“I've been attending F45 now for 8 months. The classes have all been challenging and most importantly fun. If you're looking for high intensity, great motivating coaches and killer workouts, I would highly recommend you try F45. No workout is the same, each day is different. If you're looking for lifting days they have specific days for that, same goes for cardio, my personal favorite would be Saturdays which is a mix of both and those workouts are 1 hour long! The rest of the week are 45 minutes. If you can't make it in to the gym, or you're traveling, their app offers "At Home Workouts" which you can easily access and get a great burner workout in from wherever you're at. I personally feel that anyone at any fitness level can get through an F45 workout, as you can make your workout as challenging or as easy as you want. Coaches are great in showing you any modifications if need be. Me being a visual person, I love that you can track your progress with their heart rate monitors. You can see live, in class, where you're heart rate percentage is and you receive a status performance report at the end of class that breaks everything down for you, from how many points you've earned in that session to how many calories you've burned that day, that week, the month and the entire year. Also, they have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to membership and "one time deals", which is great for new members. Do not hesitate to try F45, I have never walked out of a class regretting a workout I've completed and I'm more than positive you won't too. Your only job is to sign up and show up, the coaches will get you through the rest! Let's GO!!!!”

“I cannot express enough how welcoming Town Athletics has been! I came to the gym during a Friends and Family week, where members could invite others to see what Town was all about. I had never done CrossFit before and frankly, I was a bit intimidated. This apprehension disappeared on day one! The coaches are the best of the best, and the programming is thoughtful and unique. As a beginner, they make sure I understand the lifts and workouts (scaled to my level while also being challenging). The atmosphere is so supportive, and members are very friendly and inspiring. Because I jumped right in to regular workouts (usually there is an onboarding process), I have also taken a few private sessions with Coach Cole…he is amazing, so knowledgeable, patient, and a great instructor. He has a very good way of coaching that I have responded well to. If you have ever wanted to join a CrossFit gym that is challenging, supportive, and fun, Town Athletics is it!”

The coaches are amazing and so knowledgeable. I train with both Seth and Vanessa, and have done nutrition coaching with Seth as well.When I first started, I had some metabolic improvements to make based upon lab work I had done. As of today, my lab work is pristine - All thanks to Seth and his guidance. “Well-equipped climbing gym with decent route setting. A bit dusty and grimy, but there’s a tight climbing community here. Good gym to top up your fitness while in Tacoma. This gym is definitely better equipped for bouldering rather than roped climbing.”

“While visiting the area for work I was pleased to see that there was a place to train near the hotel I was at. I reached out about doing a drop in for one of their multiple grappling classes. The response was prompt and very friendly providing me with all the information I would need to get to the correct location. All the staff from the gym and the martial arts side of the house were very welcoming and friendly. I got great rounds in with very technical and friendly training partners. If you're in the area and are looking for a place to train martial arts or to work out I can't recommend this facility more.”

“If you are looking to learn some new skills or just working on fitness, if you are looking for a family friendly gym LOOK NO FURTHER! THIS IS IT LOL!!! I am sooo happy I found this place. It started off as I just wanted to do it for fitness. Then my 17yr old and my 8yr old joined. Now we are here almost everyday! Just learning everything we can. Both of my sons are training in boxing and jiu jitsu. Drew and Brandon as well as EVERYONE there are sooo welcoming and friendly. I am grateful! Not to mention a FAMILY FRIENDLY environment. I get to workout and also my sons get their practice in. I do boxing with my 17yr old. You really can't beat that!”

“This gym means so much to me . From my personal trainer..Kyle ( amazing, caring, human being) who's training/coaching methods and knowledge are beyond perfect. Form and safety are always discussed first, every session. He is sympathetic, caring and listens to you. Your unique needs are met without hesitation. Modifications are given for all exercises as needed. He gets to know each and every client personally, and you are NEVER just a client to train. Fitness is his passion, training is his calling . Whether you are an extreme athlete or just beginning, have physical disabilities, young or elderly, he's YOUR coach to be with .

After going a few times a week for about 5 months, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my energy levels and appearance – and it's fun! “I have been going to Taiso for almost four years now, and I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. Butch and Jennifer are encouraging and enthusiastic about the work they do--they're also both just really phenomenal people all around. It is a safe environment where you can come as you are, and you will quickly feel like you are a part of a big family. Many of the folks there have become my lifelong friends. Plus, the classes are amazing--you will definitely be challenged if you put the effort in, and it honestly feels like grown-up gym class (without the awkwardness). Cannot recommend Taiso enough.”

“This place is 5*. Great coaches and people. I go for the "crossfit" style HIIT workouts they have during the day. What I like about Tacoma Strength is they focus more on Olympic lifting with less of the weird "hand stand pushup" type crossfit exercises in their HIIT classes. The saturday class is the best.”

“Incredibly thankful for a space that embraces you wherever you are in life. I've been to a couple of gyms, typically CrossFit, in my life. I am now a mother of 2 and previously had a career as a first responder. Life has clearly changed, a lot, and if I'm being completely honest I've been chronically stressed. So, having found a space to move my body and clear my mind in a gentle way has been a breath of fresh air and something I've never experienced before within a gym setting. I appreciate that warm up/cool downs are programmed into the gym time so that I'm not having to show up earlier/stay late to complete them and it makes a world of a difference to start each class with a fun way to get to know others in the gym via their Question Of The Day. I've been a member with Ascent for a couple of months now and the workouts meet me where I'm at while also being a challenge without an ounce of pressure to push myself to injury. My former gym experiences have typically looked like loud music, a lot of competition, mirrors & scales, everyone "looks the same", rigid workouts, larger class sizes and lacking in accessibility. The coaches and staff at Ascent have been nothing but kind and educated. I've been really impressed and thankful to see offerings like "Low Impact Small Group" which is great for those seeking a slower pace/limited mobility/pre or post giving birth IE, or Sound Bath Meditation. Ascent Fitness has proved themselves to be genuinely caring about ones mental health, being community focused + driven, and supportive of ones journey through life.. The temperature is kept consistent so whether it’s hot or freezing outside, the gym is perfect. The coaches are great as well. Lindsey teaches an all female class that is amazing and so welcoming!”

“As someone who wants to live, feel and be healthy, I found a place that is helping do that. I have been a going for the last almost 2 weeks and i already feel great about my progress. I have a really busy schedule and the Imperial CrossFit offers are great. Sure, not all times are accessible to all. I attend the 530 am class, and boy i am in debt with my instructors, they are great and motivate me to do my best, regardless of experince. I guess for many rookies, we only wish we could have started earlier. I look forward to see what the next couple weeks, months, and my goal year bring me. I love the individual feel of crossFit, with team aspect of it. It's weird, but it feels so right. The members i have met, are great and the best part they all love it, and have their own goals they want to achieve.
