Cedardale Veterinary Clinic
1105 Dale Ln, Mount VernonSuper awesome, super sweet, super caring low cost vet. First time going there and they handled my three cats with amazing care. And I told them our story and they gave me options to work with my budget ❤️❤️ (of course though I still went with the best option for my baby's) but I thought that was incredibly understanding of them to give me other options and I really appreciate that they did that. Also I didn't have all the money on me, my BF had to run back home to get the rest and while he did that they continued on with treating my cats, so I thought that was really cool as well.Absolutely love this vet! Sad I'm moving now that I found a really good one.

Woolly Vet Care
1515 Parker Way, Mount VernonI am so grateful to have found this vet! Dr. McKee has been helping me with my cat's stomach issues for a while now, and has been so thorough as we tried to find the root cause. I also appreciate that he has been sensitive to my budget and hasn't tried to talk me into unnecessary procedures or tests. It's so clear that he has the pet's best interests at heart and I just am so glad we figured out Belle's issues and she's back to her old self again! I highly recommend this vet and his amazing office team as well.

Parker Way Veterinary Clinic: Broda Martha L DVM
1310 N Laventure Rd, Mount VernonHaven't left a review in a while so bear with me. Back story; My wife and I care about our dog a lot and always want the best for him. He is part of our family and I don't take kindly to and will stand between him and any hostile environment. I have made my best effort to make sure that he knows I am the alpha male, but to no avail he'll tell you different. He's a thinker and watches for threats and will take immediate action. Ok, enough of the humor. Let's get serious. My wife and I have been to Burlington and back in search of a great, not good or sufficient veterinarian but great. One with genuine compassion and thoughtful kindness for our pet. His name is Skittles, he's a small terrier weenie mix. With the biggest attitude that he can muster for his 15 pounds. Dr. Herenbeen calms that attitude when she enters the room. She's very good at what she does, speaks in layman's terms for non medical professionals like me so that we may understand exactly what needs to be or has been done. The veterinarian assistants are friendly and knowledgeable as well. Overall we have no complaints and highly recommend this clinic above all others. They go above and beyond the call of necessity making you feel down home and comfortable.

Animal Hospital of Mt Vernon: Ray Thomas D DVM
1310 N Laventure Rd, Mount VernonWe moved to Mt. Vernon last winter and needed a new vet. We chose Dr. Thomas because the office is close to my job. Little did we know, we were picking THE best vet! We have a six year old boxer and a boxer puppy. He loves on them every time we go and his office girls are wonderful, too! They are never too busy to get us in and are always so kind. Thank you for taking good care of our girls

Parker Way Veterinary Clinic: Williams Alan R DVM
1515 Parker Way, Mount VernonWe recently had what we thought was going to be a major problem with our dog. The clinic got us in next day and did test and it was just a infection. Cost was reasonable, as we didn't get stuck with things we didn't need. Been there many times and will keep going back. Great staff.

Pet Emergency Center - Skagit Valley
14434 Avon Allen Rd, Mount VernonSaved our male cat with a full urinary blockage, called ahead as soon as we noticed he was not able to relieve himself, they took him back immediately and the process began. He ended up having to stay two nights, every single person on the staff was quick to call us and answered immediately when we would call, they explained every step of the way and were immediately forthcoming with every increase in price as we got further into the diagnosing process. This is an emergency room, there is going to be unpredictable wait times and it is more expensive than a normal vet as it should be!We cannot express how grateful we are to the Doctors/DVM's that loved on our boy and that this building/service is open and available.Thank you a thousand times for all of the loving care and knowledge that was used and shared with us to fix our Mr. Meat!

Pet Sitting & Training
Optimum Dog
520 Pacific Pl B, Mount VernonMy husband and I feel very fortunate to have found Jenn. We adopted one of her foster dogs trained at Optimum Dog, and I can't say enough about the skills this puppy came home with: she is potty/crate trained, well-socialized, takes cues from our older dog, has no issues with our cats despite never being exposed before, has great recall, and understands all the basic commands (plus more). Her sunny, cheerful, curious personality is a testament to how she was treated as a foster, too. Jenn made a lot of time for us with advice and resources. A puppy is obviously a major life change, but with the many foundations put in place by Jenn and her wonderful crew, we feel we got a major running start. It's very clear how much value is placed on making sure owners and dogs are set up for success and understanding. If we didn't live hours away, we'd be back regularly for ongoing training, though we'll definitely stop by when we're up in Washington!

Skagit River Brewery
404 S 3rd St, Mount VernonThe ideal location is the least of this establishment's attributes! The food menu has the pub fare you expect; they don't overreach here, and the quality seems better for it. The on-site brewery is cool, and the beer list is both creative and inventive--not to mention delicious! While being partial to an outdoor patio (especially one that welcomes dogs!), we found the interior to be airy and charming, with plenty of exposed brick, natural lighting, and what must be the original wood plank flooring. The Skagit River Brewery has earned a repeat customer and a guaranteed stop when entertaining out of town friends!

Shambala Ancient Grain Bakery Inc.
614 S 1st St, Mount VernonReally great, yummy gluten-free food. Family friendly. My husband & I both had the fish & chips & it was so delicious! Best I've had, especially since being gluten-free. My 3 year old & I both had smoothies & they were also yummy. We came during the tulip festival nearby, so the lunch rush was pretty hectic. I'd imagine the rest of the year is much more laid back, but I'll have to find out for sure. Grabbed a loaf of their gf herbed sourdough to try at home as well. Will def be back!
