I had my late grandmother's old rings, which were not my size, style, or color, but I wanted to use the stones from them to create my engagement and wedding rings. As an extra twist I work in healthcare and also wanted rings I could wear safely at work with gloves, that hold up well individually but can also be worn together. Katie is a creative genius and worked with me every step of the way to make my vision a reality, and I get compliments on my rings all the time. My husband, meanwhile, wanted a simple tungsten ring, and is very picky about fit and style but wasn't sure how to articulate what he did and didn't like. Meg helped him work through options and was able to hone in on what he was looking for, and how to get it to feel right. We cannot recommend the team at J Rankin highly enough!”

But after another jewelry repair shop in Seattle totally botched my engagement ring, I learned that Cline also does repairs. I went in for a consult, and wow what a difference! “We have lived in Edmonds for 37 years and have never needed jewelry repair of any kind. A few week back, my wife decided to get a prong fixed on her wedding ring which is forty years old ( this year ). She had driven by Elegant Gems several times and decided to stop in for an estimate. When she came home, she told me about this little shop on 5th with this really nice fellow that KNOWS ALOT about gems and such. He did give her an estimate of the repair and explained the issues clearly. I then decided to up the anty and surprise her with a bigger diamond, so I snuck down and met with Brent. He showed me three different options and clearly explained the different grades, handing out a very gentle re-education to loose stones. I decided on one and the ring turned out just stellar and best of all, my wife went all nuts.This was perfect on so many levels and Brent's simply the best.”

“Updated:After several trips for various repairs and cleanings we decided it was time to re-create my ring to have it built to last. My husband and I worked closely with Sarah G. and through the whole process she was very communicative and open to feed back on the custom ring we were building. When Sarah was unavailable Erin was also a great help! The end product is perfect and I’m beyond happy we went the route of starting fresh with Comstock and Sarah! The attention to detail, consistent communication, and virtual renderings of possible ideas is what sets Comstock apart from other jewelers. I have plans for other things I want to work on with them in the future. I’m attaching a photo of the finished ring on the ring finger, the wedding band is on the other finger and are from elsewhere for years ago. “Lovely family owned store. My last recent visit (February 2024) was disappointing since they were all out of lavender hand/body lotion and many other products as well. ( Literally wiped out) I was told that they no longer produce the extra large hand/body size with pump. I have been using this for years. I will try back later....”
