“Great liquor store with a very good selection. They have a number of hard to find bottles.Prices are reasonable. For instance, the bottle of Buffalo Trace was listed at $39.99. That’s not the worst price I’ve seen, but it is about 50% over MSRP. If you’re a fan of BT, then you won’t mind paying a premium for availability.”

“This is one of the best liquor stores in the Madison area. I almost hate to rate this and give away a hidden treasure.The liquor selections are some of the best that I’ve seen. They have an extensive beer selection as well as plenty of wine options.The store picks for alcohol are very good. they have some higher proof single barrel options that other stores would fight to have in their inventory.They also have the most extensive collection of mini bottles that I’ve seen in person. “Pretty much wide range international liquor and spirits selection. Once i found Tekirdag gold series Turkish Raki, but it ran out fast. Due to supplier’s in short of product they don’t carry any more. I wish they could get it soon”

“We live in Virginia Wine Country and travel for wine all the time. Wasn't expecting anything along those lines for Madison. Was thinking more beer with cheese. But here we were mere steps from the Capitol building in an oasis for wine. Square Wine is an amazing stop for wine lovers to have great wine at the bar or buy retail and hang out with fellow wine loving customers and staff. Rarely do you get high quality experience combined with a non pretentious atmosphere, but the Square Wine team has it nailed. We will be back for sure the next time we are in town.”

“First of all!!! I have been coming here for over 15 years!! The owner is so personable and has friendly, respectful & knowledgeable staff. I am originally from Puerto Rico-and Long story short during Christmas 2021this store was the only liquor store where I was able to find my favorite coconut rum called Croqito! This liquor is only comes around Christmas time and New Years. With this crazy pandemic it was amazing to find this here in Middleton! Support Local!”

The employees here were so helpful and kind, two different employees helped me carry everything out to my car, bring the out the ice, and load it into my car. “What can I say? This is THE can/bottle and tap shop in Madison. All of the staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The beers are ever rotating and they even get rare offerings from breweries all over the country. Their outdoor patios (front and back) are a plus to enjoy a beer al fresco. Bonus: the bar is dog friendly and well-behaved pups are encouraged to tag along, so no stressing about leaving Fido at home when you want a beer in the heat of summer or the dead of winter.”

“This was my first time at this store and I must say it was very enjoyable. The staff (especially Billy) were all very helpful and knowledgeable of their products. I was provided samples of anything I desired and given other samples to compare against the choices I was interested in.Not only do they have oils and vinegars, but they also carry a huge assortment of liquor and whiskey. Additionally, they offer dinner events and cooking classes to experience the uses of many of the products they carry.Although this was a first time visit, there will be many more in the future.”

“I have a built a relationship with the owner since they first opened and he has always been kind to help me out finding rare products. I don’t get mad if I am not able to get rare stuff that gets in since he has plenty of other loyal customers to help out.I have been in the store and have watched bourbon hunters ask for Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, etc. with no luck and just leave. That is not the way to do it. People can go to Woodman’s, Total Wine, other grocery stores for their goods if they want something cheaper, but it pays to support local stores especially if you’re on the hunt for rare bourbon.Don’t be mad that you didn’t get a bottle of Blanton’s because you stop in the store and ask for it and then leave immediately.”
“I recommended has the cheapest gas station in the west. Some people may feel different but it’s also really convenient. There’s a grocery store next to the gas station. That’s just convenient honestly. And it’s a pretty safe area.”

“Great selection and generally good prices to within a dollar or two for most things relative to the cheapest price you'll find in Dane County. Very convenient if you live anywhere in Waunakee! They also carry a few rarer things that no other local liquor stores carry.”
