I should of done my own research before going. I told them I'm in military orders for school here. I even brought my orders. But they said if I'm here longer than 60 days I need to pay USE TAXES on the car I bought from OREGON. I showed them my Hawaii driver's license too when looking at my name. All things that should of told them I'm not from here and things that hit the mark of qualifying reasons not to pay use taxes. On the website it says.. Actives duty OVER 6 months (been in years now) Vehicle 30 days before discharge Took purchase out of Washington state My home of record isn't WA So I even told them I need a exempt form but they disagreed and said it doesn't apply to me. $500 use taxes. Now I gotta wait for a refund and turn around time is damn near a year. When they could of just had trained their employees better so they aren't charging for things they shouldn't be.

Staff have no clue what they are doing. Brought my car that was gifted to me from my dad. Had an out of state title. Was told I wouldn't be able to get it registered because sales taxes weren't paid on the car yet they were and I had proof saying other wise. They looked up the value of the car and wanted $600+ to cover "sales tax". Staff was belligerent and hard headed. Ended up going to the Auto registration place in Hawks Prairie. Took less than 10 minutes to get it done. Only paid $274.25. I would just completely avoid this place. Either they were trying to scam me or they just wanted it done their way even if it wasn't correct. Also looking through their reviews, seems like doing whatever they want or making things up is there job.

This place is wonderful! There was no wait and I was able to walk right up to the window. The woman helping me was very nice. This place is right next to where you get your drivers license so super convenient if you need both.

No appointments necessary. I had such a breezy experience! I walked in to ask for guidance on how to transfer my California registration to Washington and $300 later I got new plates, and a new WA car title. The staff was just so pleasant and helpful. It was a peaceful and nice experience (other than the price tag).

I have to give 5 stars because every time I walk in here (which recently has been often) every employee has been patient and helpful. I'm in the process of registering and refinancing my car and despite my confusion they're helpful with me. I recommend them! I try to go at odd times of the day/week to avoid lines which has worked every time.

Sad to see all the bad reviews. I'm new to the state and needed to make multiple changes including registering a car when I was working out of the state. I've dealt with this office three times and the staff have not only been some of the most helpful people, they are also some of the nicest. Nice and DMV- two words you never thought you'd say in the same sentence.

Bottom line: making an appointment online and going-in is a heck of a lot easier than trying to compete with the line crowd. Normally, the line is out the door and people usually wait in their cars. I made an appointment online (about 7-days back) and was seen right away when I came in. This place strictly observes CoVID mitigation measures and asks all its patrons to the same upon entering. I was only a handful of people in there and the service was quick. **I will caveat that It is the holidays and not many people go in during this time of the year... unless you're waiting until the last week to re-register your vehicle

This is the worst DMV. Being located inside a Albertsons it is very high traffic and not clean. The employees were very rude. One was not wearing a mask and had a sign stating "I am exempt from wearing a mask". This was very alarming. The women who "helped" me was only wearing her mask over her mouth, allowing her nose and checks to be exposed. She had a cough and at this point I could not be in that space anymore. They were clearly not taking correct protocols for Covid, nor were they providing any sense of customer service.

Worst place to register a car, the owner of the licensing location is extremely rude and told me she was going to have to charge me tax on 78 thousand dollars when I only paid 5 thousand dollars for my car, I'm not sure where she came up with that crazy number when the used car I bought only cost 26 thousand new over 20 years ago, I think she must have either pulled that number out of thin air or looked at some crazy rich person auction price on a similar model car with no miles and in mint condition, well this wasn't the car I purchased, I took my business elsewhere and wasn't quoted the Sotheby's auction price on the used car, I realize that people might under value the reported sale price on a purchase, but this wasn't the case with this vehicle and I didn't like being called a liar to my face when I was just trying to register a used car. Nobody would pay 78 thousand dollars for this mediocre, high mileage, used vehicle and I feel she knew it! After being made to look like a lying thief in front of the line of people behind me I went outside and googled the same make and model car that I was attempting to register and couldn't find any past sales that even came close to the price she quoted me. Wow never again will I renew tabs or register a car at this location!! Hopefully this will help somebody before they're insulted and ripped off.

I have used Lacey Auto Licensing numerous times over the years as I am a Soldier that lives out of state. Corry has always been helpful and courteous and takes care of all my needs. Everyone I have talked with here has been great! The Lacey Auto Licensing team makes getting tabs, plates, and registration easy and stress free. Keep up the great work!

I renewed my car tabs in October 2019 and had the DOL issue the tabs through Lacey Auto Licensing. I received one vehicle set of tabs but I did not receive the second set of tabs for my second vehicle. Lacey Auto Licensing said they would reissue and mail out the second set of tabs right away. Over two weeks later they still have not arrived and Lacey Auto Licensing says I have to come and pick them up now. So I have to take time out of my busy day to supervise someone to do their job so I can get what I legally need and they are supposed to ensure gets to me and that I paid them to do. I didn't realize I worked at Lacey Auto as well. Do I get an employee discount on car registrations?

Horrible service! The girls there treated me with zero respect. Insulted me by trying to humiliate me and make me feel stupid. The red hair girl and the short brunette . Need to be fired ASAP. They are poorely representatives for WA DMV. And they are an embarrassment to society! Someone for got to show these girls how u treat people in general, and how u respect your elders , also how the world doesn't revolve around them. Anyways I left immediately and didn't get the services I needed . But when you leave ur little window box open and ur sitting on the ground putting pencils away. And I ask if this one is open? Cause someone was working it 20 mins prior. But then the girl sitting on the floor looks at the the other girl who proceeds to ask me " is anyone standing there?" .. ummm no DUHHH !!!! And so I politely say well I wasn't sure if she maybe couldn't see me I'm short the counter is tall. Then the brunette says "well I can't see you!" ... wow. Great service lady's! No now you can't see me.. cause I will never go there to do any business ever again. ...
