“Good place to kayak. $23/hr will take that any day. Kayaks comes with foot paddle and that makes steering really convenient. SLU is always a great place to Kayak anyways - so if it's sunny it's a great time to come out here and kayak. Lovely folks at counter.”

“Ben in the ski shop is the best ski repairmen I have ever seen! He fixed up two pairs of skis for me, one of them being what I originally thought was past repairable. He was able to bring them back to life and they now ride like they are brand new! Super great customer service, super knowledgeable, and great communication. I will bring all my skis into sturtevants and request him for every repair and wax job I ever have to do going forward!”

“We stopped by Motion Boardshop to get the family longboards. Nate was so helpful and such a cool dude! He helped us pick out boards and adjusted them to fit our needs. He didn’t try to upsell us and even recommended the less expensive boards cause they were a better fit for the style of riding we want to do. We’ll definitely be back in the winter for snowboarding season!”
“Sales guy Evan was knowledgeable about the shoes there I'll tell you! I wasn't even going to buy some. I was just looking getting ideas. I'd had Hoka shoes before, which are great shoes. I looked at the cute, comfortable Altra shoes, slid my foot in the shoe, and my foot just melted. So I changed my mind. I bought them! Because you never know if that shoe in your size would be there next time. That would be a big Un- zen like disappointment! We want the good feeling! Go there, get your next pair there!”

“Great stuff for adventure travel - we are going up the Amazon River in 2 months. But it was Erin who really helped us sort it all out. We were impressed with her extensive knowledge of the product lines. When something did not quite seem to be working right, or even when we just asked a question, she had suggestions. “Ive been to Risan several times over the past couple months for our select baseball team to pick up gear and uniforms. Our go to person we've been ordering from is Kristin, but I've been in and received help from Ryan and multiple different folks. All are welcoming and helpful. I wish I would have known about Risan a couple seasons back when we were having trouble finding cleats. They had a TON of options, same goes for bats ( they even had the Fire bat which was one of my son's top asked for bday items). There was a day recently where Kristin was not in, and I was able to still get a response from her via email and her coworker even text her to get a response. The team at Risan cares about their customers and that's rare to find nowadays. Every time I've been in I see someone else there getting great service, and you can tell they've had some relationships with local schools and teams for years and years. I also like that they're able to do small batch orders. We were considering doing a dozen hats for parents and Kristin was more than happy to get quotes for me. Next time we need any baseball gear for the team or just my son, we'll be hitting up Risan. Highly recommend for baseball gear in Kirkland/Redmond/Sammamish.”

“I got my 10 year old rucksack #21 repaired here. They have a tailor on-site for alterations and repairs. They stand by their lifetime repair warranty, and their items are made to last. The staff is cheerful and helpful, and they have a good selection at the store! Worth a visit if you're in the area!”

“Joe was super helpful! I walked in knowing nothing about lacrosse. I presented my kid and mouthed “help! I’m just a mom looking for the best for her child!” And they just took care of him. Got him sized up and fitted for everything he needed to immediately fit in. “Stopped in to buy a complete, they had everything I asked for and some really cool options for shop decks, the one I got was kind of a Newport theme and it was designed by the guy who was working so that was pretty awesome ~all in all the experience was phenomenal I had a great time looking at their vinyl and stickers, and the service was amazing. “I love this store and I really like that they have the authentic jerseys, too. Authentic as in the $300-$500 jerseys that the players wear. The only thing I don’t like is the parking situation. It is Seattle so my expectations for parking can’t be too high so it is what it is.”
