Island Pet Center
1381 SW Barlow St, Oak HarborHuge shout out to Bryce!!!! My family and I came in on Saturday looking for some fish. He was so knowledgeable and helpful (and patient) with all of the questions we asked. He helped us get a super sweet setup! We are so grateful for this small business and its employees!!!!

Petco
31179 State Rte 20, Oak HarborOverall, it's a great store. There are tons of food and accessories to choose from to give your fur babies or fish and reptile kiddos.
One downside is the amount of space in the store. If you are like me and need to buy a lot of food and use a cart, be prepared to ding or squeeze through crowded isles.

Bugaboo Pet Grooming
2747 N Crescent Acres Rd, Oak HarborI am absolutely delighted with the quality and affordability of Bugaboo Grooming. My husband dropped off our senior dog, Bash, for his first grooming session yesterday, and the experience was wonderful. Bash came back looking clean, cuddly, and with expertly trimmed nails. A highlight was the surprise photo keepsake we received. I would rate this service 10/10 and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. Thank you, Bugaboo Grooming!

Pet Care
Freer Kent J DVM
195 W Green Valley Rd, Oak HarborUnfortunately the person who left a bad review about their dog and puppies is confused about about Dr Freer. Doc Freer practiced for over 50 years as a beloved Large Animal Veterinarian. Ie farm animals with some exotics. He only worked on dogs owned by very close friends and took his own dogs to a local Veterinarian. Any employees also worked only on farm animals as well.

North Whidbey Veterinary Hospital: Neighbours Amanda DVM
1020 NE 7th Ave #4, Oak HarborDr Mangiameli has taken care of all our animals for the last year now. What I like most about him is that he’s a straight shooter! We found a kitten nearly dead outside and took him to the doc, he warned us that he was pretty bad off, but he would see what he could do for him. He nursed this guy back to life, we saw him for three days straighten them a CDRE more times until he was stable. Now he’s the sweetest cat, the doc saved this little guy!

Veterinary Treatment Facility NAS Whidbey Island
260 Pioneer Way, Oak HarborThe staff was friendly to me and to my pet. The vet spent far longer than I expected with us and was very thorough in the exam. It sometimes can take a couple of weeks to get an appointment but we have never been disappointed with the care our animals have received.

Frasers Gourmet Hideaway
1191 SE Dock St STE 101, Oak HarborFabulous service, wonderful food, and an enjoyable environment. This was an unexpected treat. We started with cocktails and shared 2 apps. The brie and garlic fondue was luscious and perfect for the four of us to share. The dry ribs came with 4 pieces and they were very tender and we loved the little sauce (blackberry?). I had the duck pappardelle and loved the crumbled crispy skin garnish. I would have liked a little more :-). My other had the fried chicken and corn spoon bread and I couldn't keep my fork out of his plate. Also at our table was the crab and shrimp lasagna. It was beautiful and delicious. But very rich. Could have used something on the plate to give your pallet a rest. Lastly was the lovely rack of lamb with pistachio crust. We shared the profitero dessert and literally scraped the plate. We did not expect such a fantastic meal experience on Whidbey Island!

Mi Taco is Your Taco
963 Ault Field Rd, Oak HarborBeyond delicious flavors. When I wanna have something that tastes like authentic Socal Mexican food, this place is where I go. His California Burrito is the best. The dude that runs this truck is from Socal, so he brought his treasure with him.

Orlando's Southern BBQ
656 SE Bayshore Dr Ste 1, Oak HarborThis was probably the best brisket we have ever had, and we have had a lot! It was so moist and tender. Everything we had, with the exception of the baked beans, was EXCELLENT. Brisket nachos, 3 meat combo, macaroni and cheese and top it off with 2 banana puddings! We ordered one pudding and it was so good, we got one to go. The baked beans for our taste (3 of us) were too soupy and too spicy, but that was the ONLY negative about the place. They also had live music. Our two suggestions are, don't close the front dining room when you have music as it is too loud for kids in the only other places that kids can go, and get a better sign so you pop out for drive by non Google or Yelpers!

Flyers Restaurant and Brewery
32295 State Rte 20, Oak Harbor8.31.2024. Holiday weekend. Bar was not busy around 4pm.
Food was good yet not phenomenal. Burger with sweet potato fries, had excess salty seasoning. Cobb salad was flavorful and delightful. Waitress was on top of refilling waters and pleasant. I'd like to try a different meal and give another opportunity.

Seabolt's Restaurant
31640 State Rte 20 Suite #3, Oak HarborThis place is seriously underrated. It's a fast casual restaurant / deli with top tier seafood. Everything on the captains platter represents the best version of itself I've ever had. I don't even like halibut usually and they managed to get the halibut texture to be flavorful and not dry. The oysters are juicy and bursting with flavor, something that is often not true when served fried. The salmon and cod are still tender underneath a crispy crust and seasoned or marinated throughout. They overcome the pitfall of 99% of fried fish restaurants by ensuring the fish on the inside is not bland in comparison to the breading. You get a lot of bang for your buck. The captains platter comes on 2 separate plates with sides and although it claims to feed 2, it realistically could feed 3. The chowder is loaded and rich. Their house made sauces elevate all the dishes and are noticeably better than your standard bulk tartars at other places. The breading on the razor clams is outstanding and has a refreshing aftertaste of black pepper. All the breading is crispy and flavorful but also very thin. You get a lot of fish with every bite. The service is very professional and friendly. If you're on whidbey, this is a must visit.
