Take your business elsewhere, DHL work with thieves in Nairobi Kenya and they never tell you about important tax. When you ship something, it’ll be held until you pay a ransom and no one can help you. Please take my advice don’t ship with DHL!
I am deeply disappointed by my experience with DHL. I urgently shipped a package containing time-sensitive documents, including a passport, with the expectation that it would arrive promptly and smoothly. However, the process has been anything but that.
I initially requested that the shipment be opened so that only the documents could be retrieved, while the phone could remain in DHL’s possession for a later decision. They asked me to write a letter authorizing this, which I did, only for the request to be denied. This has proven to be a complete waste of time, and I feel their approach has been both unprofessional and disrespectful.
Yesterday, my wife attempted to pick up the documents—none of which are taxable—yet she was refused. To make matters worse, DHL employees, working with customs, insisted we pay an additional $700 for release, even though I had already paid $60. When I called to request the return of the shipment, they informed me that due to the initial payment, there was now an “entry,” and without full payment, they would release nothing—not even the passport.
This situation is unacceptable. I trusted DHL to have seamless partnerships with international locations and to manage these issues professionally. I should not have to deal with customs and payment demands in a foreign country to retrieve something as crucial as a passport.
Now, nearly two weeks later, I am still waiting for my son’s passport, with his visa close to expiring. If this isn’t resolved soon, I will need to start the entire visa process from scratch—a considerable strain on our time and resources.
I am requesting the immediate release of the documents, as I cannot afford to wait another 2-3 weeks. We can discuss the phone later, but at this point, my trust in DHL has been severely damaged. I am committed to sharing this experience publicly to warn others.

My delivery driver put my package in the GARBAGE. just completely careless with peoples things. Especially in this economy. DHL has no way to fix anything there solution is to call the company for a replacement.

I placed an order online which was sent via DHL. I didn't realize that this would be a major headache until I started watching my tracking updates. DHL has been the SLOWEST and LEAST ORGANIZED shipping company I have ever dealt with. First with their Cincinnati location and now with Seattle. I could have driven to BC and picked up my items directly if I would have known that the staff in charge of routing and sorting shipments, and their customer service staff on the phone and online chat feature, were all so incompetent. Take your business elsewhere if you can.

DHL scheduled a delivery during a working hours for home delivery that requires signature. There is no prior notification about scheduled delivery. Delivery person rings the bell only once and walk away in a minute. This service deserve no star but I choose one. The send's had no information available for delivery schedule that receiver can track and be on the lookout.

I get large international shipments coming in through this service point regularly, and I am incredibly grateful for the excellent staff working here. In particular, a gentleman named Khan (I hope spelling is correct) has always gone beyond the call of duty to make sure I get what I need. Thank you!

My package was supposed to be delivered on 7/26/24. It is now 7/30/24. Why is it still stuck in Seattle? It’s not a cheap package either. ??♀️
Update: they lost my $380 package ?

DHL doesn't deliver e-commerce packages directly. They hand them off to the post office! No accountability, no responsibility if the package doesn't arrive! That's convenient, for them!!
I would encourage small e-commerce businesses to avoid using them, like the plague. Your customers suffer for it.

Review would be zero stars if that was an option. Package due four days ago from the UK. First, it went to the wrong UK departure airport. Lost a day getting to correct departure point. Finally got to DHL hub in Cincinatti, then misrouted to Smyrna, GA (!!??), then to Atlanta, then back to Cincinatti.
Package stayed in Cincinatti all weekend despite customer service saying it was being expedited for weekend movement and Seattle would deliver same day on receipt. Got to Seattle 4.22am Monday (no weekend movement at all) and now cust. service say that it was "too late for delivery" today.
Appears the latest delay is firmly on Seattle, who just couldn't be bothered to expedite a parcel that's already four days late.
Save yourself the grief. Use UPS.
EDIT: DHL social media reps frequently reply here (in the case of this review, rep was Melissa). It's meaningless window dressing.
Just got the following email:
"I'm sorry. The Social Media team is not working the file, but our Research Team will be in touch with you".
Goes without saying I've had no contact from the "Research Team", and still no confirmation on delivery date

No, Melissa. I won't be responding to any emails. You people are going to explain it to my face why DHL is so incompetent. You cannot avoid customers that you have wronged.
