Bartell Drugs is a locally-owned, Seattle-based company that has been serving the community since 1890. The store showcases over 150 local partners, with products made in the Pacific Northwest. Customers find the store layout better than other major chains, with a better stock and a homey, friendly feel with lower lighting that feels less clinical. Workers in the store are frequently friendly, greeting customers at the door. The checkout line is easy to find and payment is straightforward, and the parking lot is moderately easy to maneuver. The pharmacy receives mixed reviews. Some customers report no long wait and note the people were nice enough. However, significant frustrations are reported with pharmacy communication, including not receiving updates for time-sensitive prescriptions and extremely long phone wait times, leading to perceptions that calls are not intended to be answered. In contrast, other services like passport photos receive praise for extremely patient and efficient service with amazing customer service. The store also offers seasonal candy deals and straightforward shopping experiences.
Pharmacy DOES NOT CARE. The pharmacist is very rude. Nothing is ever ready on time. Take your RXs somewhere else and save your sanity. I crying as I write this. It's so discouraging
February 2025
I scheduled an online appointment for a flu and covid shot. Got a bunch of email and text confirmation. Showed up on time and was told we don't do that here. That's the last straw for me.
November 2024
Shelves are always bare, horrible. Prescription not ready for pickup at 4:00pm, it was scheduled to be ready at 11:00am.
