“Dr. Valenta and Adam are considerate of you, your pet and necessary diagnostics. We are able to make appointments within 1-2 days when needed and they take the time to consider which diagnostics are necessary. We appreciate their whole animal approach, they look at the pet in its entirety not just the current issue. In addition, Dr. Valenta makes follow up phone calls to check on your pet, reminder cards are sent for routine vaccination and exams. The photo shows a cut pad on our dog, Dr Valenta assessed and gave antibiotics but refrained from stitches. He was correct, the wound healed in snout 10 days.”

“We have been going to Sauk Point for more than 10 years and have brought a variety of pets! We are so grateful for the outstanding care we have received over the years. The doctors and staff are incredibly knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I always feel that they are taking time to listen to my concerns and provide thorough and careful exams on our beloved pets. I highly recommend this vet office if you want the absolute best care for your animals!”

“Have taken my animals here for the past 4 years. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. You can also usually see an animal or two up for adoption. I would highly recommend them, and they just had a renovation :)”

“I haven't been able to cage my cat for transport to a vet for almost 9 years. I was very concerned about her interaction with the staff, as she can be very anxious and avoidant. All of the staff was so calm and patient. They performed the exam on the floor in a dimmed space under a bench so my cat would be more comfortable! They answered all of my questions and gave options for solutions. I honestly almost cried - as I thought a vet visit might never be a possibility for this cat. Excellent experience.”

“We have been taking our dog Prescott to True Vet for the last 6 years since he was a puppy! I should really put a review in every time I go. Today was one of the biggest snowstorms so far this year, and they were able to squeeze us in for a quick visit to treat our dog’s ear infection. The team at True Vet are good listeners, they have patience, and they really take the time to educate. I have nothing but good things to say. We live close by and our dog always pulls to go there and have a visit! Dr. Sarah is seriously amazing, we have had the most experience with her, and are happy whenever she gets to work with us. You guys rock!!”

“Great experience! We called to get our 3 year old pup into the vet for the first time, from the first phone call staff were super sweet and friendly and didn’t mind all my questions! They were able to get us in quickly. The appointment itself was just as smooth, they were able to assist us in every thing we needed, and even found an ear infection we didn’t even know our sweet boy had!
Thanks Foxridge for keeping our fur babies happy and healthy!”

“I’ve been taking my cats to see Dr. Kay and Dr. Hospel for over 15 years. They are amazing, compassionate, veterinarians, and I am so glad they finally have their own beautiful vet clinic. It’s very clear that they truly care about animals, and they also work with local rescues. I highly recommend!”

“My sweet 10 year old 7lb dog was in dire need of an allergy shot. She was chewing her paws absolutely raw and scratching nonstop. Her existing vet couldn’t get her in for over 2 weeks!! Their only suggestion was to give her Benadryl! I called the MH Animal Hospital this morning and they fit her in THE SAME DAY! Even though she wasn’t an existing patient! So so grateful for them. Will absolutely be switching our care to the Mount Horeb Animal Hospital!”

“Pros: friendly staff, convenient pickup for meds, electric med records and appointment reminders. They take the time to make sure your dog is calm and that anything confusing is explained clearly, regardless of how much time it takes. You are able to come into the building with your dog at exam time.

Cons: not many I can think of - you do have to call before entering the building at your appointment time, which feels like a lingering covid policy; however, I can see potential value in doing so (can avoid issues with larger dogs interacting with smaller dogs which entering/exciting, etc.). This process becomes an issue if you have T-Mobile as you won't be able to call when you arrive due to lack of cell signal. P.S. no more T-Mobile for me. :-)

Tip: there's a lower entrance (left side of building) and an upper entrance (right side of building). For appointments, park on the left/lower side. For med pickup (or dog drop-off) park on the right/upper side.”

“This office (along with the IL office) is amazing! They responded to my questions about bringing my dog to Italy very quickly via email. Their vet endorsed my documents on the first day of the 10-day window and shipped my paperwork back SAME DAY. I travel in a week and having my documents this early is such a huge relief — thank you so so much!P.S. I noticed a lot of the negative reviews for all APHIS offices seem to mainly be due to user error. Read the instructions carefully, then re-read 5 more times, check your paperwork, and you'll be fine! My vet and I prepped this paperwork way in advance and everything was endorsed without a hitch. ;)”

“Dr. Payne and the rest of the staff here are great! They take care of my cat so well, and he loves them too! He gets treats and headscratchs, and never seems nervous or stressed when they bring him back out to me... Plus their pet wellness plans are awesome, and I save a sizeable amount every visit. All in all, glad I picked them to care for my cat.”

“George (dog) went in the early morning as he’s been suffering from IG. When we entered the front, Jacob was there to greet us, and he was so kind to me and my dog. He even went over to George to comfort him while we waited in the lobby. The doctor and the nurse listened to my concerns and were very patient with me and my dog every step of the way. They didn’t rush me one bit as it was very, very busy at the clinic. They did not treat me as a number; I could tell they cared about George. I highly recommend this emergency vet! I did not feel alone one bit. I am genuinely grateful for everyone there!Thank you again!Ellen & George”

“My little buddy Oakley wasn't feeling very good. He's an Australian Shepard- so he's always hyper... all the time lol play, play, play... so when I started to notice his energy levels and appetite had changed I was concerned. I called his vet and unfortunately they weren't able to see him for another week. They recommended VCA in Middleton. I called every vet I could near me because honestly I wanted to avoid an emergency vet bill. The time came; we had to go in. I called VCA in Middleton and they got us right in. The staff is amazing!! The vet listened to me and quickly identified he had Lyme. She treated him immediately. & Even though my little punk is handsome and sweet- I knew he wasn't feeling good and that he would get an attitude pretty quick. He needed his muzzle. I searched and searched my house before we left home but I couldn't find it. I warned the staff of my concerns as soon as we got there and thankfully they had one available for us. I wish I could remember the vet and all the staffs names because I would like to thank every one of them that helped my little buddy and me!! He's feeling much better and he's back at the park playing. They even called a few days later to check in on us. Very nice and completely appreciated!!”
