“We attended this store for the first time today to get my daughter her first pair of boots and helmet. From the moment we arrived we were treated so nicely and the staff were all so friendly. The person helping my daughter was so kind and made my daughter feel at ease as she can be quite shy. They also made sure to include my youngest daughter by giving her stickers. We were really impressed with the store and can’t wait to come back for more supplies when we need them.”

“Great experience. I went it looking for a climbing machine. Hers the deal I went in before my workout. This guy that works for one they didn’t have a climbing machine. Rare if they would have one most fitness stores do not stock this kind of machine. He love his job really positive and is super knowledgeable on fitness I would say go check it out. Fun experience and you get to sit in line 5 or 6 different massage chairs. It’s the best.”

“Came in for the first time at this store to make my first ever snowboard purchase, and their shop manager Bryce spent what had to have been easily an hour or more helping me decide which board / bindings / boots would be best for me given the budget I provided, as well as giving me just a ton of general knowledge about snowboarding and things to consider. He helped me completely set up my board / bindings and get it ready to use while being super patient with me as I asked for adjustments etc. Super friendly / chill staff and was an amazing stress-free experience overall. Really happy I came here and will definitely be coming back for anything else I need for snowboarding!”
“HUMUNGOUS shout out to Westra Sports and the epically AWESOME Neil for fitting me in the MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS EVAH!! I'm soooo stinkin happy!! At 49 with "athletic" calves, injury issues, etc ...it was quite the task getting me fit! Neil took his time, never made me feel bad, was just all around an amazing experience!!! “The folks at Puetz Golf stand behind the products they sell 100%. I recently ordered from their online store a close-out electric Golf Caddy/Trolly that was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2024.
Imagine my disappointment when the unit came to me and was defective with nothing working as it should. Andy from Puetz customer service not only responded to my concerns professionally and promptly outside of business hours… but they replaced it, in the store, with a unit that was the current model for no additional cost. 100% painless and all on the same Sunday I reached out.
Jordan from the Seattle location literally had everything complete in a few short minutes, no interrogation, no hassle, never a doubt that they were going to do the right thing. I didn’t need to pay for shipping because I bought it online, didn’t need to wait until they could source another similar 2024 model, or just give me my money back… I just got excellent service and walked out with a perfect, new replacement.
Service like this is from a prior age when businesses valued the customer more than the sale. They will have my business on every golf purchase I can send their way, and they should get yours too!!!”

The knowledge I learned was so critical and realistic for my hunt I have coming up. “I got my Matthews bow from a friend several months ago. I accidently dry-fired my bow and it derailed. Went in there today to have my bow repaired. Being new to archery, the two guys there today fixed it right up quickly, taught a lot of what was going on with my bow. If I ever need a repair, I will be going to them. When I get better and decide I want a new bow, I will be going to them.”

“Lynda and Ashtyn provided excellent customer service! Originally, we stopped by to do one return, which went smoothly. Unexpectedly, we found a product in a smaller size and planned to do an exchange. Lynda assisted us, and we asked for advice between the two sizes. She took the time to compare the two sizes and provided excellent advice. So, we kept the size that we originally had. Then, we asked her if they would be able to see if another location had the size and color of an additional product. She called Ashtyn over, who assisted us at the register. Unfortunately, the product was no longer manufactured, so all they had is what was left. We are very appreciative of the friendliness and helpfulness of Lynda!”
“I brought an old boat hitch that had a rusty stuck bolt on it to Seattle Water Sports. After trouble shooting my problem they were able to unscrew this bolt using a huge wrench and pipe. When it came time to pay the bill they said it was “free”. I was very surprised they did this and highly recommend them to anyone. They seemed very knowledgeable on all aspects of boating, even helping me loosen a stuck nut on an old boat hitch.”
“Went in looking to try and buy some new woods - and I did, so that says something! I hadn't bought new clubs in about 10 years, so wasn't really sure what the new golf tech was and didn't really care to sort through the bias online content and reviews. I got a fitting with one of their techs who asked me what I was there for, asked about preferences, abilities, etc. and then recommended some clubs and set to work. I spend the better part of an hour ripping shots on the simulator as the tech swapped out clubs for me based on what he was seeing and discussed what I might be feeling and why based on each club model. I walked away with two clubs I felt confident buying.A few notes/recommendation:- They have a wide selection of clubs, bags, etc. (more than many other places I have been in lately)- They have about 5 simulator bays running that you can use to try certain clubs. I couldn't tell from the website what the simulator situation was- I recommend making a fitting reservation by giving them a call. They were swamped on a Rainy Sunday, so they took my name in a later time slot and asked me to come back (which worked for me)- Bring a few clubs you know your distances for. The sims/practice ball combo results in a slight, but noticeable yardage reduction, so you'll want to know how off the sim is from reality by hitting your known club and comparing the sim to reality. Otherwise you might think that new 3 wood going 240 instead of 260 is not worth the $$.”
“The Good part of this store is that they have a great selection of shoes, probably the best in the area. The bad part is that they are overpriced. They are probably one of the most expensive in the area ( if you don't have a coupon) . The staff are friendly
and helpful.
Pro tip: Sometimes you can offset the cost with coupons, and occasionally you can find a deal. That's probably why I keep coming back.”
“I just have to give a shout out to Kristina for going way above and beyond my expectations on her customer service. I came in for fishing license reprints and she offered to call WDFW on my behalf and help take care of an issue. I had no idea this was an option and she kindly walked me through different solutions for an initial license that was never sent. This is why I love coming to neighborhood sporting goods stores!”
“My wife needed a specific pair of shoes and staff was able to locate them within moments. She got exactly what we needed and the staff was very friendly. The minus star is for being a tad pushy on the membership program. 5 different employees tried pushing the $30 membership. They should probably back off a tad on that.”
“I went into Big Five in mid-October while visiting family in Shoreline. The AirbnB I was staying at had a terrible mattress, and I would not be able to sleep on it another night. I went into Big Five hoping to find something I could sleep on for a few nights. An excellent young lady named Damaris not only directed me to the camping-style mattresses, she explained the two options and helped me select the one that would be best for my circumstances. The air mattress I purchased exceeded all of my expectations, and I slept like a baby for the next five nights. The customer service I received saved me hundreds of dollars as I did not have to leave the AirBnb for a hotel. I appreciate the selection of Big Five and the patience and thoughtfulness of Damaris. We had some initial difficulty with responsiveness, but once our team got assigned to Brooklyn in customer service/order entry, we have had nothing but great service, good quality and excellent responsiveness. We love the look of the 3D hat embroidery. Now we are a repeat customer and would recommend Pro Player for jersey and team wear needs. The team store makes is easy for families and fans to order team wear in a variety of options.”
