“As a former kid of Legacy Academy, i thought I’d give my two cents. Yes, it can be dirty and smelly in the play area, but that’s to be expected in a place where kids are free to run around and play and get sweaty as they please. I didn’t really mind it much when i was younger, all i was paying attention to was what thing i should play on next, but it can be hard to ignore if you’re not a kid playing around. Basically, don’t expect it to be spotless. With how many kids play in Legacy Academy daily, no wonder it smells like gym socks sometimes. That’s what happens when you let a bunch of kids loose to go play in a place like this ? they get sweaty and stinky. I do remember that as dirty as it did get sometimes, it would always be cleaned. Maybe not right away, but by my next visit whatever mess was there last time had been completely cleaned. If you’re really concerned about germs, maybe just bring some hand sanitizer for after your party! (and of course wash hands!)”

“We had our wedding here 11/5/2022 and we could not be any more pleased with how everything turned out! We didn’t have the best weather but the fact they have the main area plus the sunroom/patio area allowed us to have an indoor ceremony space separate from our dinner area which was a key factor for us while looking for a venue. “We held our wedding reception at The Madison Club and we highly recommend it to other couples! We loved the classic, timeless, and memorable look and feel of the Club itself, central location downtown, and found it especially beneficial that they offered so many wedding services. From catering (cake included in our selected package), beverages, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, day-of getting ready spaces, and an on-site event coordinator. This was very important to us as we didn't want to have even more vendors to coordinate with, and the Club being a "one stop shop" was incredibly helpful in simplifying our planning. They have so many options to choose from so you can offer more classic wedding meals or something a little more adventurous (which we did and loved). The food is truly delicious! They also provide a list of vendors recommended by the Club and we were able to work with a few of them for our day. Alex, our event coordinator, was so responsive, patient, and accommodating throughout our planning process which entailed many emails, questions, and changes :) He was amazing to work with! We were so pleased with how everything turned out and we will cherish the memories made at The Madison Club forever.”

“One of my favorite venues, they have incredible lighting for photographers to get very well lit shots. They have seating sections so you can sit and sip on a drink, or a very large dance floor so you can be up and close to the performance.”

“Enjoyed the scampi, although it was a little spicier than expected. The chicken parm was just fair. The chicken was mostly breading and dry, there wasn't enough sauce, and the noodles were very dense and chewy. My husband and I split both the dishes we ordered and we both only took a few bites of the chicken parm and had the rest boxed up. Not sure we'll get back to it, maybe we'll add more sauce at home and try it again. Service was great. We said that we planned to share our dishes and everything came up "pre-split," with no added charge. We very much enjoyed the complimentary (special occasion) cheesecake!”

“This place is a little gem in the burgeoning Capitol East district (aka East Rail Corridor) where ugly, worn-out industrial buildings and loading docks have given way to hip new residential towers, hotels, restaurants, bars, a great life music venue, a historic outdoor athletic field, and a startup incubator.Really flavorful vegetarian and vegan dishes..in a cool old building...with a great outdoor courtyard...in a very hip part of Madison. Cocktails were superb, appetizers were super yummy, and vegetarian eggs were really tasty and satisfying.The other cool thing is that it shares space with a great little bar with quiet, intimate seating, and a fantastic coffee shop.Parking: Parking can be hard to find when there are concerts down the block or an event at the athletic field (both within a block) but you can usually find some spots on the sides streets to either side of the main corridor (E. Washington Ave.)”

“My group travel company, sewgreat tours, stayed last weekend at the hotel. I have been in business for 30 years and this is the best welcome we have ever had; they even brought out the red carpet. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are big, the beds are so comfortable, breakfasts we're great and different everyday. They have golf clubs for their putting green and basketballs for their basketball court. The staff is very accommodating. The hotel is next to a hyvee grocery and a target.”
