, but if im in the area this will definitely be my go-to...”
“Found a piece of holiday decor I love tonight. Very difficult to find, but there it was! Also first time I’ve found properly made fresh cherry turnovers in forever! Thank you!”
“I always enjoy my interactions with the staff. They are patient, friendly, and willing to talk. I've received and made great recommendations over the years. The willingness to incorporate local tastes while still cultivating their own selection is what makes Star a neighborhood gem.”
“Works, while open. Decent selection, funky place. WI liquor stores close at 9pm. No more sales after that, unless you hit one of the many student watering holes.”
“Went here for some New Glarus Spotted Cow and the owner help me cut the 12 pack in half with a straight razor so I can give a gentleman’s six pack to two of my friends. Whenever I come back to Madison, I will come here for all my alcohol needs! Thanks so much!”
“Since it's small it's a quick go in and go out. I usually come in at least once a week. Ive always liked whichever cashier served me, always friendly. I enjoy the "banter" I think it gives the place some personality, but I'm pretty laid back, and of course I know that 8:45pm rush can be stressful for you all! Anyways just keep doing what you are doing.”
“I have a built a relationship with the owner since they first opened and he has always been kind to help me out finding rare products. I don’t get mad if I am not able to get rare stuff that gets in since he has plenty of other loyal customers to help out.I have been in the store and have watched bourbon hunters ask for Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, etc. with no luck and just leave. That is not the way to do it. People can go to Woodman’s, Total Wine, other grocery stores for their goods if they want something cheaper, but it pays to support local stores especially if you’re on the hunt for rare bourbon.Don’t be mad that you didn’t get a bottle of Blanton’s because you stop in the store and ask for it and then leave immediately.”
“Nice little neighborhood liquor store. The shelves are a little hit or miss for liquor. They do have some decent bottles behind the counter for reasonable prices though,”
“Rocky's has been around since I was a kid. I am in my early 40's now. I love this place, always have, always will! Keep up the great work, and dont listen to the haters on here.”

“I'm thankful for Woodman's 24/7 service of operation. Multi cultural produce supermarket. Especially Hmong food; rice, pho, fish sauce, siratcha, and egg roll wrappers. My son loves their sushi deli! Very fresh vegetables.”
“Such a great spot for any time of day. Just moved in across the street and this place has everything.... great, fresh food, awesome options for beer and seltzers.... tampons..... cold brew bottled and on tap. And the employees are awesome too, always so nice and friendly. 100000/10”
“Steve's always seems to have those things you can't get just anywhere. They also have great service whether it's helping make a decision or carrying things to your car.”
