Well organized store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Anna Beth was exceptionally helpful and instructive for me as a beginner sewer looking for a first machine.

I'm always learning something new. The ladies here have good people skills and are patient and take the time with each individual.

I have been sewing for decades and have wirked with several sewing machines. The Bernina has been by far the best. The staff here is very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. They know sewing and helped me select my new machine appropriate to my favorite type of sewing. They also helped troubleshoot an older machine for my daughter who had a project with a deadline. They got it working well so she could finish in time. I just took it in for a thorough cleaning and oiling. This is the place to go.

The best location to get tools, gadgets and everything else (e.g., thread, needle, etc.) for sewing. I have been a loyal customer for years and their expertise greatly appreciated.

All I needed was matching thread for 3 projects, and there were so many choices. They also helped me and they created better matches than I would have done on my own. I also bought my sewing machine here a couple of years ago and that experience was excellent as well.

I love this store. Such wonderful customer service! It has taken awhile to find the sewing machine that works best for me, but I have finally figured it out! They really helped guide my choice.
Their service department did a terrific job cleaning and repairing my mother's 1947 featherweight.
I have taken 3 classes and look forward to participating in future classes. Their instructor is an extremely talented sewist and incredibly knowledgeable about a wide variety of machines. I particularly enjoyed her free motion class. She does have a very dry sense of humor. (Made me laugh.) If that isn't your cup of tea, just let her know. She seemed very open to feedback.

I was in the Learn to Use Your Sewing Machine class 1 & 2 over the weekend and it was mostly a lot of fun... The staff was very welcoming and our instructor, Barbara, was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there were several times throughout both classes that our instructor seemed annoyed by our questions and (in my opinion) was condescending. At one point near the end of class 2, she raised her voice at me for using too much glue on the back of a piece of fabric and offered zero constructive feedback as to why the amount of glue I was using was an issue. I had to remind her that I have never done this before. Even in my attempt to provide perspective, she still had to have the last word and her tone wasn't friendly. It was not an appropriate way to speak to someone learning a new skill. I felt exhausted by the end of class, not because of the new information I learned about sewing, but from having to constantly ignore the instructor's condescending communication style. This bums me out because I'd like to return for other classes, but I don't think I can tolerate Barbara's communication in a learning environment. I decided to go to another location that is less convenient for me in hopes to avoid having this instructor again. In the end, it was the other students in class and staff that turned this into a positive experience.

Excellent, knowledgeable staff to help you choose your machine and learn how to use it. They're pretty expensive, in that they only offer the middle to higher end of the sewing machine range. But their prices for what they're actually selling aren't outrageous... it's just that they only sell machines above a certain level of quality. That's not a bad thing, but if you want the $75 portable machines, look elsewhere.
Their best trait is their staff, who know exactly what each of their machines does, and can even tell you which ones will be better as a predecessor to which others, if you intend to move up after a while. They're friendly, eager to help with anything in their range, and VERY knowledgeable. Lean on them for advice and they won't fail you.

Friendly, hospitable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff that makes me feel welcome. They know so many customers by name, and are hands down the best hosts for Sew Fun classes - they have built a sweet community and vibe in the Northgate store; it's clear from the minute you walk in. Check out this store - it's small but mighty, with a surprisingly well- stocked inventory, considering the size of the site! Go visit them! They have everything, or can get it for you within a day or two!

I’ve taken several projects to various quality sew and vac locations in the Seattle area. It’s always been such a wonderful place to go, sew, chat, learn and get help. I appreciate that places like this still exist. The Seattle location the people were friendly and highly knowledgeable. I had a lovely afternoon sewing and was so grateful that I was finally able to finish my daughter’s minki quilt. It’s just such a shame that so many locations have closed down. For some people this is more than a place to sew, it’s also a place to connect with people of various ages and build community.

I had an excellent experience when I stopped by! I am a newbie sewer, and Anna-Beth went truly above and beyond to show me around, answer my questions, and guide me through the process of what's important when buying a sewing machine. I got the impression that the other associates were also fantastic. I feel like I can shop here and trust the recommendations of the employees -- I'll definitely be going back!

The staff at Quality Sewing & Vacuum listened to my needs and requirements and gave recommendations that lined up with my own research about the available sewing machine options. I am very satisfied.
